This story is garbage. It reeks of amateur video-game logic. So Tohms killed a bunch of criminals, and he gets "promotions" ... to a GODDAMN ADMIRAL, like its a video game? Do they have a goddamn clue how much responsibility an admiral has to deal with? What Tohm did had nothing to do with commanding tons of massive ships, how does that qualify him suddenly? In reality, officers don't get promoted in a military until having a minimal years in active command duty, and even then, only a select few get promoted further up. Also, only amateurs think being "unpredictable" is any better than having the weight of sheer numbers in a fight. Even Napoleon's key to success was logistics and cleverly always making sure he fought with a numerical advantage. Criminals who only know how to be good in a scrappy chaotic mess of a melee, can never win against hordes of gunmen, especially when they have no battleplan or even train together to even know who has who covered with what ability. It's the same reason why Spartans died out in history, when advances in tactics and teamwork in battlefields eventually outperformed individual martial prowess of each Spartan. Ruthlessness is the worst characteristic for a soldier. Soldiers must be efficient, know when and where to strike, and when and where not to lest they waste crucial time in combat situations. It's why criminals don't ever do well in armies and there is a reason why armies don't recruit them (Except Soviet Union, but they were really small in number and used for very expendable roles like clearing minefields and manning dangerous gunner positions). They never follow orders and run away at the first sight of danger, because they are selfish and are never a team player. No one trusts them and they, being antisocial, never trust anyone. Bottomline is, all that blabbering about Vader and Tohm's forces having unpredictable ruthless gritty fighters and cyborgs with targeting computers (what's the use of this when the cadets are pouring down 8 times as much firepower... out in the open too with no cover at all?) is nothing compared to sheer numbers. Tohm's side only won cuz of Vader.

The emperor sees to that and is smart in who he places into command. In addition, this wasn't just any mission. This involved the emperor almost dying, a possible end to the empire as they knew it.

Iirc, in the early stages of the Empire, pre Galactic Civil War, Vader did TRY to kill Palpatine but failed and was punished severely everytime for each failure. Maybe... he is just scared that his master is just feigning weakness to test him and should Vader fail said "Test" he could be put in more pain than he could ever imagine. Great story! I really wish that a trilogy could be made of the time between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Showing how Vader killed the survivors of Order 66 and how he came to be such a powerful Sith. I think that would be a great trilogy as long as Rian Johnson doesn’t have anything to do with it.
That part about Luke saying the Jedi needed to end, it was actually just the writers telling you that since they can't measure up to the original trilogy.

Wow...that was a dark series indeed...but surprisingly I kind of want to read the series of the Ghost Prison. Maybe because I'm a Darth Vader fan perhaps, or just because I like Star Wars so much. Really enjoyed this clip Star Wars Theory.
Your unbelievable understanding of how and when to use sound effects, which ones to use, how to edit them, and how to sync them with the visuals REALLY breathes life and depth into explaining the events of a comic without directly reading it word for word! The fact that this covers lore not covered in the mainstream movies and TV shows for a series whose universe is so deeply well known and has a million questions about makes these videos absolute gems as well. And your intro is so short, crisp, deep, and welcoming all at the same time, it's perfect! It invites you into what feels like an exclusive locked room full of dark secrets. It sets a great tone without taking forever or beating you over the head with a custom AMV or hardcore corperate and/or personal branding. And the content is always direct and on topic and informative as hell. This channel is INCREDIBLE.

The problem i see with "Palpi" is that he was not created as a great / powerful / almighty character, but he rather just had pilled upon him power over power in order to make him overpowered just so that it could be justified how he raised to power and how he maintained power for all those years since he was the "final boss" of the original trilogy...
You easily deserve a million subscribers. Life's stressful. I juggle school, work, girlfriend, and the gym. But I can always pull up these videos and enjoy learning about a universe that I love without investing hours into books and comics. I would like to at some point, but the point here is that these videos always help to make at least 5-15 minutes of my day more enjoyable. Keep up the good work man
I'd like to think there are several reasons: 1.)There was still much to learn from Palp 2.)He was taught to place Empire's needs above all else 3.)Killing his master when he is at his peak is a sith way, where they prove to their master, and themselves, that they are a worthy successor.

Or how Plagueis killed his master while he was unable to defend himself? Let's not pretend they all dueled their master to the death and each knew what was coming. The sith don't typically follow an honor system. Many are opportunistic and seize their moments when they arise. The only reason I can think of for Vader not killing Palps in this comic is that he still believed he could learn the secret to immortality from him. Though, I confess I don't know nearly as much about legends as other folks.
He'd be a fairly lacklustre sith lord, Obi Wan's power came from having such a strong connection and devotion to the light side of the force, take that away and he's just a really good defensive duellist/strategist, neither which skill-sets lend themselves to utilising the dark side all that well.

