For sure, that was still far from the "return to the Light" thing, but we already had been given some hints...And I think that the reason for this turn was her passing the ritual of becoming a Nightsister right after she was betrayed by Dooku. I always love to hear more about them and glean any more insight into the story as a whole . So thanks SWT! I hope we get some more in cannon lore about these 2 in the future! 🤓🤓🤓
I think the Dark Disciple story was one of the arcs among the still unfinished Clone Wars episodes (after CW season 7) which, as far as I know, were cancelled in 2014 by Disney taking over Star Wars. I would love to see this (and the other arcs) on screen one day.
I swear every time I start to get a little bit bored bc of the new stuff I watch one of your videos and it gets me so excited again for the future Star Wars could have
Kind of miss Komari Vossa... Yeah, she was a one-off bad guy, but the fangirl with an unhealthy obsession with her Jedi Master Dooku that created resentment within her that sent her to the Dark Side, it was an interesting story. Add to that, the contest to see who could be strong enough to eliminate her saw Jango Fett victorious and gave Dooku a template for the clone army and Boba Fett. Frankly, I thought it was a better backstory.
When I found out about Asajj's death it hit me a lot harder than I thought it would. I was really hoping she had ended up escaping it all and living a life of what could be considered peaceful for her. It's funny because I never use to care TOO much about her, I just kind of followed her as a character because she was there. It's a strange feeling, realizing her story just . . . ends. She deserved better.
Same here. I had no feelings for her, either way, throughout the entirety of TCW. Then I read "Dark Disciple" several years ago, and it floored me. Writers love to do that: make you care about someone, then kill them.
Asajj is my favourite clone wars charcater. I see that other people greave that she never got peace that she wanted, however suffering is what makes her character so good. She is strong and after all that she has been through she remains strong and loyal to herself in the end and finds love, the feeling oposite to the dark side that she came from. This whole story and video are really good and I don't mind seeing a bit longer video when it covers the lore so interesting.
First i really wasnt a fan of ventress but now my love for her has grown. Shes path away from the darkside, not to the light but to just being herself has been really cool

That was really good & a book I've had on my wish list for some time now. I would love to see this play out in The Clone Wars upcoming seasons. Thanks for bringing this to life.
Wouldn't it be the best thing ever if they turned this book into an arc in the new Clone Wars season? I'd love to see Ventress's story come to an end on the screen. They could even make a live action movie out of it, or at least an animation film... That would be some of the best Star Wars content ever and tie up tons of loose ends for people who haven't read the book.
Theory idea: (idk if you’ve covered this before) What if Palpatine and Anakin left Kenobi to die after the Episode III fight with Dooku? What would the aftermath be like?
Hmm Mace gets sent to kill Grievous does so everything plays out the same way except Anakin doesn't fight Obi-wan and keeps his full potential which would actually be worse for the Jedi who survived Order 66
Bane and Sidious really were the only ones who understood the Rule Of Two. Vadar, Dooku, virtually all other Sith; they all say "Let's take our master down together", thereby replacing one string Sith with two weaker ones. Which is exactly what Bane was trying to remove from the Sith when he annihilated the Sith Order. He only succeeded with Palpatine....
10:30 to 11:12 Ventress Low key went full Doctor Strange in Infinity War. To be completely honest I have been waiting a long time to see the Ventress part of the book, and I must say it's one of my favorite videos on this channel. I loved it and would love to see more about Ventress.

Dark Disciple is my favorite Star Wars novel/book. It bares the souls of both characters and shows us the complexities of love and sacrifice. Thank you for presenting this!
From reading the actual Dark Disciple book (which is now one of my favourite SW stories), I really wish the whole think could be done and seen on screen along with Son of Dathomir
4:32 I wouldn't say that we see little of his powers in movies, in Episode 2 he mopped the floor with Padawan Anakin Skywalker who was alredy better than most average Jedi Knights and Obi-Wan Kenobi who got a lot stronger than he was in Episode 1 at the same time, then he went toe to toe with Yoda who is pretty much #1 Jedi during the Clone Wars, more or less equal to his master Darth Sidious. And in Episode 3 he easily defeats Obi-Wan who got so strong that Mace Windu called him The Master of Soresu (the best Soresu practicioner ever) and was propably the only Jedi who could defeat Grievous so easily. And while he lost to Anakin, he's still one of the strongest characters in his time period, besides Anakin in his prime was pretty much the best duelist in The Jedi Order along with Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda and had insane amount of raw Force Power (altough he wasn't that good at using it to max potential it still showed when he was enraged).

This is a cool enough story to make a full CF movie about. Live action wouldn’t work as Christopher can’t be replaced. But a high quality CG would be awesome.
More and more frequently I find myself bored with the whole flippy-floppy from the Light side to the Dark side and vice versa. I’m far more interested in people who find themselves somewhere within the Gray between the two, who ally themselves with either the Republic/Rebellion or the Separatists/Empire to varying degrees due to a mixture of their own sense of morality and personal, individual reasons. The stark dichotomy between Light/Dark or Good/Evil feels so stale and overdone. There are more than two opposing sides to take, and more than two opposing paths to follow in life-and in the Force.

