- Vader finishes the assassin droids trying to take his parts, which teaches us that Vader actually has obsolete droid parts to which I extensively explain the reasoning for.
Vader connects the wayfinder, then heads to Exegol...
I have made my stance and opinion very clear on these comic issues, and that does not waiver. Regardless, I shall continue the series.

@Cael Berglund it would add "some" worldbuilding. We the audience would have known that prior to Kylo, Vader had been there decades ago. It kinda is stupid but it would add something u know.

Star wars is to broad to be a movie anymore. It really needs a TV series to be done right. They can make movies based off the show for the big battles and shit but it's like making game of thrones a movie. To much content.

Because (plot twist here)... None of this ever happened. Every new development only creates more and more massive plot holes.
Vader and the Emperor are besties. Their only concern is putting down the Rebellion by any means possible. There is no Exegol or any of this rubbish. Vader has a "come to Jesus" moment at the end of ROTJ when he has to choose between his friend/mentor and his only son. Vader chooses his son and redeems himself, killing the Emperor and ending the war.
Anakin doesn't need to tell Luke anything as a ghost because the Galactic Civil War is essentially over after ROTJ. The good guys won, Palpatine is dead. The end.
Disney: Ani kinda forgot about the imperial fleet.

I think it is just that we already have Korriban, and that people don't like that it got replaced (I know korriban or Moraband is canon, but it hasn't been relevant since clone wars season 6.)
Exegol is easily my favorite addition the sequels gave to the Star Wars universe. The statues, flashes of lightning, chilling stuff!

Why could Vader not just improve his parts himself? He was apparently an expert mechanic since he was a child and has access to pretty much unlimited resources by this time

Hey, it’s possible that his original parts were so terrible that he _did_ modify them, but you can only improve on old tech so much.
In one legends issue I think there is a plot line of a plan to put vader in a new suit that was far more advanced but the idea was scrapped as Vader would probably die if he was removed from his suit for such an operation. Star Wars Theory even has a video on his channel about it.
As Nata said, he had a upgraded suit, but it wasn't ever used. Partly because it could kill vader, and partly because vader found that though his suit was bad, it caused him pain, which actually for a sith is good. Many older sith had certain massocistic things that made them stronger.

I still think the comics and their efforts into trying to explain things that should've already been explained in the sequels is a complete waste of time and lazy. But the voice acting here and your commitment to still talk about it despite every obvious gripe is commendable. I respect that SW Theory! Keep it up

@@hellothere-bx8cf Prequels were good movies on their own imo...The Clone Wars,books,comics etc. only made that era much more unique and deep. Anything related to the Sequel Trilogy is crap coz the storyline doesn't really make sense,especially whatever this Exegol stuff is....

Anakin was a "new father " who VERY recently reconnected with his son. He doesn't know how to be a father...so it's likely he was being overly protective and didn't want Luke to get killed trying to find it.
Also, Anakin cared more about his relationship with his son, and was recovering from the emotional torment of torturing a galaxy for several years. Exegol wasn't really his prime concern at that time, rekindling his relationship was.

Do people actually still believe that Filoni and Favreau will delete the sequels and create a new canon... Again? They have no reason for doing that. It would just piss off more fans. There is already too much lore about the sequels that is connected to other stuff. You can't just delete those 3 movies and that's it. Even The Mandalorian is slowly building up to the sequels. They didn't make these references for no reason in season 2. They won't delete the sequels. They will expand them and explore stuff that happened before, between and after them. It's the same thing that Filoni did with TCW and Rebels.

i think another reason for the obsolete parts is that vader's suit had to be made on a very short notice since sidious was not expecting vader to get burned on mustafar and those outdated parts were all they could actually find at that moment and more state of the art parts wouldn't have been available on such a short notice since the surgical operation had to be conducted asap
The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader was a great little novel. Got to find out what happened behind the closed doors of Leia's detention cell on the Death Star while Vader was interrogating her with the mind probe. A very good read.
Wonder why he never told his son bout Exogol? Not even mentioned the wayfinder he had at his castle? Luke was looking for it.

