- How did Darth Vader find out about Exegol? The story begins in issue 6.
After tempting Luke Skywalker on Bespin, Darth Vader set out to confront those who hid his son from him. Upset with Vader’s uprising, Palpatine tortured his apprentice, leaving his broken body on Mustafar with the directive to rebuild himself without the use of the Force.
At the Techno Union installation, Vader repairs his body with ancient battle droid parts as his master adds to the Dark Side lesson, sending Sith assassin Ochi of Bestoon to kill his apprentice.
During their confrontation, Ochi mentions the Emperor is building power. Obsessed with discovering where his master is doing this, Vader follows a voice in the Force to The Eye of Webbish Bogg. Providing Vader with a Sith Wayfinder, The Eye challenges Vader that if he has been chosen, do his choices even matter?
Plugging the wayfinder into the Jedi starfighter he had flown to Mustafar nearly two decades before, Vader follows the navigation points to the planet Exegol.
Showing his apprentice everything being developed on the Sith planet, the Emperor’s lesson is complete. Vader is once again focused on the Dark Side of the Force and has chosen to share in the power his master is building.

“Ancient battle droid parts” from 20 years ago lmao
I mean the longest serving Warship at the time was 20 years old too
I mean they're technically ancient, nobody sees battle droids after tcw
@@shrektha3rd Other than the many reprogrammed and used for labor or as servants
Yes lol Ancient means 1,000 years
@@Kevin-zz9du To be fair if you were handed a computer from 20 years ago in our world it'd be considered "ancient" with how much our technology has evolved from then
Imagine what Vader felt when he flew his old ship, the last time he was inside the ship,he still had padme and was more man than machine
Why wouldn't he just go to hi's fortress on Mustafar and take a tie fighter lol

Vader sees fleet of Star destroyers, each capable of destroying a planet.
Vader: “why the hell are we building a Death Star then?”
Because Palpatine needs somewhere to have a big chair to sit in and look menacing.
Papa Palps: They won’t b online for another 40 years we’re building something in the short term
@@austinperry1671 maybe if they invested more in the fleet of planet destroyers rather than 2 giant space stations, they could've been made sooner
@@godlymoose9118Did you see how hard it is to get to Exegol? How are you gonna get workers, supplies, crews that deep into unknown space?
@@CyberController- then why build it on Exegol anyway, they just outright built the Deathstars without hiding it on some hidden Sith planet. Seems like the effort to make it hidden didnt matter since they built a completely function Death Star and after it was destroyed, partially built one to functional condition while the civil war was in full swing.
Anakin: Luke...before I die...I must tell you...the Emperor has a back up plan on the planet Exegol...you will need a Wayfinder to get there...I have one at my home in Mustafar you can easily get...
These star wars comics are just about trying to repair giant plot holes the recent movies made uh?
Edit: Told ya I'd be famous Mom.
What?(I get what you mean but no not really as this has been a long ongoing comic series)
Same thing goes for the prequels and the expanded material released during that time.
So their.... making Disney Legends then.
Greaaaaat.
@@WeboKonAroz No, the Prequels never had to make comics to explain massive plot holes. They wrote other stories that happened during the Prequels to better explore the characters, and the Clone Wars itself.
@@madmedicgaming4094 maybe plothole was the wrong term. What the prequels lacked and needed filling in later was context. Why was the republic so quick to accept this clone army that popped out of nowhere? Why were the jedi chosen to lead despite not being military? Why did the Seperatists succeed in the first place? Stuff like this is missing in the films.
He probably got some memories back when he flew that star fighter

"Hey, we gotta make Episode 9 fit into the story retroactively. Just go nuts with it"
This comic is made.
Wait you’re telling me forceghost anakin new about this all this time and didn’t tell Luke to go and stop it?
Anakin probably just assumed palpatine was dead.
Like literally everyone else
except disney
Well he did in the recent novel, but that was years after this event, and he still couldn't lead his son to exegol... Just needed a Wayfinder, then Luke gave up and had a bad dream
And why didn't Vader just go to his home on mustafar isn't that where he built his home
And why didn't Obi-Wan tell Luke that Vader was his father? Because that didn't seem like relevant information. If Palatine was dead, why would Exegol matter?
