I use to drive over the Snake Pass on my way to work in Sheffield and often wondered about walks through the woods near the Snake Inn. You have rekindled my interest Mary. Thank you. Robert from Manchester
Another awesome video. Love the look of the terrain. Really make me want to get outside. Love the 'good morning'. Thank you for sharing your hikes. Blessings
Always good to see you again my dear friend and hope you are doing well, was quite an amazing trail an veiws of ur country side, I'll never be able to get to see it myself so thank you, alright be alert and stay safe 😁😉👍👌✌
Hi Mary. Did this walk end of August 2021 only to find that the return path through Ladyclough was closed. Had to walk down the A57 to get to the car. Not your fault and a terrific walk just the same. Keep up the good work
Nice video thanks for posting. Hiked that trail just over 20 years ago and it is a gem. I remember it follows an old Roman road and there are some medieval remains within the first mile or so. Greetings from Oregon.
I hope to travel to the UK and Sweden to do some hiking. I’m starting a list of places I’d like to hike, and I’m putting this one on it! Thanks for sharing with us!
Totally swiped this route from you and did it today. The path up the pass was glorious: heather was bright purple. We had a few issues getting off the road back on the footpath which resulted in scrambling over a wall and sliding down the bank. Great walk, which we thank you for. Shall check out your others x
Oh Mary it WAS a gorgeous walk perfect day for it and not so much mud that you just well kind of dread going through it but yeah it was perfect. That's one of those places where I get torn emotions part of me wants to keep going to see what else there is and then there's this part of me that just wants to spread my tarp out alongside the stream on one of those grassy slopes and just lie there and drift off into that half asleep half awake zone and listen to the water and the birds and the wind as it goes through the trees what a terrible mix of feelings 😊😂😋. Mary is any or all of that trip open to camping !???? I'm sorry Mary but I have to say it...... Mary had a little lamb, a couple actually 😁😂🤣☺️ !! LoL. Yeah, i said it, it just sorta popped in to my head !!!!! Peace and keep on rocking the free world ☺️
It was a perfect walk indeed! None of it is open to camping officially - but it is tolerated 😉 I might have to do a wild camp there soon for sure! Little lamb 😂🐑
Very good hike and video. You are doing your part to help with tourism in your area. Here in the US you could probably get a grant to continue the advertising that you are doing. Good Luck, Rick
Nice job not harassing the curlews just to get "the shot" as some will do. Couldn't make out the small print in the sign but the drawing looked like it was showing a short eared owl and a plover as other birds you can see on the moor.
Hi Mary. I've been following your hikes in the Lake District/Pennines and noticed that the landscape seems similar to the Appalachian mountains near where I live. I did a little research and it seems that long ago when there was one continent(Pangea), the Appalachian mountains and the Pennines were the same range of mountains. It might be interesting if you could double check that. If so, then hello neighbor 😃
I can see how this could be your favourite trail. A great variety of scenery. Thanks Tink!
You've never failed to brighten everyone's day with that uplifting smile, sweet British 'accent,' and gorgeous UK sceneries. Thank you Mary🥰
Enjoyed your commentary, your enthusiasm shone through. Will walk this route soon.
Nice video many thanks 🙏 xx

That was a lovely little walk. Thanks, Mary. Is it really that green in person? So nice. 🙂👍
It really was that green 😄 It was such a lovely place, so peaceful and full of variety.

In light of Mary's previous tick video I'm wondering if this hike was "ticky." I'll go out on a limb and say no.
I did check afterwards and I was tick free…but there are sheep around in the forest area so a potential risk area!
@@MarysOutdoorAdventures Yes I was thinking if you want a proper indicator of tick abundance just check a couple of those sheep!
Mary I love you....Have you been vaccinated? Hope you have; enjoy your videos.... keep walking and show is your videos
Yes I’m all vaccinated now 😄 Glad you are enjoying the videos Mike, thank you!
