I’m really impressed with how they are really going into every detail of the build up. It’s so important to understand the whole story, if it was all just wars and battles then people would say it’s too much like the later seasons of game of thrones. They are trying to show you the detail and once the story is over, I think we will be glad they took their time with telling it.
I hate this man, They have to involve g@y $hit everywhere. Can't we accept that are not so many g@ys in this world as frequent as they show in TV shows.
For the first time, I really feel bad for Aegon. Despite his failures and behaviors, he doesn't deserve to lost his child and get burned by his own brother. His scene with Larys was epic and a peak of writing.
I was absolutely mad when the Hightowers took Rhaenyra's crown from her. But seeing Aemond expelling Alicent from the council was definitely one of my favorite moments in this episode. She tries to reach his heart, but she has long ago ignored and neglected him.

Finally Daemon is doing something BOTH dreams and Riverlands They should do BOTH, or making dreams meaningful in his mind/decisions (episode 2345) or making introductions about the Riverlands lords like the Blackwoods or more about the Tullys
I mean… Mysaria was Daemon’s paramour. And Rhaenyra said she and Daemon are of each other and are basically the same person. She always came off a bit fruity when she was young as well, even in the Pilot script she was flirting with Alicent. So the kiss makes complete sense to me actually. I was a bit shocked that they actually put it in, but I kinda get it. Also, does anyone else feel like Aemond is the only character keeping the lights on in this show at this point? My guy is so cutthroat and fun to watch, giving his own mother the boot is crazy!
I agree about Aemond carried season 2 alongside with Aegon. 👏Both actors Ewan and Tom did amazing job. Hopefully they both will get at least nominations for Emmy and Golden Globe.

I wish they had been doing the seeds throughout the season. This is late, if they just suddenly get claimed one after the other in the last two episodes.
I appreciate that Aemond is a dynamic character. A single one of his council meetings results into more character and plot progression than all of Dragonstone meetings combined.