Robert Fousch Oops! Sorry! You are correct, I just follow Miss Sinister and was directed here by her
@@robertfousch2703 You're right. She does do a Ventress cosplay that looks similar, but this is her original design, not Ventress.
Loved this episode!
Quinlan Vos & Ventress's story is really interesting to hear about both of their struggles between the light and the dark sides, its sad & beautiful story too.
I swear every time I start to get a little bit bored bc of the new stuff I watch one of your videos and it gets me so excited again for the future Star Wars could have
I love how they made Ventress’s character. Finally, we get to see it.
This is incredible. I love Asajj and Voss so much more now. I'd love to see this made into a film!!
I really hope we get this story animated for the final season of the Clone Wars, it's something I really wanna see
Ah Quin one of my favorite underrated Jedi's and Dooku assassin great video as always⚡👊👍
Maybe Quinlan will make an appearance in the upcoming Obi-Wan series?
I kind of hope we get to see that one Tuskan Raider Jedi.
This was an amazing book. Well worth the read. quinlin has always been my favorite Jedi. I hope he returns.
This was one of my favorite stories in the S.W. universe. Great book also. Hope they bring back Vos in something. (comic, show, etc.)
Dammit I always liked Asajj and Quinlan, it is so sad, that they didn't get to be a couple
Man, I can listen to you narrate these books for a lot longer than 15 minutes. You got a real talent for vocal intonation.
wowww
that was a good story
can't wait to hear more about this jedi
First i really wasnt a fan of ventress but now my love for her has grown. Shes path away from the darkside, not to the light but to just being herself has been really cool
New Theory: "What if Snoke didn't pop up at the end of every Star Wars theory?"
"What if snoke was actually cool"
I go back and listen to this every so often love the story and your telling of it thanks man can't wait for shards part due
I didn't even realize that this was made today, I was just watching a bunch of SWT's videos and came across it. Just found out after I finnished watching xp
Ok...?
I love the content of your channel, and I never get tired of learning about Count Dooku.
I wish that Asajj Ventress still lived to this day like Ashoka Tano. Or even Barris Offee.
Groudon The expander of the Landmass Barris survived order 66?
@@333_studios I believe it's not canon that she died with Luminara. Idk actually
That was really good & a book I've had on my wish list for some time now. I would love to see this play out in The Clone Wars upcoming seasons. Thanks for bringing this to life.
Finally, a female Star Wars character besides Leia and Ahsoka that was strong, brave, and well-developed/well-written. Not a Ma-Rey-Sue!!!!!!
Bruh, Kotor 1 and 2????
Bastila, Handmaiden, Mira, Kreia? Four right there.
Right!
That pic of you building the light saber in the begging of your videos is awesome!
This deserves a movie like Rogue One.
“So, she has given you a taste of the dark side, and other things I gather, too.”
Nice.
Vos's lightsaber reminds me of Qui Gon Jinn's....
Asajj Ventress is both the femme fatale of the Star Wars Galaxy and also the complete opposite. Awesome and captivating video👏🏼
Yes, please! This would be an amazing arc in TCW and could bring forth some really cool figures.
0:29 you should add “leave a like” or something right here
Ventress is my all time favourite character, thank you for this material
Palpatine:sees Quinlan and ventress together
Also palpatine: and now you have taken this too far buddy
10:30 to 11:12 Ventress Low key went full Doctor Strange in Infinity War. To be completely honest I have been waiting a long time to see the Ventress part of the book, and I must say it's one of my favorite videos on this channel. I loved it and would love to see more about Ventress.
Petition to have a second clone wars movie on this book.
We just need a movie, or TV show about The Old Republic.
Stuff like
Darth Revan
Darth Bane
Darth Plagueis
Bastila Shan
Darth Nihilus
Darth Malgus
Kreia
Darth Malak
Carth Onasi
Canderous Ordo
etc
@@LND209 lame. Rather have Dark Disciple or Darth Plagueis over that
@@theantone7476 I said Darth Plagueis
Super late to the game, but I love these videos. Would be awesome if you had references to the novels/graphic novels, etc. in the notes section, for those who may wish to dive in and read as well! Great work!
What an amazing story! This would have been a great movie
Dark Disciple was great. It really did have that Clone Wars feel. Which doesn't surprise me considering it was planned as an arc for the show.
00:13 this is when someone got mad at him for putting a picture in his video that is free to use.
Thanks for the refresher! I wasn't even thinking about this book but I hope they do an arc on it!
Love this video so much! Made my day and gave me chills listening I really enjoyed this one Starwars theory thank you!
One of my favorite books I really wish this would have made the cut for the show
I'm actually planning to make Dark disciple into a fan film.
I loved Assaj so damn much. One very relatable character when it comes to mannerisms
4:16 wtf happend to dooku's eyes?!
GhostKing He was drunk
It’s the legendary form 9! Now is your chance Dooku, show us your power!
Sure love a good star wars fanfiction in the morning
“So she has given you a taste for the dark side... and perhaps other things as well.” >;) heh dirty old man.
"Q: What do you think of the *Expanded Universe of books?*
A: *"The books are in a different universe.* I've not read any of them, and I told them when they started writing I wouldn't read any of them and I blocked out certain periods [they couldn't touch where the real story happens]."
~ George Lucas 2003
Jinn is such an interesting character. I like that he was a master jedi but not on the council. Are there any Novels/story in cannon or legends about Qui-Gin Jinn that I don't know about?? Would love to come across one.✌
This wouldve been an amazing story arc for the clone wars
Bjornarmar what are your favorite Star Wars channels?
So, Hondo?
Matt Martin [Lucasfilm Story Group] 2018 - *" In Star Wars terms, Dark and Light are pretty clear cut and it's safe to say Ahsoka is Light."*
Yes we need to see quinlin voss again in Season 7 Clone Wars.
Unfortunately though we don't.
@@GENGHISKHAN-hk3qs we need to see what happens to her, because some people don't read the books.
Wow you narrated this perfectly. I soo wish this was in the final season of clone wars. That would have been amazing
