By far the best video on how to remove your body work. Thanks to you I am now able to change my own oil on my 2022 GSX-R 1000R. Thank you. First oil change at 600 miles. Now it’s time for some fun, finally.
I always like to add a little red rubber grease to the rubber grommets puts the plastics under much less stress during removal, fantastic videos Brian.
Those "push in the middle" fasteners under the front fairing. Thanks for that, as I couldn't figure out how to get them out! Always the simple things... ;)
People always talk about "german engineering" this "german engineering" that, but there is nothing quite as satisfying as the way Suzuki just engineers logically to perfection on their bikes
Completely agree, it's the kind of wow-factor bike we haven't really seen much from Suzuki from in quite a while.. though there is something to be said about the K8 GSX-R1000 with the Growler from Racefit (also known as the best sounding bike in the world when it has that exhaust on).
Hey Brian, Do you think you could do a video on removing the front fairing around the headlight please? There's not much available on that and you do a GREAT job of explaining and demonstrating these things!
@@sportbiketrackgear I totally understand. Thank you for the response I could you help with instructions on how to do that or a reference that you could suggest?
Sorry that we did not include that in this video. There are some fasteners that mount the upper to the fairing stay you can access from the back side once you have the side fairings off the bike. Once you have the fasteners out there are some locator dowels that slide into some rubber grommets so you will have to pull forward lightly to remove the fairing. - Van
Pulling forward lightly is an understatement. Care to be taken not to damage the plastics when pulling forward off the rubber grommets. Success thanks.
Thank you for this video as I will get my gsxr1000r soon. I know nothing about repairing and mods. So this will definitely help me when I need to install an engine cover. Hopefully I can do it
I’ve taken all of my fairings off, about too order Hotbodies race fairings with dzus fasteners set of 6. (Not for sure how many I need. How do I remove the front headlight & led lights from the harness so that I can still have the dash screen still plugged in?
Very helpful video, thank y'all for taking the time to put this together. Side note, do you sell the cool shop style button up shirts like what you're wearing?
@@sportbiketrackgear it's a cool ole pit shirt! I'm still really enjoying the boots I purchased from you guys after watching a product overview video. 5 start company rating for Sport bike track gear all around!!
Once you have all the side panels off the side fairings off the upper fairing is pretty simple IMO. There are a couple of fasteners that need to be removed from the back side of the fairing. - Van
No I would no recommend you do that on the body fasteners. A good rule to follow would be if the factory fastener had thread locker on it then use thread locker again. - Van
@@eeasland1623 If you are looking to replace the ram air tubes the side and front fairing will need to be removed. It is not super difficult on this bike. - Van

and maybe the headlight...
but definitely the goddamn turn signals.

Mainfold The Gsxr series going back to the Srad days are superb designs for simply working on them, good design done well.
Watching Van work on bikes really makes me want to invest into a really solid set of T-Handles.
Facts! Lol and I did exactly tht 👌
I usually just put fastener right back in hole it came from to not lose track.....if it doesn't interfere
That is for sure a great way to keep track of where they came from. - Van

awesome content pal. Suzuki make some of the nicest looking bikes in the world, but also probably some of the worst looking stock indicators haha
Thanks man. I agree that the bike is beautiful but Suzuki is not going to win an OEM turn signal contest anytime soon. - Van
