Same here. My epilepsy and anxiety has gotten so bad its practically impossible to leave the house.
@@KentSurvivalI’m also housebound, but used to camp a lot as a kid. I use a hoist too, so camping now would be interesting. I think it could be done but I’d love to see you Collab with a wheelchair user, to create a set up for disabled campers! Hoist use included.

@MBaker…., I didn’t either until the first time I camped on Assateague Island in Maryland (USA). Such a great way to enjoy the ocean and beaches inexpensively, for a whole week! The busy beach town of Ocean City was right near by, for evening activities in civilization. Ha ha. The wild ponies of Assateague explored our tents, popped their heads under our quick cold showers, and delighted us as they dashed out into the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The clear air and sun were glorious, all was quiet as I made my morning meals so I could hear all of the birds and other critters, and at night I fell asleep to the sounds of the sea. What could be better?

I discovered Andy recently and have to say he is my first go to RUclips camping bushcrafter. Always interesting, sometimes funny especially with friends. His calm voice and demeanor and lovely video shots make him so worth watching. Love watching him set up and make any one of his fantastic meals. I would love to go to one of his dinners, especially the Beef Wellington! 😊
Makes me think about my 3 man sitting in the garage, maybe when the weathers better. More of a 5* hotel girl, but I’d like to think I could still rough it for a night or two . It always looks so peaceful

Camping is an amazing experience, I haven't done it for a few years though. I use to camp up on Dartmoor with the beautiful wild Shetland ponies. I'm a Chef as my profession but, the best food I've ever cooked is always on a camp fire. Really enjoy your Camping experiences, it gives me the inspiration to get back out into the UK wilderness 🙌

I was going to go camping next weekend. It was going to be chilly, but I’m good with that. However rain was expected all weekend in addition to the cold. Not necessarily how I want to spend my weekend off. I’ll just camp vicariously through you for now. 😂

have you ever considered buying a small chain saw for cutting your wood? all that manual sawing looks exhausting.
He’s used a chainsaw before building a shelter 😊 but maybe prefers the lighter equipment!
Looks like there is enough fallen wood that you could build a cabin. 😊

Do they have chiggers in the UK? I once got tore up by them in Georgia just by sitting on the grass for a few minutes. Took me months to get over them.

Andy, I’ve always thought you should pack a woven polypropylene bag, like those IKEA bags, when you have room. It would fold down pretty small, you could carry twigs or logs you cut far from camp to save walking. Also would carry enough moss for the whole bed. Then it would keep wood dry in rain.