@@rahmatmanurung8133actually I always thought if they were not fighting each other to the death under different circumstances, they might’ve understood and found a kinship.
I love how Daemon's visions show how HE saw/sees different encounters. We saw in one episode that he sees the crown as being too large for Rhaenyra's head. In all his visions, we see how he viewed those incidents. In this episode he's having a breakthrough. Instead of seeing his brother's anger as it was demonstrated, he is seeing WHY his brother displayed such anger - he displayed that anger because of how hurt he was by Daemon's behavior. Daemon finally understands what is underneath his brother's banishment, how much he actually hurt his brother, who needed him at that time. This is a huge breakthrough for Daemon's character. His is "dying" in this place, in more ways than one.
Storywise, I can't understand why they made Mysaria and Rhaenyra hook up. It was an incredible vunerable moment for Mysaria and both characters are interesing in their own ways. Why do they feel the need to suddenly implement a love-relationship (or at least a physical relationship) for these characters? Aemond's character development is incredible tho! Ewan Mitchell and Tom Glenn-Carney as Aegon are soo good this season!
Perhaps because it was hinted at in the books, Mushroom alleged they had a thing. So you know, if it is going to be confirmed, a vulnerable moment between the two is probably where it will have come from.
Because it shows Rhaenyra's loneliness after Daemon left, Rhaenys died and her family dropping like flies. She's a flawed character that is desperate for companionship or for female companionship that understands/validates her own experiences (that's how she comes off anyways. Don't know about book Rhaenyra). Also, you're supposed to question Mysaria's intentions.
say what you will about mysaria but this whole episode it's so obvious rhaenyra was being set up to be with her in a sense, her frustations and worries against daemon, the council and their reliance on him, the misogyny, mysaria's plan working better than anyone else's, her support of rhaenyras battle atire, and ofcourse that final scene, "you have me", that must've been the moment she knew...
exacly and this is also...what Rhae always does...I love her but she always has a tendency to look for comfort in someone else when she is abandoned, with Criston, Harwin and even Daemon
WHY IS THERE NO FOOD BEING BROUGHT TO KINGS LANDING?!? It is not an island, the sea blockade blocks one route, but you can bring wagons into it by land from the reach, or the stormlands or crown lands? It makes 0 sense that the city is starving.
They dont care. Aemond cares knly about the war being fought and even says “so?” When asked about how they will eat. He doesnt care to find a solution because they dont matter to him.
BOOK SPOILER BELOW the scene with rhaenyra and mysaria was not unnecessary, in fact it just makes everything more complex and interesting, the dialogue between them shows what rhaenyra always wanted to be, someone who dominates, who is careless and dangerous, everything that the daemon is, for me this scene makes it clear that mysaria used this to her advantage, the music and the atmosphere leave this somewhat implied, which makes mysaria's betrayal even more unpredictable, both for the viewer and for rhaenyra herself, which leaves mysaria with a huge advantage in this game, remember, this is game of thrones, full of betrayals, this whole scene and dialogue were one of the highlights of the series and it develops and gives more layers for all the characters involved in it, especially rhaenyra
This episode was better than the last, but overall I'm not enjoying season 2. The worst storyline is Daemon at Hotel Harrenhal. My favorite scene included the characters I dislike the most; Larys and Aegon.
That seems more like a 'you' problem. GOT had 3 big battle episodes over the first 6 seasons and each of those seasons had 10 episodes LOL. Seems more like your short attention span can't handle subtle character-focused storytelling.
@Regenmacher175 Season 2 has been quite boring compared to season 1 (besides ep 4) We are not expecting Dragon fights in every episode, but at least make it engaging with solid conversations, we are yet to see Aemond & Helena having a conversation how lazy are the writers? Too dragged out and character development for this season is so weak. They’re making Rhaenyra so incapable and weak. The make out sesssion with Mysaria was so badly written. It was basically, you’re a woman and I am a woman and I don’t need Daemon so I wanna make out with you.
