This series have been very beneficial as I debate purchasing a Reefer 250 or 300. The amount of detail on individual steps and components has been excellent. I also appreciate how genuine Hilary has been. These have not been perfectly choreographed scenes, rather she's dropping parts and and doublechecking labels just like the rest of us will. And that's made her presentation more approachable.
Thank you for this. I’ve had my reef mat in place in my 425 g2 for a year and while doing maintenance today I rerouted mine like yours. Much more roof in there without all the hose and that glass panel. These videos are really helpful. I recommend you add some lights inside your sump for both video clarity and to help you work in the sump.
Red Sea replaced my motor quickly and for free. I now love this roller mat. Having close ups of your assembly would have been better. Hilary is nice and always positive.
I don’t understand/see how you connect the overflow and regular pipes into the reefmat, I am totally lost now. I love your videos but you left out the connections with the pipes…🤷🏼♂️
Very disappointing to see you switch from filter socks (where you can save so much marine life and put it back into the aquarium) to an automated fleece roller of any brand where copepods, worms, baby starfish, etc. will just become fleece roller sushi.
that resea rollermat willnot last a year cuss it same motter in the 250 rollermat and look at resea blogs evrything crap and hard to get them to replace it
Do you even own one? If not your comment is useless. I’ve owned a Red Sea roller mat since they came out 2 years ago.my motor did in fact stop working and I contacted Red Sea. They immediately sent me a new motor and it’s been working flawlessly for 18 months. I bought a second one last year for my other aquarium and that has been going strong for 12 months with no issues.

Excellent product no problems with the motor running for little over a year.
