everything about your videos is so relaxing, the aesthetics of your house, the filming, and your voice is so soothing! It really feels nice to sit back and watch your videos! :)
1. You can use water left over from boiling vegetables too. 2. When I start my seeds in the spring, I use my car as a mini greenhouse. You have to monitor the temp obviously, but it works. Only lost one flat when I forgot I put on the hood, and it was nighttime. Remember hearing a funny noise, remembered the next day. R.I.P. little seedlings.
most important thing of taking care of plants is to really get to know them! i just left a comment on somebody else's video saying that when i think of watering my plants it can make me anxious, cause i really have a lot. But when i do it it's makes me feel so relaxed. And also i think it makes your interior look way more nicer, so why not right hehe.. i think i still need to find better places for some plants in my house, but this is also a part of getting to know the plants better :)
EXACTLY! I started changing my normal routine and started following what a RUclipsr was saying to do. I live in the UK and she doesn't so that was not a good idea. I don't have the heat and light that she does and what works for her did not work for me. Once you get more knowledge about plants...you learn what to do and what not to do for the plants and environment/climate they are in.
I remember seeing your videos quite a while ago. Inspired by your plant videos, I wanted my room to look like yours. Today, I can say with confidence that my room looks like the lush forest I wanted it to look like. Thank you for getting me into my passion :)
This was really calm and informative at the same time!! Didn't feel like a lecture on how I would take care of my plants, so I feel so much positive vibes from this one~ safe to say that this could be my favorite planty video after watching so many on YT... love it so much! Keep doing what you do Audrie! ❤️
Do I have any plants... no, no I don’t. Will I watch this vid multiple times just b/c it’s Audrie... yes, yes I will ❤️ A breath of fresh air on my sub list.
"I bought whatever looked pretty at the flea market" - that is so true! I don't even remember how many plants I got, because they were cute, but I had no Idea how to take care of them, or what their growth pattern was. Once I had a succulent that lost its bottom leaves and crawled out of the pot. I also got 2 small ferns, put them on window sill without even researching their needs - they were dead a couple of weeks later.
Use Neptune’s harvest fish and seaweed fertilizer. It does smell bad but, it works great. My monstera grew so quickly! I do it every other week or once a month.
Love your plant collection, Audrie! 😍 They’re so healthy! I don’t know if you’ve heard of LECA or semi-hydroponics, but I’ve converted a handful of my plants from soil to LECA last year, and a lot of your propagated cuttings would do well in it if you ever decide to try. It took a little getting used to the system, but I love it because I saw a reduction in pests! I also find that Pothos, Philodendrons, and Monsteras love LECA.
5:32 For misting, I use an app to help guide me through. But I want to point out for Monstera... My misting caused small dark/burnt spots! I realized it was from the droplets acting as a magnifying glass for the light/heat from my growlight! So be careful
Hello Audrie! You have a lovely home and I love your plants. You are very lucky to have enough sunlight for yourself and for them. Honestly, I've tried plants similar to yours before but they kept on dying so I tried succulents and cacti. And recently one of my friends gifted me an air plant. I found your channel trying to figure out how to best care for my new baby plant. Any advice on caring for a small air plant? Thank you!
Your videos never fail to bring me so much comfort! Your old vids inspired me to fill my home with plants. A lot of them died tbh LOL but I’m waay better with them now 😅
you should try misting with come colloidal silver! definitely water it down so it’s not completely saturated but it helps keep away pests and your plants healthy
i want to get into plants, understanding what works well for my environment and indications of underwatering/overwatering and this video was so nice :] i love your editing style and all your plants look amazing
I love plants as house decor , but I just realized how hard it is to nurture I’m like DAaaammnnn ... so many ways to do 😣😫 not everyone could do it but Audrie I admire ur patience Lol😭😒
I love your plants! Your videos are really soothing to watch!!!! these plants keeps me calm 💚😍 Can you recommend plants that suits best in your work space?
oh my goodness I’m in awe at those huge and strong root systems, especially on the cuttings! do you have any tips? and also do you put cuttings right into the water after snipping or wait for the cut part to heal over
that was a comprehensive information which I needed thank you, the brown bottle looks so nice against the window and the cane magazine rack the plants are healthy and beautiful .
