I'm surprised that Kyogre and Groudon aren't version exclusive, since they are in pretty much every other pair games they're in (RS, HGSS, ORAS, USUM and SwSh)
They did not want to make take even longer to get all of them
Replace Rayquaza and Mewtwo with the Kyogre and Groudon, and just put the two that are replaced in both versions.

After I did the Regis, I did the Distortion Slate which allowed me to fight a lvl 100 Giratina Origin forme so I could get the Griscious Orb for my Giratina.

I wish there were more story to legendaries. I enjoy the challenge of catching them, but it doesn't feel the same as it used to. Even Gen 1 Mewtwo felt a little more fun with the burned mansion story.

well one way to look at a possible story for gen 1-3 legendary Pokemon being in Sinnoh is the idea that after the events of each gen all of them decided to temporarily take a vacation from their regions and decided to gather at Sinnoh to wind down.

I think mysterious shards are more common when mining with others (blue shining spots). No evidence to confirm, just seemed to happen to me way more often when playing online vs offline

@@ultmewtwo Light metal? All it does is half the it's weight. The only good thing it does it half the damage you take from moves like Low Kick, which nobody runs, and Grass Knot, which will hardly get used on a steel type. At worst, it halves the damage you do from moves like Heavy Slam and doubles the damage you take from them. Maybe you think it is moderately useful, but Clear Body is a far better ability.

I love that the slates are the icons for the games that the respective legendaries came in. Like the Gameboy cartridge etc.
I've been getting very lucky with the large shards while digging in the center area of the underground(Celestia town). I could just be very lucky, or they're more common there
i think i've been unlocky - possibly due to a clock change i did for Difloom in this video and the clock didn't catch up yet.
I've been digging in the center too and coming up short everytime but getting a lot of boxes
@@AustinJohnPlays I have been diggin for 3 hours and no mysterious shards for me, probably similar to you, clock change could mess this up too... Though berries are already fixed, but not these shards
@@AustinJohnPlays Im the same but haven't changed the clock so I don't think it's that. I think it could be based on what you mentioned with how much of the underground you've unlocked AND how long you're down there in one session...

It's a good idea to bring a Breloom. It learns both Spore and False Swipe. Shroomish can be found in the Great Marsh.

A tip for kyogre is to burn it. Aqua ring will always heal first so you can false swipe it with no worries.

I've done a lot of digging myself and I've gotten way more mysterious shards in the underground underneath ramanas park than anywhere else. I've dug for hours everywhere else and it'll take me hours to get a few mysterious shards while if I dig underneath ramanas Park I get one every few minutes.
This person speaks the truth! The route right in front of ramanas park leads to an underground location with many mining spots clustered together, and I got shards very fast
Do you have to be connected via internet when digging for the mysterious shards? Because I'm offline most of the time and haven't came across not one.
@@chaoticallygamely1687 no you don't have to be online but i'm pretty sure you do get better chances of digging up better items including mysterious shards if the diglet meter is full. So if you play online you can fill up the meter faster and get a better chance of getting shards.

Not that I'm being too judgemental for people who want to shiny hunt the legendaries at ramanas park but... It's so much easier to shiny hunt them in other games. If you have the sword and shield dlc then the dynamax adventures is great. If you have a 3DS then gen 7 ultra wormhole soft resets will be so much easier since the shiny charm actually affects them. Or oras is great for soft resetting the legendaries though it's much harder to get the shiny charm in Oras.
Agreed. I decided I’m just gonna catch them all and then shiny hunt in the dynamax cave. I got bored of it last year but my diamond play through has reinterested me
Yea swsh and the ultra games are kinda op lol swsh basic odds are 1/300 if I remember that’s if you catch all four Pokémon witch that’s still big and in ultra the odds are so good u don’t even need the charm . Got three shiny legendarys just for going far in the ultra holes . These games kinda make it super hard charm doesn’t help plus you got to do the Pokédex witch you don’t haft to do in swsh or ultra .

