Just discovered this channel thanks to the Hades content. Bastion has a special place in my heart as the game that made me care about games again. This video beautifully and succintly captures a big part of why that is.
I love this game. I have distinct memories of when I was a kid, when my family was moving houses and we had nowhere to stay, we would stay at little apartment nearby the local library. When ever we got the chance, my big sister would take us down to there and we would play this game for ages, every time restarting the game to get as far as we could before some other kid deleted our efforts. I god damn loved it. For a tough time, it's something I always look back on fondly.
I clicked on a random RUclipsr called Adam Millard, who then recommended this video. And it's like I've found gold. Excellent work sir. Both channels deserve more love
Bastion holds a very special place in my heart and is also my favorite game. Each play through still offers something new or special. I was really entranced by the world and story of Bastion - despite being such a short game I felt completely immersed and thought a lot about what life was like before and after the contents of the game. They say so much about the characters and world while saying so little - it is truly a wonderful example of rich storytelling. It left me feeling both very satisfied and still hungry for more, for all those things left unsaid. Thanks for the great video taking a look at some of what makes it so special, it was an enjoyable watch!
Elissa Woodbury thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I couldn’t agree more though - Bastion is definitely a special game. I must have played it over 5 times now and it’s still a fresh experience every time :)

Oh wow I got shivers in the first 10sec. That game really did a number on me.
Love this game! Its my favorite indie game behind Stardew Valley! Good stuff
hey, thanks for watching!
definitely one of my favourites too. I need to get round to putting some more time into Stardew Valley soon!
You're quite knowledgeable! Did you major in game design or something?
this is genuinely the nicest comment I’ve ever got, haha! I just have an interest is all :)
I finished the game twice now, took me a day the first time and three hours and a half the second time.
