    I love this concept of dry brushing over Contrast Paints. I’d love to see more in this series, as well as what you, as an experienced painter, can achieve with with contrast paint and drybrushing on flat panel vehicles. Nice work!

      Contrast paint is basically a glaze/shade so drybrushing over it is the same as basecoats

I'd really like to see you do more stuff like this across a few different model ranges since they all seem to give me some kind of inspiration.

    Wanted to pop back into this video and observe: this strategy works extremely well for painting a fully assembled Lady Olynder. Trying to conventionally wash shade Olynder is nearly impossible if she is completely together due to the chaotic spread of tendrils flowing behind the model. Entirely basing her in a dark color as seen here and then dry brushing upwards from there makes her far less of a pain.

    Hi! Can I make a production suggestion / request?
    I think it might be an idea to provide, either at the start or very end of these brilliant tutorials, a more in-focus, steady and lit picture of the completed model? Or a turnaround?
    A lot of far less professional or capable tutorials do this and I really appreciate it. The mini-in-front-of-hand view is fine but I often fine it a little quick, wobbly and hard to make out.
    Just a thought.
    I get a lot from your tutorials, thanks so much for your time and hard work.

      Absolutely my dude! We have more showcases in our recent videos, but it is absolutely something we are looking to get better at, and do more. A lot of the reason why is my ineptitude with technology, the new video editor is a professional photographer though, so there's some significant upgrades imminent!

    So I’m trying to achieve doomfire magenta flames that start out straight doomfire magenta and then fade to white. My fiancé helped me by adding a pallet and using a little bit of white. Like we slowly added more white to the different pools of magenta and got lighter and lighter shades. So right now I think I’m ok but I’d still like to know what you would do.

    • @ArtisOpus
      @ArtisOpus  2 года назад +1

      No worries man, I would prime the entire thing light grey, drybrush it white, and then just dilute more and more with medium toward the bottom, letting the white basecoat show through :)

    When do you use the small one ?
    I really don't understand this one... In fact I use the Large and medium... But the two other are kind of not use.
    Can you show one use in a video ?
    Can you do one human minis also (like a barbarian) of the small size ?
