I am Screaming Thank you! I am a crocheted and for a lot of my baby clothes I hate to put button between the legs. As a mother I think it is easier to use the snaps. I purchased this device about a month ago. Didn’t have time to use it. I thought it was going to be one two three. Oh my No! I watched several videos and I was still confused. I was on my way to send it back. Totally discussed! But I watched a video that didn’t help. As I was re-boxing the device to send it back your video came on. At first I didn’t pay attention until midways through your video it was something you said that made me stop and listen. I wanted to cry! Your video was so helpful and I am so grateful. Thank you and yes I subscribed to your channel!
Wohoo! Delighted to hear this video helped. Thank you so much for the sub. Hoping to get back into the routine of putting out a weekly video again soon 😄
Just found your channel and love it. Great to hear the irish accent. I'm irish too, from Sligo. Great tips on using the snaps. I have liked and subscribed
Yeay, thank you so much for your support ☺️ Apologies for the delay in responding, pregnancy exhaustion. Hoping to upload new videos again after the summer break 😄
Great video, exactly the tutorial I needed with the same tool as mine! Thank you for making this so easy. Not sure why I hadn't tried adding snaps to things before but I am definitely going to be using them a lot more now! :)
Wohoo. Hopefully you’ll love it as much as I do. I’ve been adding snaps to everything. So handy for even keeping things like gloves etc together. I’m addicted to my Kam snaps 😂
Thank you for watching & taking the time to leave a comment. Can I ask what you use your KAM snaps for? I love them. I just added them to my laptop sleeve handles so that I can snap them out of the way when the handles aren’t needed.
Thank you so much for letting me know. Not sure what happened. Here is a working link to an identical looking set to what I have & high ratings. Have fun adding snaps to everything 😁 amzn.to/3amf1Kt
I made a wallet for masks and put two of these snaps on both corners but when adding the last snap,it kept falling off as that section was thicker than the other corners so really struggled to get them to click in on one corner so going to try your method x

@@MamaBanana I've been snap happy today because of your very informative video. The kit instructions were a bit blurry to read so I jumped on to RUclips. So far I've finished off some CSP products and a couple of wet bags (that I would normally velcro fasten.)
Thank you! I've been looking for such buttons and tools but the results are pretty much all on Amazon and/or made in China, the 2 things I wanted to avoid. By your accent, I'm guessing you're Irish too? If so would you happen to know of anywhere else I can buy them, particularly a good tool that isn't made in PRC? I'm not finding any in Hickey's or similar shops. (I found some buttons from Honk Kong which is fine for me and there's a Taiwan site which have the press pliers tool but it's mainly for bulk orders)
Hi? Bang on, I’m Irish ☘️ 😊 I got the hand held presses on Amazon. But I got the heavy duty table press from www.dimples-dogbandanas.com/shop/, a pet accessories shop based in Ireland. So random! I just checked though & unfortunately don’t see any hobby accessories for sale here anymore 😞
Hi, it will depend on the thickness of the satin. A good quality double layer maybe fine. But I would recommend sandwiching a small scrap piece of fabric between the two satin layers before adding the snap, just to help prevent the fabric from ripping over time. Hope this helps.
I used my snap tool for the first time today. I managed to figure it out, but I appreciated your tips and tricks for the next time. I DO have a problem, however. My project was a little 2-layer cotton credit card case. The snap is so tight now that it’s installed, I have to use a flat screwdriver tip to pry it open. Obviously that’s not how it’s supposed to work! Any idea what the problem is? I’m sure that if I just try to pull it apart, I’m going to rip the fabric. Thanks for whatever help you or anybody else has to offer.
So sorry your comment got missed. As the fabric is so thin it would need something to give it more thickness. Ideally maybe try interfacing the fabric with an iron on fabric. Otherwise, remove the snap, then cut a circle of fabric bigger than the snap, then reattach the snap, sandwiching the circle in-between. Sorry again about the delayed response. Thanks for watching, happy New year 🥳
Yes! From Dublin. Are you from Ireland too? So glad you found this helpful. I’ll actually be reviewing another KAM product in my next video. Just trying to find time to edit 😄
Snap makes a snapping sound when I pull them apart, but doesn't make that snapping sound when I snap them together. Is it supposed to be like that? Or, did I install the snaps incorrectly?
I’m having trouble with them & I keep mixing up the male & female bits. I realise mine don’t look like yours or other people’s I’ve seen. Has the design changed. I’m tearing my hair out with them.
Hi, All the designs of these are pretty similar. The one with the post sticking out is a male piece. The one with a dimple or hole is the female piece. The male piece with the post fits into the dimple in the female part. Hope that helps a bit.
Mmmmm I’ve come across many Kam snaps over the years, they all follow the same male & female style, so this is strange. Just to confirm, your snaps are plastic?
Hi Just to say I’ve worked it out. I’m using size 14 & I looked on the website & saw that the snaps below size 20 have different female parts. Thanks for your help.
It’s hard to tell. Maybe the stud or centre part of the snap is sticking out too much, stopping it from closing? I wish there was a feature in YT to share photos.
Hi, do you have a staple remover? If so try this technique. But you can also try cracking the plastic to remove by crushing with pliers. ruclips.net/video/fXU8OgEkTOo/видео.html
Hi, Can you confirm if one is male & the other female? Also has the stem (middle part) been fully flattened down the middle? Also have any of the parts aside from the middle stem been squished? If any other part has been squished down, then unfortunately they will not fit together.
@@MamaBanana yes, definitely the same pieces you had, but both pieces still had the stalks in the middle! That's where it's going wrong! I'll try again lol thank you
Am I the only one having problems with these snap buttons? Got mine on amazon the male button stays on the female comes off and stays attached the the male part, no matter how hard I squeeze it always comes off, I suspect that the plastic pin is too short so there is not enough plastic to squish. I am so frustrated I keep on wasting so many
Oh sorry. How can I help? The process for male & female snap installation should be the same. Do let me know what your query is though & I’ll do my best to help.
I bought mine on Amazon www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00L0XJHLE/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=gs2&linkId=4e714ac20308ca2222353d81e28374b6&creativeASIN=B00L0XJHLE&tag=mamabanana03-21&creative=9325
