Chris is doing an amazing job reviewing cars in under 10 minutes. This is my now to go channel if I need to get to know everything I need about the car, without spending 20 minutes listening about the infotainment system alone😅
I honestly like the fact that nissan still tries to target the audience that just needs some basic transportation, without too many bells and whistles. But on the other hand, this car feels extremely cheap inside, all these plastic elements don't seem to be well made. Hope this cheap approach doesn't go all the way to the engine and electrical equipment.
I love that old school style key. Love not spending $500 usd for a new computer chip style key! I also love that they didn’t slap a turbo on it. I just want a basic puddle jumper. The no arm rest sucks. But the CVT is the dealbreaker for me. Great & quick review video my friend.
@@eddieslittlestack7919 I will say this. I have the "S" trim. Not having the lock/unlock/panic button on the key is a real drag. Not the end of the world, but you'll notice it. I find myself opening my door, unlocking the rest of the doors, waiting for people to pile out and locking the doors. Also, there are differences on the locks. Like on the passenger door, you turn the key one way and on the driver door, you turn the key the other way. Drives me crazy.
I really like the physical key, it's something I've missed on the last few cars I've had. But I have to admit that using the key to pop the trunk is a downer, should have included a button or handle for that. Overall this seems like a great little commuter car that gives you everything you need to get around and is very fuel efficient without being a hybrid.
I have the same vehicle 2024. Great car, my first and i love it. Clean, sleek, simple, safe and modern. Like me. Haha. But, yeah, great car and awesome on gas. No complaints but wish the locking mechanism was as good as the kia souls. Mine is just three months old, nearly and makes a pew-type sound when locking the doors. Aside from that, cool car!
One less thing to go wrong with less tech... OMG " I HAZ TO USE KEY TO DO DOOR LOCK THINGY?!" Tis life, shame we don't get the manual version here in Canada...
You guys in Canada do not get the 5 Speed Manual transmission option for the 2024 Versa while here in the States we do not get the 6 Speed Manual transmission (or a hand parking brake) option for the 2024 Sentra.
@@carsunlocked Back in June I got a new 5 Speed 2024 Versa S here in the States . I would have considered a 6 Speed Manual Sentra but they are not offered here, only the CVT.
That’s your BEEF ?? Still the key?? Thank God for the KEY. KEY FOB more chances for your car to be stolen or just things to go wrong THANKS NISSAN FOR KEEPING THE KEY👍👍👍
The worst thing on this model it's made in Mexico not Japan & do not expect to last. The 5 speed manual is your better option on this base model as the Jatco CVT sucks & always having issues. You can add an aftermarket alarm & it will add the remote for the doors & a few bucks more you can add the actuator for the trunk to work on remote. As for the radio you can put an aftermarket stereo up to 10 inch screen with kit & wiring adapters. Many stereos now come with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay & also HD Radio & you can add SiriusXM Satellite Radio. You will need to change the speakers as the OEM ones sound tinny. -Cheers!
@@carsunlocked no they didn't. i'm not sure why people think this (poor research because it even lists this on their website). i own a 2024 nissan S in manual transmission. (edit: i take it back, didn't realize you were in canada--in the USA you can get manual)
@@UPdan The parts and labor is tiny compared to increased depreciation, taxes, and insurance on a new junker. So you have to replace tires and brake pads, not a big deal.
Not everyone wants to fixing paid and it is used. I might just pay the higher price and be in peace that I won't have to fix the car for the next 3-5 years even longer.

hey thanks for the kind words David that means so much ! appreciate it

agreed the real estate sign in the back breaks my heart

i bet it does
Yep, a manual transmission would be much better, and easier to fix, just like on the Micra and Versa sold everywhere else in the world.
Thanks for the shout out my friend. 😍
thank you for all your support as always! you been there since the beginning

Kris, I didn’t realize you had some cake on you. Looking good.
lmaooo thanks for that

glad you are happy thanks for visiting the channel
I got a SV trim in Canada. Great milege ❤
The old fashion isn't such a bad thing. No battery to replace or worry about if the battery is getting low. 😃
yea your right
Or $500 to $600 for a new computer chip style key! I like the old school key.
Probably hard to find at dealers. Wonder how long it would take if ordered.
theres lots at dealers we could have one for you probably in a week
The key is fine with me. I'm accustomed to that.
thanks for watching!

they just got rid of it in 2024

it would be perfect

i will accept the risk for the convenience ive owned a nissan intelligent key for 10 years never stolen or faulty
Chris is 🔥. The car is ok-ish.

OMG no way and no sale if the back seats don't fold Down. I have no room to hide the Bodies 👀

Thanks for the insight
Did Nissan get rid of the rear folding seats for all the Versa models ?
No. Just for the S trim. If you get the SV or SR trim you'll get the split.
I dont see why they wouldnt just put it in all the models
@@bigmike5678 That makes sense. Seems to an option that people would want in the higher trims and feel cheated if they were not fold-downs.
rear drums are perfectly fine on a car this weight, it says money so why not
thanks for the insight
I've 80s car still original drums brake. 300,000km
I think it would be exhausting to have to physically put a key in a lock.
i agree
Fun fact it's more comfortable than Toyota Yaris (real yaris).
thans for the fact
You're probably only going to get that price with a manual. Then again Nissan is having trouble moving inventory.
nope thats the price of this model here in canada
SR is the way to go for the Versa
thanks for watching
Pop the hood. Show me the engine. I'll give u 15k cash today
thanks for watching will do
But I need a manual transmission.... I don't want that CVT garbage

@@LyleBialk yes for 2025 they got rid of it in Canada
Why wouldn’t you just buy a used car? It’s about the same price that I paid for a used 2020 Tacoma.
many diffferent variables, lower interest rate, better warranty and maintenance
Because of the costs of parts and repairs for used.
