Does Luke Skywalker hate sand like his father Anakin That's the video I really want to be covered tomorrow And Theory love you bro
How the clones reacted to Order 66
Legend Luke skywalker after episode 6 (the books)
Palpatine tells everyone the Jedi came to kill him - yet how does he explain how he survived?
@@kitkatdealer827 Oh snap, I like that idea. Clone PTSD from killing the Jedi they just fought side by side in a war with?
I think seeing a "funeral" for Anakin Skywalker would have been a cool and haunting thing to see in Episode 3. To see Vader looking on as people mourned and talked about Anakin would have been great.
Brooooo now I'm mad it didn't happen😂😂
@@ezekielsparadise4633 haha right?! To me Lucas focused waaay too much on Anakin and Padme's relationship and Anakin's relationship with Ob-Wan and Anakin's relationship with Palpatine and not enough on Anakin as a singular character/Jedi. We never saw how "powerful" he supposedly was, we never saw the great warrior or general he supposedly was.
@Andrew Vasquez exactly. We need an R rated Vader series starting shortly after order 66 and write many flashbacks to add to Anakins story as "new" Canon and show just how powerful Anakin really was. The flashbacks would be consistent throughout season 1 to help people see Anakin and Vader as 1 guy because sometimes for many people it's hard to make the connection. But we would see Good guy Anakin with his same problems, but kinda build the bridge between Anakin and Vader. Vader should give the same energy as Homelander but with way less jokes of course. People fear Vader for a reason. In fact, Vader kills WAAAAY more people than Homelander. That's scary. Vaders presence should be absolutely terrifying.
Nobody would mourn or even have a funeral for anakin bro slaughtered children in 4K 😭
@@Quet723 Have you watched the video that this comment is about
In the eyes of empire officials, Luke was in the same room as the emperor and Darth Vader and was the only one who walked out. Explains why Moff Gideon was scared shitless at the end of the mandalorian
If those officials weren't blind, they would see that Luke was carrying Vader on his shoulder, essentially. But maybe people just overlooked that detail because they were trying to escape the second Death Star before it could explode again.
@@Boomblox5896 well, yeah they were trying to escape
I see this same type of comment all the damn time
Who was he carrying again?
I thought it was his father tbh that’s how I looked at it when I was 8 watching it at the theatre
@@Boomblox5896 So... in other words, the simple line of thought for bullies to come up with: Luke went in, merced the emperor, then dragged the corpse of his chief enforcer out of an exploding base.
I've read this book. And others, like Lords of the Sith. Palpatine was trying to figure out if Vader was going to establish himself as a real force in the Empire or if he was just going to be another Maul, and assassin-type. At one point Vader asked Palpatine to announce to his command structure that Vader was the emperor's right hand man and spoke with the emperor's voice, because the admirals and generals just weren't giving him the kind of respect he needed, and he couldn't kill his way through them in order to gain that respect.
Palpatine didn't just send Vader after the surviving Jedi, he also put Vader through multiple legitimately life-threatening tests to force him to sink COMPLETELY into the dark side, to break down everything he was holding onto from his previous life. These tests forced him to do things like slaughter unarmed civilians, including women and children. Palpatine succeeded in developing a level of hatred in Vader that drove him fully to the dark side.
When Vader fought Darth Maul (yes, he fought Maul, as Theory covered in one of his videos), Maul taunted him, telling him there was no way he could be as powerful as Maul because as a former Jedi he couldn't HATE enough to match Maul's fury in the dark side. When Vader finally killed Maul by shoving his lightsaber through his OWN BODY to stab them both, Maul asked him who he could possibly hate enough that he could kill Maul? Vader said "myself."
His cybernetics being old and beat up really gives the expression of him being an undead wraith in broken armour.
Vader was feared while Anakin was respected. What a tough fall for the young Jedi 😢
Litterally no one respected Anakin. That was kind of his isdue with the Jedi and people.
@@mrbubbles6468 You’re both right, Anakin was respected amoung the general public across the galaxy & amoung the clones as a brave hearted war hero with no fear. But amoung the Jedi council and order he wasn’t respected and treated like an outsider a lot