I think the assassin droids were talking about the battle droid limps he took as replacements, not the fact his suit was dated
In the comic: everything is told in detail.
In the movie: you can look at it all for just one minute or leave, quickly choose in 10 seconds it will all be destroyed in the easiest way...
I think that Vaders mechanical parts are not quite as obsolete as you are suggesting. They are standard because Vader wants them that way to remain as human as possible. General Grievous chose to replace his entire body with droids parts as improvements while Vader never chose and only uses them for necessity. Personally I believe that Vader keeps his cybernetics in the best shape so that he can be as close as he was before his mutilation.

Or even better Cybernetics, since Grievous' probably weren't the best anymore either.

Well, technically, Palpatine didn't really give Vader very outdated parts. This takes place between ESB and ROTJ, which is roughly 24-25 years or so after ROTS when Vader first got his suit. At the time he got his suit, the parts were only a few years out dated-not even a decad. Of course Palpatine didn't give him top of the line gear...he just failed him and hadn't earned top of the line, but he still gave him decent parts. At the time of this comic, yeah, they are way out of date being thirty years out of date, and it is strange that Vader never upgraded the suit before then, but when he got the suit, it wasn't really that out of date and definitely not pre-Grievous unless Grievous was created just a few years before ROTS. Hell, Vader's suit may actually be around the same age as grievous' cybernetics, maybe newer. My car is about a decade old, but looking at it and seeing how it runs you wouldn't think it was a decade old. I look at Vader's suit the same way. It may not be that year's model, but it's still fuckin' awesome and serves it's purpose.

I loved in Dark Lord: The Rise Of Darth Vader. The biggest insult was that Anakin's talent for engineering was useless. Vader couldn't tinker and improve himself with the giant unwieldy cyborg hands.

Ikr he's misinforming his OWN audience when he covered those comics. Pretty sure the droid was referring to the battle droid parts Vader was using in this comic.
His suit being uncomfortable and causing him pain allows him to use that pain to use the dark side, he didn't want to make it more comfortable because he wanted to be able to use the pain.
Similar to how Maul was basically an animal before his brother found him, even before being cut in half, he used his anger to fuel his power, then when obi wan cut him in half, the pain allowed him to stay alive until he was found.

Well Vader was able to lift his arms above his head in rogue one and in fallen order. Just strong and overpowering blows... and I think that the only reason the droid said that the piece was worth nothing was because it was from the scrap Vader used to “rebuild” himself

It’s stupid that they brought back palapatine cuz the whole story was about Anakin destroying the sith that’s why the sequels are not as good so it would of been cool if Luke went to exemplify and destroyed it so then Vader destroyed the sith but Luke had a larger part to play at well in destroying the sith
@@Live-wf2dh Palpatine returned more than once in Legends and nobody panics, nobody cares. But when Palpatine returned only once in TROS, well then everybody loses their minds. Plus it was actually Anakin's story in the prequels while it was Luke's story in the original trilogy.

Well, the reason those specific, old parts were attached to Vader can actually be found in older issues from this same timeline...where the emperor started sending him off to relearn (learn) what it TRULY is to be a Sith. But I guess you were talking about some of the more philosophical reasons behind why the emperor had Vader in archaic tech.

Matt Martin is doing an AMAZING job with connecting all the lore. I like the idea that Vader visits Exegol, and learns of a contingency plan that the Emperor had (just as he did in Legends) because it reminds me of how we get hints of Anakin's dark side in The Clone Wars, and how the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise hints at how Palpatine cheated death as a homage to the Dark Empire comics where Palpatine survived. Palpatine was at true Legends style unlimited power so it's awesome to see everything Palpatine implemented in its origins.

I think those bounty hunter droids are cool considering they are a mix match of parts from both separatist droids and imperial droids with some third-party droids mixed in there.

Please do a video about what if Alderaan was never obliterated. What if Obi Wan and Luke made it to Alderaan. What if Obi Wan had trained Luke on Alderaan and what that might have looked like.