Vader's not crazy, if anything, he's pretty analytical, there are reasons behind his actions. He probably sensed that Tohm is force sensitive, if Tohm were to receive proper sith training from palpatine, Tohm could unseat Vader easily. Tohm is competent, cunning and smart, he would be a more successful sith lord than Vader. Vader foresaw that and decided to act swiftly.

Because Vader was weak like that, he never really fully embraced the Dark side 100% and always doubted himself against his master, a fatal flaw. Most Sith surpass their masters, eventually kill them and carry on the Sith legacy (rule of two). Sidious knew this too, which was why he thought he’d live forever, that is until Luke came into the picture.
Vader was not ready to rule. I dont think he had any interest in doing so. After Padme died Anakin died with her. And we are left with Darth Vader. A fragment of his true potential. Dissapointing because he was the chosen one. And because of his special abilities granted to him by BEING the chosen one explains how Vader can be so weak. . . . Yet still so powerful.

This comic would make an amazing video game or mini- movie.
Your unbelievable understanding of how and when to use sound effects, which ones to use, how to edit them, and how to sync them with the visuals REALLY breathes life and depth into explaining the events of a comic without directly reading it word for word! The fact that this covers lore not covered in the mainstream movies and TV shows for a series whose universe is so deeply well known and has a million questions about makes these videos absolute gems as well. And your intro is so short, crisp, deep, and welcoming all at the same time, it's perfect! It invites you into what feels like an exclusive locked room full of dark secrets. It sets a great tone without taking forever or beating you over the head with a custom AMV or hardcore corperate and/or personal branding.

The problem i see with "Palpi" is that he was not created as a great / powerful / almighty character, but he rather just had pilled upon him power over power in order to make him overpowered just so that it could be justified how he raised to power and how he maintained power for all those years since he was the "final boss" of the original trilogy...

You easily deserve a million subscribers. Life's stressful. I juggle school, work, girlfriend, and the gym. But I can always pull up these videos and enjoy learning about a universe that I love without investing hours into books and comics. I would like to at some point, but the point here is that these videos always help to make at least 5-15 minutes of my day more enjoyable. Keep up the good work man

I'd like to think there are several reasons:
1.)There was still much to learn from Palp
2.)He was taught to place Empire's needs above all else
3.)Killing his master when he is at his peak is a sith way, where they prove to their master, and themselves, that they are a worthy successor.

Or how Plagueis killed his master while he was unable to defend himself? Let's not pretend they all dueled their master to the death and each knew what was coming. The sith don't typically follow an honor system. Many are opportunistic and seize their moments when they arise. The only reason I can think of for Vader not killing Palps in this comic is that he still believed he could learn the secret to immortality from him. Though, I confess I don't know nearly as much about legends as other folks.

He'd be a fairly lacklustre sith lord, Obi Wan's power came from having such a strong connection and devotion to the light side of the force, take that away and he's just a really good defensive duellist/strategist, neither which skill-sets lend themselves to utilising the dark side all that well.
That sound of the explosion with the word in the comic "KAABOOOM!" just sells that scene perfect, I haven't read this comic but I hope to get it.

Vader's not crazy, if anything, he's pretty analytical, there are reasons behind his actions. He probably sensed that Tohm is force sensitive, if Tohm were to receive proper sith training from palpatine, Tohm could unseat Vader easily. Tohm is competent, cunning and smart, he would be a more successful sith lord than Vader. Vader foresaw that and decided to act swiftly.

I just don't understand why Vader didn't kill the emperor while he was vulnerable!
Because Vader was weak like that, he never really fully embraced the Dark side 100% and always doubted himself against his master, a fatal flaw. Most Sith surpass their masters, eventually kill them and carry on the Sith legacy (rule of two). Sidious knew this too, which was why he thought he’d live forever, that is until Luke came into the picture.
He didn't want to at that point.
Because this is not the EU and the show is being run on the idea of a dumb vader
because Vader was Palpy little S&M slave, he couldnt possibly kill his master.
Vader was not ready to rule. I dont think he had any interest in doing so. After Padme died Anakin died with her. And we are left with Darth Vader. A fragment of his true potential. Dissapointing because he was the chosen one. And because of his special abilities granted to him by BEING the chosen one explains how Vader can be so weak. . . . Yet still so powerful.

He was naive back then, and i'm guessing his visions are clearer now. Also i'm sure Vader was still in shock about knowing he had children from the woman he pretty much obsessively worshiped, so he didn't outright just kill him.