Brilliant video. Straight to the point and very helpful. I’m a new plant Mummy and I’ve already killed three! Very informative and easy to understand. Thank You, Audrie. xx
Have never been so early! I cant say how much your videos help me :) i have been feeling so down and sad lately but watching your videos gives me a surge of motivation entretien every time❤️
I definitely felt like that in the spring (not sure why - I just always feel sad in April/May) but I’m starting to feel like myself again. Hopefully you feel better soon and I’m glad I can give you a little boost 😊
Ok......my question is gonna seem out in left field but hopefully you'll be able to save my plant... so I have a huge alocasia plant/ elephant ear... I was trying to put a metal loop rod support to hold it from leaning. Upon doings so on the under side of the big leaf where the leaf attaches to the stem two little veins ripped at the base of stem and leaf ripped. All I could think of doing was to putting a piece of tape on it , giving the leaf support and where the vein ripped to hold it in its original place, almost like a graft ! 99% of the leafs veins and leaf are intact, literally at the base of leaf where it has all the veins that run through the entire leaf the first two ripped! Any suggestions 🤔 nutrients I can give it to aid in recovery?
I 💯 absolutely loooove all your 🪴 plants the way you did them up around your house looks amazing, thanks for the plant tips l have l have takin it all in,🤗❤🤩😘
how much bigger should you go in pot size when repotting from a nursery pot? my monstera is still in its nursery pot and its doing great but I'm not sure what size pot I should get to repot. I'm scared because my friend repotted her monstera after a short while of it growing and now it's not doing well:(
I love all your videos. You're such an inspiration and I'm really into plants.🌵 Also what's your favourite indoor plant? Also any spider plant care tips. Plz
Ohh..!its my first time visiting this channel..its soo amazing ..I am sure that this channel going to be one of my favorite. ..💜your video editing also so cool...i hope i can be success as you in one day....😶
Great video I love plants my sisters make fun of me they say one day when I come in here and your apartment is going to look like a jungle I was like that is my hope
I enjoy growing plants, but I often lack the know-how, resulting in many of my plants withering quickly. However, through this video, I gained various tips on how to take care of plants well, which has been very helpful. I will study harder and strive to create an environment where plants can thrive from now on. 10312
A couple different methods I've heard of are mosquito bits, diatomaceous earth, fungus ghat sticky traps, 1:5 ratio of hydrogen peroxide and water, and if it's really bad you can remove all the soil from your plants and bake new soil before you use it to kill off any bugs. Most of the time though it's important to use multiple methods at once. What kills off the adults usually won't have an effect on the larvae and vice versa, and you have to periodically keep up with pest management because it only takes 1 egg to lead to an infestation. I hope this helps!
I always spray neem oil onto the surface of the soil before I water! That way it gets watered into the soil and kills the larvae but doesn’t harm the plants soil and root micro biome.
5:43 *pet infestations* ahhaha i WISH a herd of cats/dogs/rabbits would invade my home when i don't dust off my plant leaves!!
omg hahahahaha whoops
Pinning this comment just in case… I meant *pest* infestations 😹
A green home is a happy home 🤗🌿🪴

Audrie, you’re such a ray of light and comfort 🥺 I’m happy to see that all your plants are getting well adjusted in your new home❤️

I heard someone say the best way to keep a ZZ Plant alive is to “forget you have one”. They THRIVE off of neglect
I think its the same for haworthia
Lol right!
I had one, i took care of it. It died. 😢
Nope. My plant died of neglect. Just found out the soil wasn't very suitable.