It’s cool how the slates look like the cartridges of the original games they appeared in. Also it’s cool that these legendary Pokémon have their hidden abilities. Since we didn’t get many legit ways for obtaining legendary Pokémon with their hidden abilities.

Man, you're just killing it with all this content. Quick question for ya, but is there a way to find out odds for different items in the Underground? I'm curious and would love to know!
Edit: Nice team by the way! I'm going for an Electivire on my Diamond playthrough.
there IS a loot table that lists all 6 regions and some items being more common in some regions of the underground, but my personal findings find it to be inaccurate - so it might only be 'boosted' odds. (meaning the game says "0" for bulbasaur being in thhe South West and "5" for being in the South East. But i got a bulbasaur in the South West.)
Statue pulls are 100% random. the type of box that generates and what is pulled from it. Platnium pokemon are avilable before the national dex and the other mons are avilable after. (Like you won't pull a Charizard before the national dex.)
There are 208 mons (including the different rotom forms) that you can get stone or the rare/shiny/color variant. There is 1 statue for each of the catchable legendaries in Ramanas.

This is such a cool concept. I've always loved grindy type stuff in games since it give me more to do and it's satisfying when it's done, but I could see some people hating this feature. I can't wait to start this.... once I finally get my shiny Dialga and can move on with the story lol.

I’ve been super unlucky with the mysterious shards in general… I absolutely hate RNG but I guess it makes the legendaries feel much more special once you do catch them.

Fun fact: you do not need to become champion to get the national dex.
Also, you can give Pokémon their hidden abilities but not remove them. One possible reason for this is that Machamp could learn fissure in gen 1, transferring it up to the modern games gives it a hidden ability which means you don’t get no guard machamp with fissure.

@@thedisgruntled8226 the requirement to obtain the national dex is to see all 150 Pokémon (except manaphy) in the sinnoh Pokédex. For most players the goal will coincide with battling Cynthia as she is the only trainer in the game to have Garchomp, Spiritomb, and Milotic. By taking the time to acquire all those Pokémon yourself, you can show Rowan the Pokédex and obtain the national dex and the poke radar before even entering the league. It also unlocks national dex Pokémon in the underground and through the radar.
Becoming champion is however required for content such as opening the Spring Path to get to Giratina, riding the boat to the post game area, accessing Ramanes Park, and so on.
Aside from legendary Pokémon, of whom the other versions box legend can be registered as seen by Cynthia’s grandmother, and Unown all sinnoh dex Pokémon can be registered by battling trainers.

Yes I'm pretty sure at 4:55 he said you just need to buy an additional slate, I accidentally knocked out registeel at first bc he took recoil damage.

The game got me so hyped I went back and bought all the pokemon games except for let's go, the fact that all my favorites are in diamond and pearl and may very well one day be in violet gets me super charged to play all the games. I sure do miss the OMEGA Ruby ALPHA Sapphire way of getting legendries to players. Where you didn't have to spend hours doing a tedious thing you don't want to do..

@@JustMeSavy I am to. Considering the time investment in an activity that has 0 to do with any other mechanic. Unless you think grinding hours upon hours for a random chance to get to attempt to catch a Pokémon is engaging or mechanically interesting.
I just realized that the legendary bird’s names end with Spanish numbers. ArticUNO, zapDOS and molTRES. Uno means one, dos means two, and tres means three
Hydreigon’s line also has a number secret in the name… I’m pretty sure it’s the French one two and three

Last night I found out you can actually get the national dex before becoming champion in these games, which was a really pleasant surprise, since you definitely couldn’t do that in the originals. I finished the Sinnoh Dex after the 7th badge and got my national dex. Professor Oak said that Ramanas park is open now, but it wasn’t, however I did get the poke radar, and I’m able to find all the national dex Pokémon underground as well.
So you have to complete the dex before being able to do the stuff in this video?

Just caught registeel, the park is wild. Never had the chance to get them all before, but I mean catching it on turn three full health after yawning it w an ultra ball still has me shook