These recent Vader comics in the 2020 series are just damage control for The Sequel Trilogy
The sequel “tragedy”. lol
@@chrismurray3224 EXACTLY DUDE 😎
By damage controling they inflict more damage
Vader comics: expands on ST lore while also giving a great story arc to Vader
Dudebros that haven't even read them: oMg dAmAgE cOnTroL
Nah. Y’all are just mad that Disney is explaining the movies so you’d have nothing to bitch about.
These comics go to insane levels, like Palpatine and Vader having a giant kaiju pokemon battle or Vader flying his old Jedi starfighter while his ship holds a escape pod containing the assassin
Thats just a big plothole, why did Anakins Force Ghost not tell Luke, he could have prevented the complete events of the sequels
like we know anakin tried to repair his relationships with his children after his death and helped them on their journeys
Because he thought palpantine was dead.which is how it was supposed to be
Wasn’t Luke trying to find Exegol tho? So maybe he did but it took too long for Luke to find it.
@@aniketchafekar4117 doesnot change the point, it still was a important Sith planet with enough recources to build one of the most dangerous fleets in the galaxy
@@aniketchafekar4117 no it wasn't George Lucas always planned on bringing palpatine back that's why in legends palpatine was brought back multiple times
Seriously, I'm waiting for the lore "How Darth Vader gone back in time and fathered himself"🤔
Ah my favourite comic
This seems more interesting than the recent movies.
The cool part of this series is that Vader spend the whole time building up for this big confrontation with Palp, but eventually it leads him to Exegol and once Palp shows him what's going on there, Vader completely abandons trying to face Palp; Palp has simply become too strong
"Ahh yeah forgot about that hihi"
~ Force Ghost Anakin to Luke probably
All this comic does is create another plot hole. Why didn't Anakin warn Luke about Exegol after he came back as a spirit? It would've been nice, since Luke saved his life.
Never once thought to let Luke know as a force ghost for 30 years 😂
It's almost like Disney cannon is broken beyond repair.
Says the guy that hasn't read shit. Luke searched for Exegol, the f*cking movie tells you that.
Anakin did try to warn Luke during shadows of the sith. But if I recall, there was some great dark shadow preventing anakin and other force ghosts from making prolonged contact. And I think Luke described it like trying to listen to a transmission with heavy static? Or something like that
@@jg6688458Shh, don't actually answer their question. Just nod and say "yes, new thing bad"
This comic is really cool but then I remember that the only reason it exists is because the sequel trilogy is a jumbled mess that lacks even a coherent timeline of events.
No it exists because they planned on making it and the reason the sequel trilogy is missing the information that was explained here is because they knew the comic would be written.
@@tybowry609 finally, someone with common sense.
The comic exists because they wanted to write a cool comic about it. Do you understand how pacing works? If they tried to explain all this stuff in that movie, the pacing would have been an absolute trainwreck. That's what Star Wars does, it introduces a lot of information in the movies and tells an interesting story, and then uses other material to explain stuff that the movies were missing. It's been like that since the original trilogy, it continued into the prequels, and the sequels are just continuing that long-standing trend.
@@Bored_Overthinker And yet the pacing in the sequel trilogy is a trainwreck regardless. Along with the plot, the characters...pretty much everything about them really. The CG looked alright, but other than that they were a dumpster fire of epic proportions and everyone knows it (even the cast themselves came out and said it was a horrendous mess).
@@RichWilco Whatever you say, bud.
Is it possible to do the uprising on kamino?
So... Force ghost anakin couldn't give a heads up to anyone?
It was the crystal moment that was badass. Palpatine wasn’t even effected, Vader was screaming in pain. That’s when he realizes that Palps was on another level.
Pretty sure Jedi Interceptors don't have an inbuilt hyper drive, so there would be no way for Darth Vader to get to Exegol in it that quickly.
This Comic is one of the best things that happend in starwars universe
Imagine a conversation between force ghost Anakin and Yoda...
"Should i tell them that a clone of Palatine is still there along a secret planet in the unknown regions with a fleet of star destroyers that each can destroy a plane"
"Nah dawg it will be alright"
Dark side lessons are tough but when you finish them you can see the benefit and the reasoning behind it.