Honestly this episode was so bad, I became Team Green😂. Aemond and Jace are the only good characters. The writers need to read our comments and take notes: stick to the books. Use GOT as a lesson. Rhaneyra's character is weakened. Why can't Mysaria just follow her out of her belief....why does the Queen always have a play to gain followers? In the books people just bent the knee because they believed in her!
I dont hnderstand. Sometimes people are around each other enough and if they have proclivities, coupled with the obvious attempts at seduction from Mysaria, then stuff like this happens. I think youre more bothered by the facf that it was gay
💔THESE TWO WOMEN FINDING each other, finding true love, this scene is beautiful.. Using your logic no gay scenes are necessary. It shows Rhaenyra is different from others, she's not ashamed of being loved by another women, specially when she's alone and stressed and need someone...
This episode was a wake-up call to Alicent about just how insignificant her role is in all of this. She's been manipulated by everyone around her her whole life into thinking she's somehow in control.
Seems this episode got a very low rating, but I personally liked it alot more than ep 3 and 5, alot more things happened in this episode I feel and we finally got to see dragons again. I do think this episode is a step in the rigth direction. Abit shame that so many are giving this episode in particular the hate for fillers though, I feel previous episode was ALOT more boring and filler. I think we all excepted House of the Dragon so have a faster pacing considering there is only one book.
I endorse mysaria to sit on rhaenyra' council what an absolute brilliant Pr / political strategist the small folk has always been overlooked in this series nice to see someone cared about them for a change rhaenyra sending them food was major power move the green can't fight on two fronts like they're are losing power but, youre only as strong as the people let you be.
There was absolutely no reason for Rhaenyra to get sexual with her chief of staff. Just because you're starting to trust someone who is helping you doesn't mean you jump into bed with them, and just because you're having marital problems with a man and have never been anything other than heterosexual does not mean you suddenly have a thing for women. It was a major artistic gaffe for the writers to go and wokeify the show with that little turn and it doesn't fit the characters at all.
Youre being ridiculous and sound like a Karen lmfao. “SeXuAl WiTh HeR ChIeF oF sTaFf” like shes working a corporate position lmao. She is a human being and she has been strategically seduced by Mysaria and you’re acting like shes a manager breaking corporate rules. Get a grip
Get a grip karen. Someone being gay doesnt mean its wokeness. Gay people actually exist. And she is bejng seduced by Mysaria. Youre treating her like she should be some perfect manager or skmething.
Same here.. the writing and logic sometimes just isn't there. The way they handled b & c. Making team black saints specifically rhaenera etc. Made me watch GoT again for good writing. Lastly I just give up and now I'm only watching for how cool aemond is.
Olivia's comment about Marie Antoinette saying "let them eat cake" was quite interesting. It’s worth noting that this phrase was actually propaganda used by the revolutionaries and has no basis in fact. However, what I find frustrating about Rhaenyra's story this season is her foolish mistakes and indecisiveness. For instance, she allowed Darklyn to attempt to tame a dragon, leading to his death, despite his importance to her council. She needs to start acting like a queen in an actual war. When the Starks arrive, we might finally see some real leadership and a genuine effort to win the war.
I see people grow bored of the visions, but I think it's far more interesting to show Daemon where he is powerless and lost so we can see him forced to change. His near mental breakdowns this episode I found exceptionally interesting, imo.
@@TheRealHerbaSchmurba In this part of Fire and Blood he's not doing much other than staying at Harrenhal gathering an army. At least the show made that part interesting. I enjoy the visions and the addition of Alys Rivers is also fairly important.
Disappointing, they made Mysaria and Rhaenyra hook up. It was a touching, vulnerable moment for them. I was starting to like the instant bond of friendship they're forming. Why can't they make characters vulnerable and form friendships without getting sexual? Why can't we see a genuine bond of pure friendship in this show for once?

