      Yes, you have good chances of making it to tier 1 colleges! Focus on getting a good CAT score. And if you plan to get prior experience before MBA - it will definitely help you during the placements (still its optional, just make sure you get the CMA charter before joining B-school).

      Such speculations are pointless, just focus on doing your BEST in CAT (target hamesh a100%ile rakhna), uske baad jo bhi result ho, will can figure the best strategy in given scenario.
      All the best! :))

    how cool is that when you said decent score in 12th 10th with 85 or 90 percentage wow

      Haha, can sense the sarcasm! Though there were some students with 9/9/9 profile in our college, and comparing with these stats- I genuinely consider my profile 'decent'!

    Hello,
    What are the chances of a 32 year old getting into a full time programme vs an executive programme.?
    8 years of experience but mainly looking for a career switch from a government job.
    Looking for your inputs please.

    • @aditya_shelar
      @aditya_shelar  10 месяцев назад

      Hi, I would highly recommend going for an executive MBA, given your experience and exposure gained over time. You can target consultancy firms during placements that offer govt advisory services.

      If you have full-time work experience - the salary slips would do, and in case you ran/were part of a business, then IT returns will suffice.
      For MBA, appear for CAT, ideally with 0 to 3 years of experience, target a full-time 2 year MBA.
      For executive MBA, appear for GMAT if you have 3+ years of experience.

    • @aditya_shelar
      @aditya_shelar  11 месяцев назад

      Career in India and abroad are two different ball game. For example, if aspire to be Google's global leader (C-suite or senior leadership) then one should definitely consider going abroad, specifically targeting the likes of Harvard, MIT and others.
      If you aspire to grow in the local leadership structure, continuing the same example of Google- India level senior leader / C-suite, then targetting BLACKI / ISB / FMS should be the target.
      In other context of getting placements and ROI risk factors, it depends on the brand of the college, economic conditions of the job market, and other factors - difficult to generalise this answer! But I hope you got the overall context.
      The best way ahead would be - give your best in converting best possible B-school and then build over on the work experience and networking skill over time.

    Sir my academics are poor like in 10,12 I got 70% and in college I got 8cgpa and I'm obc cate if I score 99% in cat? It is possible to get into iim L? Non engineering background!!

    • @aditya_shelar
      @aditya_shelar  9 месяцев назад

      Hi, you have two big advantages - NC OBC reservation and academic diversity, with this I think 99%+ is a safe score to expect a call for all BLACKI colleges (just make sure that you are able to clear all sectional cutoffs as well).
      I hope this helps, all the best! :))

      Two things- extra curricular (I had won research paper competition and national case study competition) and secondly, professional exams- had passed FRM both parts and CFA L1 during SY and TY of graduation.

      Hi Aatreya, along with BCom, I had completed US CMA, FRM and CFA level-1; and I also had 2 years of experience - by the time I sat for CAT, and 3 years of experience by the time I joined IIM Lucknow.
      Professional courses are optional, they amplify your CV’s impact, however, fundamentally I would recommend you to focus on good acads, CAT score and work experience (joining a B-school as a fresher is fine as well).
      I hope this helps! All the best :)

    Hello sir ! My profile is poor 7/7/7 & diploma in CFIA & some other computer certifiactions can I get into top IIM specially L & K?
    How much percentile required with this profile?

    • @aditya_shelar
      @aditya_shelar  9 месяцев назад +1

      This profile is not poor, yes, comparatively not a stellar one, but given you are from non-engineering background - this will help you with academic diversity, plus if you ace CAT really well, you can make it to any of the top 20 colleges in India - promising good career scope ahead.
      Personal note: Don't give up so soon! Fight for success, fight for glory, hard-work might be the only weapon you got, but it is worth every unit of effort, all the best! :))

    Hey, total how many seats are there for pgp-sm?

    • @aditya_shelar
      @aditya_shelar  9 месяцев назад

      I was part of the 7th batch, we had approx 34 seats, the following batch has 40 seats.
      The usual trend I have seen across b-schools is 5x to 10x calls being sent out. (Maybe 200 to 400 calls will be sent out based on CAT and profile score.)
      I hope these stats help you, all the best! :)