It really was. Revenge of the sith game and bf2 came out in 2005

2005 really was a great year!
I actually love how he’s depicted through regular peoples eyes. It feels so unnatural and terrifying. “There’s a person with a lightsaber. He is definitely NOT a Jedi.”
In a weird way, I think an interesting way to portray him through the common eye is through like a police radio/ 911 operator calls. Scuffed radio voices, static, but all terror. Idk if it’s just me, but those old police scanner calls and operator calls can be super terrifying, and I think maybe doing that in a way would make Vader even more horrifying.
I'd like to think that Palpatine choice of cybernetics wasn't just to punish him, but to further limit him. If Anakin has to draw on the darkside to simply control the suit, he would be way too distracted to fully use any power he had against Palpatine in any effort to overthrow him.
If Anakin fell to vaders troops while he defended the younglins, what is the Galaxy 's take on the guy killing the guy who was protecting kids. And whats their take on the guy who ordered those troopers to attack and kill those kids. Just seems like there should have been more said about this. I keep hearing people say that Anakin was seen as a hero, but he was a Jedi defending Jedi in this story. Somebody is the bad guy and I would love to see how that got handled
Actually, we did see a sith bounty hunter in Asajj Ventress in season 4 or 5 I think. Yes, she never became a sith lord, but she was a sith assassin nevertheless and a dark side user
If we want to go down that road, that makes Maul a Mandalorian.
I don't think Asajj was considered a sith she had a position but it wasn't sith
Stupidest thing I've ever seen, so wrong
VADER should have his own TV series, from order 66 to finding OBI-WAN 10x years later, Can you imagine the storyline
Mostly everyone: “a Darth who? Darth Wader? What’s that?”
Dark Vader?

Used to be. Now he gets almost beaten every other week
I would love to see a live action story of this. Vader wasn't well known after Revenge of the Sith, he just kind of showed up from most people's perspectives. He was new and I'm sure developed the fear others had of him through his actions.
I always thought that Palps gave Vader outdated tech not just to punish him but to also hinder his ability to overthrow Palps one day

