Good morning Mary and Derek! Beautiful video. That is a very nice area for hiking and camping. The bumblebee in the pink flowers near the beginning is so amazing to watch. Love your visitors in the morning. Thank you for sharing. Blessings and safe hiking.
your cat is so cute victoria! great message. fill up your own cup - love that message! we all have intrinsic worth as people, and it's a shame that so many people don't realise this. basing your self-worth based upon extrinsic factors is a great way to live a emotional unstable life. keep up the good stuff :)
Thanks for showing the meals, Mary. It's always good to see what a non meat eater has to sustain energy for the hike. Sleeping without the fly would be epic. Thanks to Derek too. 👍🙂
Can't fault you there Mary, that was simply stunning. What a beautiful place to camp and you captured some gorgeous shots, particularly those when the sun was setting. Hope you both enjoyed your walk the next day. Have a great week. Cheers, Patrick 👍
Wow, how exciting to have you do overnight videos, they’re the best. The terrain is unbelievably beautiful with the amazing rock formations, the distant views and your constant companions the sheep and of course Derek 😊 I must say it’s nice to see you both without your puffies or rain gear, looks like summer has finally arrived across the pond. Love love love this video, it was easy to imagine I was there so thank you for the escape. My only regret is I’m on limited income otherwise I would love to be a patreon. Tata for now, soooo look forward for the next one. 🙏🏻🥰
Yay - thank you Anita 😊 Yes it was so warm - although we have had a lot of rain this week so wrapped up again now 😆 Don't worry about Patreon, I appreciate your support here so much!
So cool to see actual cooking going on during a backpacking trip! That did look good -- hopefully it wasn't too heavy to carry up there that first day.
Great video! I did Langsett to Margery Hill, Outer Edge and Crow Stones back in June with Alex Cripps. For me, Crow Stones has some of the best views in the Peak District and wow, what a place it makes for a wild camp! It was simply stunning. And the fun of climbing the larger stones too…. You have made me want to get back there ASAP😀. Liking the cookery too 👍
Really enjoyed this vid! Love the effort you put into them. From the B-roll to the zoom-ins of the landscape... and even the smaller things like the stop motion of packing up. Adds a nice touch. The views looked amazing! Found a perfect spot to set up camp too. Hopefully more wild camping vids coming? :p
Maria, Mary, Espeto com queijo assado? Bom demais 🤔 Skewers with baked cheese? Too good. As I told you, Brazilian is arrived in barbecue, meat, cheese, onions, chicken. Gauchos love barbecue and Chimarrão. Gramado sul do Brasil influência Alemã. The channel Camila has information about. Uai, This tent you can use here in Brazil. Your camping knowledge is fierce, eu senti firmeza 🎩😎
Thanks, Mary. The water in the bag at time 4:00 looks a little muddy. Have you ever had a problem with your filter clogging? Ours clogged once...it was not a happy experience.
Yes it looked a bit grim. It was clear of mud though just very peaty. My filter clogged a little, after soaking in vinegar and giving it a thorough flush it worked okay again though. Ive been lucky so far!
It's been a while since I've commented on your videos (I've been busy watching active thru hikes). I wanted to comment that your videos look beautiful! I like the way you film things (there's probably better words for that, but just know I enjoy your videos!). Also, so cool to see someone actually cooking (and, of course, vegan!) on a hiking trail! Not slapping a weird combination of food items on a tortilla (though I guess if I was a thru hiker...) but real cutting up of vegetables and stuff! That couscous with veggies looked good!!
great vid again young lady, the crow stones are epic, overlooked by the flip flop brigade who mostly stick to the beaten paths, that grub looked tasty, not so sure about the porridge though 🤮
Great spot to camp. I love crow stone edge and the rocking stones. I was up near that trig point the other week in the rain and ended up to my thighs in a peat bog! The views of the upper derwent valley are probably my favourite in the Peak District. Can I ask where exactly you parked your car? It’s always one of my biggest worries when wild camping- where I can safely leave the car.
Mary, can you make a video with some good vegan backpacking meals that are relatively simple for us beginners to prepare on trail? Vegetarian food is something I struggle with when camping and backpacking! The food in this video looked good!
Not bizarre - it's completely normal to ask. You basically go in the wild when you need to! I carry a little lightweight trowel and dig a 'cat hole' to do the business in and cover it over afterwards. The only rules are to do it away from water and the trails.
It's called the real pooh and its positively life affirming when done right 😂 seriously tho. Nothing to be scared of. As Mary says just make sure you pack your trowel and pick a suitably discreet spot... Which you kinda want to do anyway.

Glad you enjoyed it Vickie! Hope you are keeping well ☺️
Ahhh, such a sweet video. Awesome scenery. Those rocks were amazing. Thank you for sharing another fantastic adventure with us.
Thank you Betty Jo☺️
Hi Mary Mansfield, that was a lovely video ,see you and Derek looking at the sun down in the corner of the earth, thanks 🌞✌👍
Thanks so much Gabriel 😊
Wonderful! Fresh vegetables, a tenting without the rain fly, doing it all with a loved one.

Another awesome video. Thank you both for sharing.
btw i'm so impressed that you manage to find time to post DAILY! that's awesome

So glad you enjoyed it Brian. It was fun to show more of the camp life 😊
Great video Mary. Would love to see more wild camping. x
Thank you - I'll be out again soon 😊
I have a fondness for photographs of lit tents in the darkness. Thanks Tink!
Thanks Keith 🏕

Glad you enjoyed that part of it John! No it wasn't too bad as it was only a 3-day trip and we ate the heavy items first 😊
Enjoyed the video.

Lovely video thank you 🙏, looking at your map you was probably above the ruined farmhouse above Howdon dam which I visited in May thank you 🙏
Thanks Paul 😊

I love that area. I live very close by. We camped at Margery Stones the other week but it was a toss up between there or Crow Stones.
Great video 👍

Thanks Graham! The porridge did look a bit like gruel didn’t it, I promise it did taste much better than it looked 😂

I parked at the layaway opposite the main Langsett Car Park for 3 days and didn't have any problems.
@@MarysOutdoorAdventures that’s good to hear. Glad your car was safe, it looks like you had an epic adventure
💖

Yes of course Christine, I'll add it to my plans and see what I can do 😊
Thank you!!
Carry BEER, not 3 liters of water! Hahahaha!!! :)
😆 I think the video might have been a bit wobbly if I did that and the hike the next day would have been cancelled 🥴
Fabulous video sweetheart but that Derek guy looks a weirdo 🤣😘
🤪
Slightly bizarre question but where do you go poo poo?