No way! I’m reading this series!
The better question would be “Why didn’t Vader tell Luke about Exegol.
This would be such a nice storyline for the Vader spin-off show
This is a pretty neat, I like how it continues a long-standing trend of adding extra information when the movies were missing it because the movies couldn't have possibly put in this information while retaining good pacing and a reasonable run time.
They should of made a movie on this or a tv series
I wouldn't mind an animated movie base on this.
Actually I'm surprised there aren't any SW animated movies base on SW comics/books, I mean, if DC can do it all the time, then surely SW can too.
Guy called the holocron a "wayfinder"
It hurts
Holocrons and wayfinders are different things
After his death at the Battle of Endor, Anakin Skywalker's Force ghost: "Luke, I've got to warn you about Exegol..."
Wait, no, that didn't happen.
Glad there are people seeing through this excuse for damage control
I thought bro was standing next to a mini Star destroyer💀
You forgot about the mouse droid part :
Loved the comics but that was literally the moment I stopped reading, trying to shoehorn the crap sequels 🙄
As a guy who read this comic
The first 5 issues are still my favorite and then they just had to tie in to Exegol and it’s probably the one comic I regret getting as it messed up the flow for me
Tbh exegol is cool af but it just doesn’t make sense. It implies Palpatine knows he’s going to lose, because he wouldn’t hide something this powerful if he was confident he would rule the galaxy. It also doesn’t make sense from a technological standpoint. Why make a Death Star if Star Destroyers are just as capable? It would be one thing if it was an intimidation tactic, but I don’t think that’s the case. I enjoy episode 9 and I like exegol, but it’s a huge plot hole
The stupidity of Palpatine is what has been the Sith downfall since the beginning. Their own hubris. Palpatine is just the combination of the Old Ancient Sith mistakes added to the rule of two Darth Bane perfected. Palpatine is basically the worst possible Sith Lord in existence, a fool with a ton of power.
He knew he would lose eventually he just didn't know when that's why he made the contingency plan and started working on it early on
@@rairai5114 So according to you the only one who ever completed the Sith Grand Plan, destroyed the Jedi, and completely took over the Galaxy, is the “worst possible Sith Lord in existence?” Lmfaoo wtf dude
@@MerkhVision Sidious didn't complete shit, he ruined it. What was his rein, like 25 years? Give me a break. The Old Sith Empire lasted thousands of years lol!

I can't stress how good some of the comics are, especially this Vader one. If you can't stand the direction Disney has for Star Wars then I implore you to read this
We need a show based on the Darth Vader comics.
And don't forget they fought each other with cool giant monsters 🙂
Ochi of bestoon is a GOAT I believe this is the one they introduced him in.
Wait so what happened to the guy Palpatine sent to fight Vader?
Guess
Nice to know what happened to Anakin's Jedi Starfighter from Rots
But where do they get their toilet paper for all that time? Surely there’s someone running basic commodities in the galaxy and they have to have noticed toilet paper orders to fill a thousand star destroyers.
This should have been the way for him to leave the sith empire and choose his own way finally.
That just shows how evil palpatine is.He litterally left Vader where he found him 22 years earlier.
The more I learn about Anikan/Darth Vader the sadder his story gets
Bro I was about to comment "ochi of bestoon is a GOAT" but when I opened the comment section it showed my comment from 4 months ago saying the same thing hahahaha wtf 😂😂😂.
I didn't think vader ever knee about testicle
Handy that no one nicked the ship in all that time
Why didn’t Vader tell Luke about all of this when he turned back to the light side? Can’t wait for the next comic to fix that one too!!
OH SH** THEY FIGURED IT OUT
why tf they always abandon vehicles for decades and they always worl but if its just slightly too cold my car wont start
HEY YOU LEFT OUT THE MOUSE DROIDS THAT HELEN HIM
Damn that's a small star destroyer....
The first comic I’ve read ever
Vader's costume looks so much better in The Empire Strikes Back than in the Kenobi series and the new Disney Star Wars.
Vader's outfit for the new canon like Rogue One and the Kenobi series is based on his outfit/costume in A New Hope.