Writers want to implement their own ideas and motives to the show. They could less about the source material. I’m not surprised but disappointed. At least we got to see Viserys again. The show is not the same without him.
The book never was a reliable source anyways, it's written by an in-universe scholar who probably would have been employed by the winning side anyways. So the amount of trustworthy content in there is likely to be dubious at best.
@@Pinoyslayer8888without the book lovers originally growing this brand you wouldn’t have a show to watch. They aren’t wrong for wanting it adapted properly.
@@studentt6064The book is a history book using multiple sources. The book isn't someone making everything up. Fiction readers don't understand how history is written. We get our history from multiple sources. A history book contains more than one source. I do read history and GRRM reads history. This is why he wrote Fire and Blood that way. The sources for The Dance of the Dragons come from Mushroom who spent a lot of time in Rhaenyra's court, High Septon Eustace and Grand Maester Munkun who used the writings of Grand Master Orwyle as his source and wrote about the war. These are the main sources Archmaester Gyldayn is working off and he includes them in the book. He sometimes gives his opinion of which he believes might be most true. So the book is not meant to be made up. Otherwise GRRM wouihave written it to begin with. It's just that it's written by someone who didn't live during that time and has to rely on other sources. The reasons we know history of our own world is from written accounts by other people. Sometimes these accounts can contradict each other. When reading a history book, the sources are usually numbered at the back to let the reader know where the author got the information from. However the changes in the show aren't all down to the interpretation of sources. Velaryons being black is just a show change, Maelor, Elmo and Kermit being cut is a show decision. Rhaenys killing people in the dragon pit and almost killing the greens is not even mentioned in the book as it never happened. Otherwise High Septon Eustace would've said something as he is one of the sources in the book. Alicent is older than Rhaenyra in the books, the show aged her down. Christen Cole never beat Joffrey Lonmouth to death at a feast. He killed him in a tourney. Laenor was killed and witnesses saw him. In the show he survives as they didn't want to kill off another gay character. Daemon doesn't murder his wife and he was fighting in the stepstones during the time she died. The changes I mentioned have nothing to do with interpretations of F&B. Which is why I am not mentioning those decisions. What the author is biased to is men, he talks highly of men in the book but this is accurate for medieval historians as they didn't speak as highly about women. Like Edward II had multiple stories of how he died and a claim he had survived and was allowed to live in exile. This is the confusion fantasy readers are having of history. Fire and Blood is written like a history book and is meant to be read that way. As real life history has a lot of stuff we still aren't sure about and we are relying on different accounts. As if you have read Roman history then someone like Cassius Dio might be one of the sources used. I have seen people saying Fire and Blood is useless and if that was the case then there would be no point in the book. GRRM didn't write it for no reason.
I’m Team Black but my heart truly continues to break for Aegon. He’s constantly being manipulated and emotionally hurt by those around him, including his family. He lost his son, which he barely mourned for, he lost his dragon that he clearly had a strong bond with and now is swallowing the fact that his brother hates him and wants him dead. 🥲💔
I get having empathy, but he's a rapist who gleefully watched his own bastards fight to death in underground fighting pits. He's only upset his legacy has been disturbed. If he was truly mourning he wouldn't have gone to the whore house 48 hrs later and spent 8 min laughing at a named aemond in front of his posse. The show wants to paint aegon more gray this season, but his established crimes in se1 are too distracting
@@africanodyssey4805 I understand the sympathy too but people just forget he had his flaws and did mistakes too. The actors Tom and Ewan did great job and carried season 2 for me.
I tip my hat to Steffon, he's got nuts, the problem was he cowards away. Dogs and a thug know when you're scared. What was he thinking when he was stepping up to an instrument of mass destruction? By the way, the armor was a dumbass itea.
Aemond & Team Green make the show. I don’t get the hate for Aemond, he put his bullies & abusers in their place. Yet he’s hold responsible for everything bad that happens, while daemon can literally kill a toddler & everyone is fine with it. Or Rhaenys killing a bunch of people just for a cool exit, but that’s ok ofc, because it’s TB. I hate how biased writing is on this show. Rhaenyra is to blame why they all starve in kings landing, yet writing finds a way how to excuse her, erasing all her bad sides from the books. That’s why Team black is so boring to watch. In GoT both sides had flaws. Saying Rhaenyra is a woman & that’s why she’s a good ruler isn’t enough to make her interesting.
We waited 2 years for this?! What a boring season. It's not even about getting more dragon fights and battles, GOT's earlier seasons barely had them and yet they were so good. It's the uneventful plot lines + the story telling and dialogue for this season is just meh. wtf did y'all do to daemon? Good job ruining one of GRRM's favorite and well written character. At least D&D had the excuse of running out of source material. Horrible season.
Every agonizing second of Aegon for some reason made me want more. I want to hold him and coddle him and tell him it’s alright. Why is that? I loved seeing him whimper and try to run from Aemond. Am I alone in this? Am I insane?
I feel sorry for him but people just forget he had some bastard sons being forced to fight each other in ep 9 season 1 😅 I mean I don't hate Aegon but he did mistakes leading him to meet this fate.
The more you see Mysaria as a Sara Hess self insert in season two, the more her role makes sense. The character was basically redone to be Rhaenyra's lover and biggest d-rider-Sara Hess's perfect self insert character. If you took away 90% of her scenes, it wouldn't affect the story. They should drop the storyline because the majority of viewers don't want it. They set up Daemyra as the main couple and should stick to it because no one likes Mysaria as a character.