At first, I thought the Droid grabbed one of the shitty parts Vader grabbed when his own parts burned. But you're right, it was one of the parts of the proper suit leg.
I wonder if Vader would have ever grown the courage to betray the Emperor on his own. He clearly didn't entirely trust him and wanted to pry into his affairs. If only he had known this so many years ago, when he made the mistake of trusting him.
The previous Vader storyline (also canon from Marvel) revealed that Vader was indeed stockpiling resources and planning to eventually attempt to take over.
Well, i know that would be not acceptable to anyone in StarWars canon and beyond it - but i wan`t to witness new alternate story of whole StarWars - rewritten, almost the same but for example - Vader is turned to light side, or maybe to something in the middle, he would be neither good nor bad, his body rebuild properly with newest hi-tech gizmos and stuff. Luke and Leia - both trained by that "new" Vader/Anakin figure (who could accept both of his sides and by merging them together - create something new? better? more powerful than anyone before?). All this like alternative universe story. And - JarJar as main bad character - evil beyond evil, master of Palps etc :D

Last I checked Luke and Leia were only 23 years old in return of the Jedi so the technology for Darth Vader's suit must have been 7 years old when he received it in Revenge of The Sith.

I know many aren't fans of the sequel stuff being included since it's an obvious ploy to fix stuff using a beloved character, I've loved this arc and the creepy horror atmosphere it has. All of the Vader comics have done a great job bridging Anakin and Vader as the same person.

Vader knowing about Exogal is another one of the many plot holes in the Disney Trilogy that makes no sense. Surely Anakin would have told look about something that important...

May I ask you to consider taking a look at the work of Darth Varkor who is making a Revan KOTOR fan film series and its story and acting is fantastic. I thought you'd appreciate the effort of a fellow fan. Otherwise thanks for doing this for us fans once more.
If Palpatine gave Vader the perfect tech and suit from the start then Vader wouldn't have become as strong in the dark side as he did because of the lack of torture and pain to draw power from. But if Vader survived after he killed the Emperor and changed his suit at that point in his life then his power could've become extremely more powerful due to the years of torture making him stronger in the dark side and now there would be nothing holding him back in his new suit mixed with the strength of his power.
Like possibly being able to lift his arms over his head again 🤔

Question I’ve always wondered. Why didn’t Vader “upgrade” his suit more after what palps did? Like it wouldn’t be hard to conceal the cybernetics the way he wears his dark black suit over everything. One thing that never made sense to me. Especially considering anakin/Vader is so proficient with cybernetic tech etc.
Obv for plot sake he couldn’t but he could’ve easily made a grounding rod or something to aid him with electrical attacks etc.
Not to mention better arms and legs.. like he could just act like his normal old Vader body but secretly be upgraded to be better
The reason is this is all just filler. Lucas made 3 movies with a simple plot.Now Disney wants to stretch the story to make money. When Lucas was in charge nothing was wrong with Vader's suit.

So my point is why didn’t he upgrade it beyond what palps “allowed” so that he could beat him. He was always “searching” for a mean via the force but enhancing his body would also benefit him since his cybernetics were old when he was put together as Darth Vader
@@ReptilesXtremeGaming Once again there was nothing wrong with the suit when Lucas was in charge. Go rewatch empire strikes back. The suit could repel blaster fire. Luke couldn't cut through the suit with his lightsaber. In Return of the Jedi Vader killed the Emperor because the suit gave him superhuman strength.

Yah his suit was tough and could repel blaster fire etc. But there are multiple instances where he lost limbs, was crushed and mutilated etc. But pushed through the despite Palpatine purposely giving him an inferior suit to keep Vader’s power level below his and as a punishment.
Vader was just so badass an OP that despite these defects he pushed passed them to save Luke and kill Palpatine. But the lightinging (force) is like super effective against his suit. Hence why he died.. taking off his mask accelerated that process.
George Lucas continually updates his opinions on how things are in Star Wars. Certain plot points or character characteristics. Even post the movies coming out lol. He’s retconned a lot too FYI