Wait, I know this comic is to try to fix plot holes, but doesn't this make it worse, you'd think Vader would tell Luke about this when he becomes good either before dying or just tell it to Luke as a force ghost, "he son, now that I'm one with the force and a good guy now, I got to tell you the emperor has a million star destroyers on this planet named exogul"
I have these comics in this video they’re so good!
I take it this is the crap story from Disney and not the Legends storyline
VII, VIII, IX the damage is done
The force can help you to rebuild
Lego City it's bricks of fun .
And he nicely put the wayfinder either in that box on Mustafar(?) or in the imperial vault.
Dam we could have had a happy ending for Anakin and possibly Ahsoka and Rex for once
It’s crazy how literally all of the other Star Wars movies except Rise of Skywalker were just a big trick. Literally none of the other plot matters. Anakin didn’t even tell his son about the real plan before he died or when he became a force ghost. Lol. Good trick
I’m only liking this video because I like your content. The new Star Wars crap can suck it
i love how in the original movies Vader and Palpatine get along and then they throw this shit in. he didn’t torture Vader. fuck these comics
Where did his robot arm go in episode 6
I mean he probaby replaced it.
If only Disney followed the story the George gave them with the franchise when they bought it
But Jedi fighters do not have light speed travel so how did he managed to go to hexagol ?
Nice fanfic
It's not a fanfic. This is a canon event.
@@Scar-Predator 😂
@@johnconnor2753 I'm not lying. Disney owns Star Wars so they decide what is canon not you.
Is it me or ochi of bestoon's helmet looks like a Gundam?
Well THAT would be a Great Idea for a side movie/show wouldn't IT ‼️‼️
I wouldn't mind an animated movie base on this.
Actually I'm surprised there aren't any SW animated movies base on SW comics/books, I mean, if DC can do it all the time, then surely SW can too.
His place in the rear of the pack must have meaning and I want to find out what that is. He should be at the right hand of his master.
"ahhh those canadians, gotta love those guys so nice!! anyways russia.."
Exegol? What is this? Can you eat it? 🤔🤪
Wayfinder 🤨
So the jedi starship worked after 20 years on a volcanic planet where some Ash Storm or lava destroy everything? The comics are about as bs as the movies by now
If you’d read the comic you’d know he has to repair the ship first
Fuck that!
As others have pointed out, if this is true then Luke would have sought out Exegol. And you can't tell me he couldn't have just followed a ship to it - the resources for whatever stupid amount of Death Star Destroyers had to be shipped in from somewhere.
Dunno what they were using, but judging by size and numbers, they could just use resources of the planet
By any chance was that master Yoda’s jedi star fighter
No it was the starfighter Anakin flew to Mustafar in episode 3
Trying to legitimize the broken husk that is the sequel trilogy.
I think this only applies to those who have read the comics. There simply isn't enough info here to make any sense in a short
I see people say there are plot hole and yes i agreed there are plot hole but we need to think as vader and Anakin as two different people
To bad vader was never there to see it in person in the movie
Also decided not to tell Luke when he died
Wait their where already building yhe exegol fleet? The ships with the deaths target cannons where already being made when they where still building the death star 2? Why would you even bother with the death star at that point, thrawn was right was a waste of resources at that point
why did vader not try to tell like about exegol when he turned to the light
So basically palpatine has a contingency plan for any time Vader tries to betray the dark side or find a way to get back to the light. Correct me if I'm work not much of a comic fan.
The wayfinders piss me off to no end, they are holocrons, with holocrons exist in canon just say it’s a sigh holocron
I love how these comics are trying to explain the plot holes in Rise of Skywalker yet create more plot holes, like why didn't Anakin's force ghost warn Luke and The New Republic of Palpatine's Death Star Destroyer fleets on Exegol?
Doesn't matter whether or not Palpatine remained dead, a simple "oh by the way" would've been helpful.
This makes no sense bc it was only like 3 years after Vader tells Luke he's the father that Luke killed Vader.
How did Darth Vader find out about Exegol?
Uh... I guess... somehow!?!
How contrived and inappropriate is this garbage?
Yeah, pretty much fan fiction at this point
Remember that Disney Star Wars is not fan canon.
mini scale star destoyers??
