When mine gets near the end of the roll I have had a couple of jams. The fleece tends to literally stick to the sides. I hope yours is good after the repair.
It is an easy fix but they obviously have a defective design. I have had to replace two motors in my Reef Mat 500. The second time I asked for two replacements but they only sent one. They told me the second one was a new design and shouldn't fail. I can't believe this didn't come up in pre release testing.
My drive unit just stopped working on my reefmat 1200, warranty just expired. Redsea's response was that i need to replace it myself. Then what, replace and it lasts another year!
The protein skimmer is working just fine, I would say my only complaint would be it’s not quiet. Next time I will get a dc skimmer I think. Red Sea has a conversion for this skimmer to be changed to dc I may try that one day. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
That’s it you have shown me the last video I’ll ever watch of Red Sea there tanks seals let go within 5 years there products seem like they just pushed them out to make money without testing and there only response is if it’s not working replace it. My new tank will be a Cade and there will be no Red Sea products anywhere on out
Is there no seals at all? Also why not make them send you a whole new box, why accept changing the motor?? Looks like there is no conformal coating on the circuit board either, typical redsea nasty electronics and hardware junk in a pretty box.....
Thank you for the video! I hope I don’t need it, but because of you, I will be ready.
I hope you don’t need to fix yours.
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I don't know if this matters. it looks like the fleece roll is in on the other way around.
Yes you are absolutely right, I didn’t even notice I had done that. Thank you for pointing that out for me🙏🏻🙏🏻

It has been working great since the repair, I hope that’s the last time I need to do that lol.