I was absolutely mad when the Hightowers took Rhaenyra's crown from her. But seeing Aemond expelling Alicent from the council was definitely one of my favorite moments in this episode. She tries to reach his heart, but she has long ago ignored and neglected him.

Counsel, not help 😂😂😂
That’s getting old
Poor Daemon. I hope there is a greater meaning to this arc.
Finally Daemon is doing something BOTH dreams and Riverlands
They should do BOTH, or making dreams meaningful in his mind/decisions (episode 2345) or making introductions about the Riverlands lords like the Blackwoods or more about the Tullys

The sowing of the seeds is a pivotal moment in Fire and Blood, and I'm really impressed with how the show is handling it. I'm relieved they didn't transfer Jace's idea to another character, which has happened a lot this season.

I appreciate that Aemond is a dynamic character. A single one of his council meetings results into more character and plot progression than all of Dragonstone meetings combined.
Aemond insultingly releasing Alicent his mother from small council duties was probably one of the best scenes of the entire episode.

Aemond is right about Alicent being part of the council. She was the first to defend the idea that a woman shouldn't rule.
Yep... She has no place in that room
She would have a place in the room. He did not kick her out because she is a woman, he did it because he knows she loves Rhaenyra, and that she's a fool for that
It's got nothing to do with this as he said in the first episode anyone who has compassion for the enemy is an idiot.he used to value her and would do anything for her up until this moment.if you paid attention it looks like Alicent is trying to destroy the Targaryen even her own children she works against them because they are Targaryen too 🎉

Adam and Alyn scenes are getting better with every episode
Storywise, I can't understand why they made Mysaria and Rhaenyra hook up. It was an incredible vunerable moment for Mysaria and both characters are interesing in their own ways. BOOK SPOILER BELOW
the scene with rhaenyra and mysaria was not unnecessary, in fact it just makes everything more complex and interesting, the dialogue between them shows what rhaenyra always wanted to be, someone who dominates, who is careless and dangerous, everything that the daemon is, for me this scene makes it clear that mysaria used this to her advantage, the music and the atmosphere leave this somewhat implied, which makes mysaria's betrayal even more unpredictable, both for the viewer and for rhaenyra herself, which leaves mysaria with a huge advantage in this game, remember, this is game of thrones, full of betrayals, this whole scene and dialogue were one of the highlights of the series and it develops and gives more layers for all the characters involved in it, especially rhaenyra
so we guess mysaria is use rhaenyra to reach her own need. i know it, rhaenyra should never make mysaria live in dragonstone

Unfortunately i don't think that Mysaria is strong like Varys to refuse power- she comes as very ambitious and greedy for acknowledgement.

I love it ... I was scared that they wouldn't give depth to his character this season but luckily they're doing it very well
Yet people keep saying every werk theyre tired of him in Harrenhall like he isnt getting some of the best character work.
I see people grow bored of the visions, but I think it's far more interesting to show Daemon where he is powerless and lost so we can see him forced to change. His near mental breakdowns this episode I found exceptionally interesting, imo.

Nothing is better than making book lovers cry
Writers have no idea what to do with Rhaenyra and Alicent.
What really bothers me , is that she always wearing this Green Dress, like does she not have any other clothings.
Lmfao it's her family color like the other one she dresses up a dress that has a dragons pattern
PLEASE NO MORE LUIGI MANSION DAEMON EDITION, WE GET IT 🫠🫠🫠🫠
You dont know what good character development is
What is it that you are getting? Please enlighten us as to the meaning behind this storyline that seems to be so obvious to you.
All that just sounded like karma to me tbqfh.
synfyre is still alive if that makes it any better , he will live
Aemond sealed his fate by sending away Alicent
but he asked for otto, smart move. although calling larys a toad earned his disloyalty
I tip my hat to Steffon, he's got nuts, the problem was he cowards away. Dogs and a thug know when you're scared. What was he thinking when he was stepping up to an instrument of mass destruction? By the way, the armor was a dumbass itea.
bahahah Rhaenys was wearing armour when she died on melyes
@@bonbonvegabon i think he meant it's harder to drop and roll to put the fire out (and it cooks you alive from within)
Can we please call D&D back? Even GoT Season 8 was not as boring and stupid as this sh*t.
When Larys talks to Aegon about how his father thought a family member had cursed him at his birth, was he talking about Alys Rivers?
Literally CW-tier writing. HBO is falling off.
wahhhh more crying fake fans
Hugh is awesome in warrior too
We waited 2 years for this?!
Ah this episode
Every agonizing second of Aegon for some reason made me want more. I want to hold him and coddle him and tell him it’s alright. Why is that? I loved seeing him whimper and try to run from Aemond. Am I alone in this? Am I insane?
I feel sorry for him but people just forget he had some bastard sons being forced to fight each other in ep 9 season 1 😅 I mean I don't hate Aegon but he did mistakes leading him to meet this fate.
@@rahmatmanurung8133 For fuck sake his kids do not fight all we saw was small boy sitting on side and what mistakes did Aegon make ?
@@rahmatmanurung8133confirmed that he doesn’t know there his
Rhaenyra and Mysaria going for each other’s Daemon sloppy seconds
not everything is about Daemon, just like Rhaenyra said last ep
The more you see Mysaria as a Sara Hess self insert in season two, the more her role makes sense. The character was basically redone to be Rhaenyra's lover and biggest d-rider-Sara Hess's perfect self insert character. If you took away 90% of her scenes, it wouldn't affect the story. They should drop the storyline because the majority of viewers don't want it. They set up Daemyra as the main couple and should stick to it because no one likes Mysaria as a character.
