I have memories of being young man recently divorced in a nasty relationship and going winter camping in Oregon with lightweight summer gear . Had a Camel cigarette promo give away tent ( I was a non-smoker). Next to the “Rogue River” temps dropped in to single digits *F . I kept my clothes on and tucked one lumberjack winter sleeping bag in to another and had a roaring fire just beside the tent. I actually survived the night relatively warm with clothes and double sleeping bags: fire raging besides, come morning tent had 6+ inches of snow on it and froze my man parts trying to make hot coffee in morning. Should have stayed in bed till noon but had places to be….memories wow 40 yrs ago!😂😂😂
I do exactly the same thing! It makes me thankful for my warm cozy bed - especially when it's raining or snowing outside. His comforting voice and manners lull me to sleep.
I used to watch these videos too and dreamed about sleeping in a tent. Then one day i bought -20°C sleeping bag and air mattress and slept in a kota hut. It was 0°C all night

These little hot tents are amazing. Last night I stayed in mine and we had gale force winds up around 100ks I can't say I got any sleep but the tent stayed up and that fabric blocked the wind really well. Another cheap tipi style tent nearby with only stuff in it was torn up by the wind and ended up in a ditch and in a town south of us a house lost its roof , power was out in the region from the storms. That little pomoly hot tent stayed sturdy, they are really something !
I lived five years in England. It always rains. You just have to not let it stop you from having fun. Nice video.

Perhaps analysing why defeats the purpose of serenity which is what it brings me but I think it's a combination of quiet chat, but not to much and the homeyness of watching the chow prepared... One of the best camp show, i have watched them all (I think). Love the cooked meals usually enough for 3-4 people but we all love abundance! Especially when it comes to food! Keep them coming...please!

We make our berry bacon pancakes by laying down bacon til most of the way done, pour the batter on each bacon to make a pancake, sprinkle berries (huckle berries are the absolute best) on top of each pancake, then when its set, flip it over and finish cooking. Pair them with real maple syrup, positively decadent.

I am always impressed on how bold robins are. We have one that sometimes waits on the bird table for me to fill it. Can be very aggressive to the sparrows. It appears when put food out, very tame.

Just found your channel about a week ago and you’ve fast become my favourite. EXACTLY what I needed in these testing times. I haven’t been out wild camping since my kids came along, but this has really made me want to get out there again and sit in the middle of somewhere wild. Bacon looked fab and did an audible gasp when the blueberries went in - was expecting an egg! the fact that I was so ‘there’ with you, is testament to you calming demeanour. I love your videos they are so relaxing with all the sounds and nice footage with you there in nature. The fire is spectacular with the beautiful glow from the lantern. Mr. Kent I love all the details from chopping wood to slicing potatoes to the cutting of the bacon and the view from you sitting in the tent while the snow gently falls.
I just got the same sled, albeit mine is carrying 32 year old behaving like an 8 year old. Hope you're enjoying the snow.

Tremendous video. I started to feel the effects of frostbite even though the weather here in California is 72F. I almost went to put on my mittens (as if I even had any mittens.) It is a pleasure to watch your videos.
Had to wait two days to get a nice full hour to sit down eat and enjoy this video, been watching for years and still every video is nice and fresh keep it up especially in these crazy times! Haha
