    I’m an Englishman and I remember my Father introducing me to Bob Newhart The Driving Instructor, Defusing a Bomb,Sir Walter Raleigh,School for Bus Drivers and more at the age of thirteen his brilliance and humor have stayed with me forever now at 67 I still cry with laughter thank you for this I lost the LP my dad gave me many years ago.

      Bob Newhart is awesome. A friend of mine got me into him back in the early 80's.
      I was lucky back in the early 90's after years of searching coz I managed to get hold of an almost mint condition copy of that LP and the only play it's had is so I could tape it. You can't beat the sound of vinyl.

    My Grandad introduced me to this when I was barely in double digits.
    I recognised the voice but not the name since I was so young. He was howling with laughter but I didn’t really get it at the time. But I still remembered the clip when I actually started driving.
    This is how comedy is actually made through the genius of description and implied situation.
    An absolute classic.🙌🏽

      It's nice when a comic can get laughs while working clean, but to think just swearing is going to get cheap laughs every time is ridiculous. You try getting on stage and using an f-bomb as your punchline in every joke and see how many laughs you get. It doesn't work that way. Successful comedians who don't work clean also require talent. Side note: Redd Foxx is from the same generation as Bob Newhart.

    • @ctdieselnut
      @ctdieselnut 2 года назад +1

      @@myaccountvideos what makes brian regan even more funny is knowing that he actually has a temper irl similar to bill burr. The way he reacts to stuff in his bits is far more sarcastic than what is apparent. I heard a comedian talking about brian say this.

When my own kids were little we would drive into an empty car park and I’d go into a driving instructor mode with a Mrs Webb. You know the sort of stuff....making the car jump with the clutch, sliding etc etc. I never could figure out where it came from but my kids loved it. I’m going to forward this via Spotify.
