Hey! Future Tiptoe here. Boy, this is an old video. Thanks for checking out these videos! If you'd like to keep up on RUclips Community info, I'll be posting extra bits of info here in the future: ruclips.net/user/TiptoeTheTankcommunity As of this post, this is a relatively young channel. I've only really been around since the end of 2020. I hope to be around for the foreseeable future; I'm excited to watch this little passion project grow. More info and content will come with time! Thank you for being here so early in the game. PEACE! -Tip
Holy sh*t. I didn't realize how deep and depressing the story actually is. I was so busy trying not to die that I couldn't focus on what narrator was saying.
the voice is sooo good that i can't tell why it doesn't have more views, it explains everything really well and i didn't get bored at all, i wish the best to the voice actor and thank you for this video.
Well done. I've just finished the New Game Plus option, and I clearly still missed a lot of the key story elements. Some of them are said in a single sentence by Rucks, so it can be hard to piece it all together if you miss a single word of the narration. You did an admirable job of summarizing everything here. Thank you.
Yeah lol I didn't know most of the stuff she was saying. I'm in the middle of a NG+ for the first time right now. Btw, did you find NG+ to be really easy? Like, too easy? I have 5-6 of the gods challenges thing on and I'm mostly breazing through it.
God i love Bastion, I played it on the 360 when I was 8 and zulf's song still hits me right in the gut 10 years later especially when [REDACTED DUE TO SPOILERS FOR THE BEST SCENE IN THE GAME] needless to say they hit this game out of the park
This is something I wanted to make a video about 5-10 years ago, but I never did. It wouldn’t have been as good as your video, especially with your awesome narrating voice
I bought Bastion about a decade ago I think, when it came out on steam. I had a crummy laptop at the time and it could handle this so I bought it just to play something, and what I got was so much more. Amazing game, amazing soundtrack, story, and everything else. 10/10 play this game.
I remember when Bastion first came out on the XB360 as part of XBox Live Arcade, can’t remember the year though. I just remembered seeing that beautiful art style, the way that as you moved the character the path built itself under their feet, the amazing voice over from the narrator that would narrator things you’re doing as they’re happening, the super fun gameplay! Aw, it was just such a blast to play and had are really good story. Super Giant Games are such talented developers when it comes to story, writing, voice acting, gameplay, and ESPECIALLY when it comes to art design! Like holy shot do ALL of their games look absolutely gorgeous with such colorful palettes that really POP and catch your eye. If you haven’t played Bastion, Transistor, or Hades you’re doing yourself a disservice. Seriously give them all a try they’re fucking great and easily 3 of the best Indie games you will ever play!
The most powerful moment of Bastion to me was if you drag Zulf out of Tazal and carry him back, the Ura will attack you at first and then when they realize what you're doing they just stop firing and... watch. They just watch you leave. One Ura shouts and attempts to fire upon you, and their nearby commander immediately knocks them out and continues to watch you go.
his mother was long dead, and the mother he had sent her was long gone...I am sure you meant money, but after hours and hours of listening to you reading me lore like bedtime storys this was the first mistake I've noticed and I thought it funny thank you for the content, keep it up!
Bro, I was so focused on beating the game that I didn't realize how deep the story was. If I'd paid more attention to the story I would've chosen different in the end
For those are missing the very on-the-nose commentary inherent to this story, realize that the entire Bastion soundtrack is intentionally made to evoke the American Frontier according to the composer.
I played and finished Bastion for like 4-5 times, yet not understanding the lore that much due to the narrator being a bit quiet before I found out there was an option to turn on subtitles, so I came here and learnt something I didn't expect.
Just finished this game now. I know I am way behind. I didn’t really pay attention to the lore, I was focused on finishing the game. Then when I was asked to choose at the end, I don’t know why but my gut told me to evacuate. Maybe that was my personality. I cannot enjoy the same things that made me happy if they are not the “same” anymore. I knew I chose the right path, for me anyways.
I remembered the ending, but then that's explained to you clearly on-screen. The rest though... as others have said, wonderfully done. Have you considered Dead Cells? I'm convinced there's proper lore in there, but I haven't been able to wrap my head around it.

exactly
Also, some of them are said while you gracefully handle 18 enemies trying to kill you. lmao

This video is a very good compilation of the knowledge scattered around the world of Bastion. Thank you so much.
I finish "Bastion" eight years ago and today I star playing it again. Thank you for making its lore more understandable.

I used to play this game on my switch, and im in love with your Videos ! 😍
Thank you! This game was amazing, and probably the best soundtrack I've ever heard in a game. Darren Korb is a legend.

WOw this video is amazing !
Just discovered this video. Very nice. Now going to check with big hope that you have one for Transistor.
She hasn't done one for Transistor yet, but it is on "The List". She has been thinking about checking out Hades though.

YOU GOT IT DONE! :DD
I did! The time just flew right by on this one. What a great story!
I hope you do Transistor next ! I haven't found a good lore video anywhere
I believe it's on the list, but I'll double check and add it if it's not 👌
Me after watching this video:
Wait, Bastion had a story???
...and it was good?
very nicely narrated ! subbed and liked