Rise Of Darth Vader was basically the movie or series I wanted to see since even before Disney bought the franchise. Had they been smart enough to, right off the bat before any other movie, adapt the novel into a movie/show, and managed to not screw it up, I probably would still consider myself a Star Wars fan today no matter how bad subsequent content got. I was not a difficult SW fan to please. Lots of Vader/Sith/dark side/Empire stuff and no woke agenda, and they would have had me hooked.
Honestly, Rise Of Darth Vader was what I was hoping for in ROTS. Attack of the Clones would have been a way better Episode 1, Revenge of the Sith would have made a way better episode 2, and Rise Of Darth Vader, or something similar in that same time period, would have been a truly epic episode 3. Also, if George Lucas did it like that, then released Phantom Menace after the fact as a stand alone film marketed particularly for kids, I bet Phantom Menace would have been FAR more well received.
There’s actually a mini trilogy of novels, Labyrinth of Evil, Revenge of the Sith, and Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader that would have made an awesome trilogy of films. But The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones are both important to the story in their own right.
@@Rikrik1138 I'm aware. Just saying, the time period right after Revenge of the Sith where Vader is full on Vader in the suit and not emo Ani after he didn't get his Snickers bar, and first days of the empire is really what would have been a great episode 3. I was very disappointed when it came out because we didn't get Vader in the suit until the very end, and didn't even get to see him in any action. I loved the movie, but not enough Vader and early Empire days.
But yeah, I agree TPM and AOTC are important to the story, that's why I specified TPM still being made, but as a Stand alone prequel to the prequel movies, and moving ROTS and AOTC back one film in the trilogy to make room for Rise of Darth Vader as episode 3. All the current prequels would still exist, just released in a different order and a new film added to the mix. Attack of the Clones would have been a far stronger return for Star Wars than Phantom Menace. It honestly doesn't feel like a middle chapter, it feels like an opening chapter since there is such a long time gap between it and phantom menace. Revenge of the Sith would have been a great, dark middle chapter, and Rise of Darth Vader, we get Vader in all his glory mowing down Jedi scum! All the crap George Lucas got, I bet it never would have happened if he did this instead, then again, hindsight is 20/20, but then again, George Lucas may have been purposely defying expectations because I am quite sure I am not the only one who was expecting to see a full on Vader return with modern special effects and ended up disappointed. Maybe George Lucas was butthurt about TPM backlash and he was like "Screw them bastards! I'll show them! I wont have Anakin get burned until the end of the last movie". Watch, in an alternate reality, fans loved Jar Jar and as a result, Lucas didn't get pissed, and had Anakin go to the dark side way earlier in the trilogy.
Phantom menace is good. You only think it's bad cuz you think you know the story better than Lucas does.
Boooo, who do you think you are. What revolutionary movie franchise did you make, that I can claim in a comment section that I could of done a better job at?
@@parithian8462 I unapologetically love The Phantom Menace.
Interestingly enough, i read the book shadows of the empire. There was a scene where vader was bathing and while he would bath he would often try and use the force to heal his scared lungs. The more he did it, he found himself slipping and letting go of his hate. More interesting, whenever he thought about luke and their duel, he reflected on it with pride and joy. Each time he thought of luke and knowing he had a son he began to heal and his rage would diminish.
I have a nice Vader outfit, I've trained with a bokken and have cut with a katana. It's true, one is limited to some movement. First I learned this was when I put on the costume. Was an interesting experience to say the least. Great vid!! 😃
Dark Lord Rise of Lord Vader 🌋🤘 Love it
DARK LORD: THE RISE OF DARTH VADER remains my all-time favorite STAR WARS novel and audiobook.
JEDI TRIAL is my second favorite STAR WARS novel and audiobook.
What makes DARK LORD: THE RISE OF DARTH VADER so damn good is that the novel gets into the mind of Anakin Skywalker as Darth Vader soon after REVENGE OF THE SITH and how he regained his confidence as a Force user, and by extension, his command of The Force. He literally goes through the 5 stages of grief in this novel too. Anakin comes to terms with what he had done and cast away his own name to become Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith.
And I don't care what Disney Lucasfilm says, this novel will always be canon in my eyes. They have shown that they are not worthy of being the stewards of STAR WARS or INDIANA JONES.
Can you talk about the lightsaber form Takata? Why the sith saw it as a sign of weakness and the Jedi thought of it as unsportsmanlike
Anakin was respected across the entire Galaxy for his heroism while Darth Vader was feared, but hey, at least he built a name for himself… I guess… 😬😬😬
I miss the old star wars theory videos it felt more star wars! 😢
When I first saw Revenge of the Sith I had thought Anakin killing the younglings was due to him embracing the dark nature along side taking out the Separatist leadership in Mustafar. Now knowing what I know about the lore he didn’t kill the younglings with hate, but he thought it was a mercy killing. To stop these children from adopting the dogma of the Jedi and to set them free from bondage which is why we didn’t see his Sith eyes appear while on Mustafar he did enjoy taking out the Separatist leadership. Having to fight against a waring faction of what he preserved to have been an evil group of systems and leadership, whom were technically the good guys, and having to lose so many of his allies to the CIS. So, murdering these leaders was his way of getting revenge and a trial for a Sith to be. Once someone starts to enjoy the fight, enjoy the slaughter, enjoy the revenge then their fate would be sealed. That’s why seeing his Sith eyes appear before taking out Wat Tambor was that solidification to the Dark Side. Such a downfall….
That is far worse as it 100% makes Anakin Skywalker a child murder who is completely delusional & insane.
@@AnnaBellaChannel Well you’re not wrong. It’s all truly bad from the younglings to the CIS leadership.
Nah dude I think we all can agree this is canon. Better than anything disney has done
Someone doesn't know what canon means 😂😂
I suppose the official Disney Star Wars cannon and the canon people have in their heads are two different things personally I see pretty much everything that was made in the George Lucas era as canon while the films and shows made in the Disney era as a separate timeline or legends so like obi wan said wether you see something as canon or not it all depends on you’re certain point of view either way the cannon Disney push out to be true for the product they purchased and own is the first 6 films and everything Disney made afterwards including the sequels the fact that the majority of fans hate the sequels and don’t count it as canon is irrelevant to them
I reject Disney Star wars altogether as canon.
@@Beefyboygo you can reject it all you want it’s still canon and please don’t get me wrong with the exceptions of the mandolorian, rogue one and the Jedi games I hate everything Disney has put out
@@Kash_28 it'd be one thing if they were making good products but the fact of the matter is they are not. I didn't invest hours of my life to the expanded universe only for some soulless corporate entity to tell me that none of it mattered.

