Interesting. Thanks for sharing! There was a video some years ago of Frank's sister Patrice (Candy) Zappa at the actual grave site. She was making a statement about the lack of headstone on the grave and actually placed photos of Frank on the grave in protest. I'm sure she would know the actual spot of where her brother is buried. Also, Frank's widow Gail Zappa passed away in 2015 and is said to be buried with Frank. I visited the Memorial Park some years ago to see Frank's grave, but was also sad to see so many great names buried there.
Zappa is one of those musical artists i’ve always known about but never got listened to. will have to check out thanks for reminder. surprised to see so many famous celebrities laid to rest here, its nice can pay your respects (even to Rodney) thanks for sharing ✨
It's been a long time ago but I thought Zappa's Grave once had a bronze marker. I wonder if Zappa could have been moved after his wife died. Could also be why some body is now buried in the other grave.
@Bazerkly you usually have to buy the plot of land that you are buried in and it's really expensive, I find it hard to believe that they would dig up his body and move it to another Cemetery. But then again Anything is Possible
Great video Greg, you had quite a few bonus celebs in there too!!! Nice play on the Richard Dawson site, that's a quite the hidden gem! I always wonder why Zappa never had a head stone placed, since even to this day he has so many fans and I'm sure people would love to go and pay their respects. Excellent research!!!
Zappa never payed by the rules. I'm surprised he requested to be buried and not stuffed and put into a museum or placed in a corner of one of his kids' houses. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Greg your Tour was so interesting can’t believe THE BIG O has an unmarked grave site. ROY WAS A LEGEND. Passed away 6th DECEMBER 1988. R.I.P -from Peter Wade. AUSTRALIA. - 😢😢😢
Roy Orbison was buried at the Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles1. His grave is unmarked because his family had planned to relocate him to another cemetery, but never got around to it12. The gravestone at his grave in a Martha's Vineyard cemetery was removed and relocated, after operators of the cemetery found many signs of vandalism and rowdiness, where his body lies. In response, a cenotaph gravestone was erected at a nearby empty grave, to deter disrespectful visitors, leaving his actual final resting place without a marker3.
his grave is not identified. According to Alex, Orbison's son, this is not a deliberate decision, but rather a result of the project being delayed for a long time.
The Cemetery should have online maps to show where people are buried even if the family wanted to remain private and not have a stone. I wonder why families don't want to buy a marker and don't want people to know where loved ones are buried? Seems weird.
Even with those maps it is not guaranteed. The cemetery does have an online map made by people that don't always know what they are talking about. If you go look at any earlier videos they all got it wrong where Zappa is buried, case in point. That's because of some outside person/entity claimed Zappa was in that spot and everyone believed it. Always double check your sources.
Zappa did not want a stone so it would not be turned into some sort of shrine, all you need to do is see Jim Morrisons etc grave stones to see it would be a problem
He kind of turned into a jam band in the 70s. Jam band music is Not my favorite type of music but Zappa is amazing. I love most of his work. Thanks for watching.
@@gregsvlogshow again i would not agree, unlike jam bands the only part of his music that was imporvised was the guitar solo, the rest was still highly composed and planned out. I can understand you not liking it but I never get it when it's called jam band when really it was not. anyway nice video cheers
Frank Zappa is an American born musician popular in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s known for his very tongue in cheek lyrics and awesome musicianship. Look him up on RUclips. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea but his talent was obvious and he was an outspoken advocate for musicians in the late 80’s and early 90’s in the congressional hearings on censorship before he died. His children are musicians and actors as well.
Those stupid other vloggers! Always wanted to go to this cemetery. Didn’t know Marilyn didn’t get paid by Playboy. Yes! You had to finish with big pimpin’ Don Knotts!
goes to show, never trust the internet! Not only did she not get paid but she didn't agree to being in the magazine. I think over time it helped her career and she let it go. YES!! You know Don Knotts was a big ladies man!
How would google earth/street know where Frank is, when no one alive seems to know? His kids should just come out and tell us. What's the point of putting him in a 'celebrity' graveyard, and not telling ?
no. lol. How so? So, Clickbait is where you mislead viewer in a title so they click on a video. Nowhere in the title did I "clickbait". The debunking part comes from showing that Zappa was NOT buried where everyone was saying he was buried. So please, tell me again, how this is clickbait?
Interesting stuff Greg. You did your homework on this one. Great video! 2 legends worthy of the time you put in to this.
Well thank you , sir! I appreciate that!

❤️❤️Marilyn Monroe!❤️❤️ Thank you for this. Rodney Dangerfield too. Wow
Thank you for watching!
That was cool Greg thanks
Rodney Dangerfield = “Popcorn farts” 😂😂😂😂 Caddyshack 😂😂😂
😆
I know Roy yey and Marilyn
Yep that’s right about Hugh. Not cool at all. But very cool video of yours 🤗Jenn
Yes! Thank you!
Zappa testified to the Senate, I forgot about that until you brought up his political ambitions. 💯
Dawson sure kissed a bunch of ladies. 😄
That stone for Knott's really is cool, he was awesome too. Fun to watch Greg, nice one. 📺💯
Yep, those were some crazy times.
Ah OK thank you 😊
How cool Greg 😎
Greg you trust Google, we need a serious chat lol 😆 😂 🤣
if you only knew how many people got it wrong before, Claire. I don't trust google, I even said it in the video.😜
I can't believe they are unmarked
not just the early stuff, Zappa's stuff all the way though is amazing, he was never repetetive so that comment confused me :-)

@thelunalibrary3332 maybe Zappa's kids are the reason why Google Earth knows where his grave site is.🤷
@@gregsvlogshow Good point
Well hello 👋
The Google maps bit on Zappa made this video clickbait.

@@gregsvlogshow You claim Google maps marks the spot of Zappa's grave.
That's over the top, outlandish!
Now we need the pudding.