-F*ck you -> something like this😂
What book is that where Luke hears the legend of the death of Anakin Skywalker?
I always loved that novel so when I found out that it wasn't canon anymore I was pretty sad
3:57 In Legends, the trend seemed to be Sith Lords using Mandos as weapons of war, instead of Mandos becoming Sith or vice versa. Perhaps the most famous example would be the Mandalorian Wars.
i enjoyed this. I like how everyone has a different idea of Who or What Vader seemingly is but select few probably figured out that Anakin is Vader
Vader casually smoking 50 Jedi is wild, I love George Lucas.
I'd be interested to know what the galaxy thought about Luke (the last Jedi) and son of Vader, immediately after Return of the Jedi Episode 6.
They didn't know he was son of Vader or Anakin Skywalker for the most part.
That's not something that comes out immediately. Luke doesn't go out of his way to hide it, but he doesn't go out of his way to broadcast it either.
@@priestesslucy3299 Why they wouldn't be able to put two and two together and at least guess that he's at the very least related Anakin is beyond me.
@@ty194because you and everyone else assumes the name Skywalker is unique. But in the universe of Star Wars it may be as common as Smith is here.
Not to dwell on negative, quite opposite actually, this and your other videos like it bring me back to the before kk and her sequels . It feels GREAT to listen to and correspond with true Star Wars fans. Deep dive, speculate, hear others ideas and opinions! Good fans ! Good Star Wars with the spirit and elements of what Star Wars really is.
They thought: “What a badass armor and mask! Darth Vader is dope!!”
I just watched a video you did a year ago when you faced Luke from the mandalorian against Anakin from revenge of the sith. You mentioned at one point the possibility of facing them in a different way. Legends prime Luke against Anakin if he had not been injured by Obi-Wan and had reached his full potential. I wonder if you could do a video like that because thise are my favorite versions of those characters and I think your input would be really awesome for this match. Really hope that video becomes a reallity at some point.
This brings up an interesting question. What IF Hugo Damask (Darth Plagueis) had NOT died in his sleep as Palpatine claimed? What if Anakin Skywalker had been able to seek him out, and convince him to either share some of his knowledge, or even convince him to take on a student? After all it is (not canon) there Plagueis had a hand in Anakin's "conception". And even told Plagueis he would act as an avenger for Palpatine poisoning him?
I think the elder Muun would have actually been delighted to teach his "creation". If he somehow knew Darth Vader would be at his side, Plagueis would have had a grand opportunity to seek revenge. And prove his life's work had borne fruit.
I just love how everyone wants to talk about Anakin! Like it truly shows how much we love him and how we want to know more about him and what sort of things could’ve happened “if” Anakin is truly in our hearts as one of the most beloved Jedi’s🫶❤️
Luceno's Star Wars work is great.
(Minor spoilers for clone wars in this comment)
To be fair we may have not seen an actual sith bounty hunter but ventress is maybe the closest thing to it at the end of the clone wars series. After she has been betrayed by dooku and the nightsister clan was decimated by greivous she fled and went on to become a blunty hunter, even joining up a group with boba and bosk at one point for a while.

6:33 I know it’s a lie in the context of the book, but Anakin could be considered the Last of the Jedi (at least the last of the old Jedi). Giving his final act to kill Palpatine and especially in Heir to the Empire when Kenobi proclaimed Luke the First of the new Jedi.

Thrawn worked with Anakin too, when Anakin was looking for Padme.
I wonder if people saw him as a death trooper prototype but for Jedi.
Very interesting to know anakin really had to become Darth Vader in more ways than just turning to the dark side.
Hey Theory what do you think of how Disney has tried to undermine Vader and the Skywalker line? I just realized today that the amount of Jedi who survived Order 66 really makes it seem as though it wasn’t as impactful as it felt when George was in control. Idk just a thought.
Man Rise Of Skywalker bringing palpatine back was a spit in the face to Return Of the Jedi! Vader became Anakin again once he killed the emperor. He brought balance to the force. But oh no wait, lets bring Palpatine back as if nothing ever happened… ugh

Expanded Universe, not "Legends." Also, I do agree this should be viewed as canon.
Those who said Lucas never accept EU as canon, so Lucas authorised this novel isn't canon?
While Thrawn knowing who Vader is is mostly because he’s the most intelligent being in the galaxy is true, it goes into more depth in the books.
Thrawn actually met Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars above the planet Batuu. There, Thrawn and Anakin tried to find and save Padmé. (And, yes, Thrawn found out about their love for each other too). But while Thrawn was working with Anakin, he studied him. (Of course he would, he’s Thrawn).
Jump forward to the time of the Empire, and Thrawn is once again serving with Anakin, but as Darth Vader this time. Throughout the time they’re serving with each other, Thrawn notices the subtle things Vader does that remind him of Anakin (like the way he flies his ship for example). Thrawn figures out Vader is Anakin fairly easily and very fast, and Thrawn even teases Vader about it too (if you haven’t read Alliances please do. It’s so funny).
But, towards the end of the book when Thrawn and Vader are talking to each other, Thrawn makes another one of his quips to Vader. Vader responds in his usual “Anakin Skywalker is dead”, but Thrawn, instead of saying his usual “So I’ve heard,” says “I know.” It’s a really sad ending to the book because it’s Thrawn accepting that Anakin is gone, and only Vader remains.
More videos of Vader😁😁😊
Thrawn knew who Vader was because he worked with Anakin in the past, during the clone wars.
