  • Bob Newhart (1929-2024) spent over 60 years entertaining the masses. From his comedy albums that earned him three Grammy wins to Emmys for his critically acclaimed sitcoms, Newhart's deadpan delivery and sharp wit made him an unforgettable household name. He is considered to be one of the greatest minds in comedy history. Bob’s first album, THE BUTTON DOWN MIND OF BOB NEWHART (1960) shot to the #1 spot on Billboard Records and stayed there for 14 weeks. Thirty years later in 1992, Bob wanted to record a live special mirroring the classic material on the album. Thirty years after that in 2020, the digital audio album titled BOB NEWHART: OFF THE RECORD was released worldwide with a vinyl release in 2021. Please enjoy this special, full of his comedy that will continue to entertain generations of comedy lovers. Thank you for the many years of laughs, Bob!

Bob's wonderful comedy routines were unique. They were cleverly crafted and very funny.
I have lost count of how often I have listened to his driving instructor skit. It never gets old.
Right up until his final years, he was comedy perfection.
    He will be greatly missed.

I took theater or speech as an elective all 4 years of high school. , and my Thespian friends, all loved Newhart and I still have my vinyl records of his first two albums to this day. If you have never heard them, you should listen to them. This was one one the funniest men…so glad he did not stay in accounting! You are going to be very missed. Oh, my goodness bob, how much you will be missed. Every time I think of you, I think of my dad and his brothers. My uncles always converged on our house at least twice a year. They are scattered all over the country. One of the last things that I did for them prior to their next visit was to make a video of the funniest skits of Bob Newhart in anticipation of their next visit to see my Dad. Little did we know that my Dad would not being an attendee. They came home for his funeral instead. Anyway, after all the funeral activities were completed all our relatives came to my parents' home to celebrate the man that my dad was. We made a tape of him and all his family to view after the services were all daid and done. After that was over, I debated whether or not to play my recording. Well, I did so, and the house was booming with laughter. After it was over it was filled with us all crying. I miss my dad so much to this day. But bringing laughter into his house after was the one thing my dad would have loved. Sorry, this is so long. I miss you so much, daddy. Thank you, Mr. Newhart, for all your wonderful years of laughter. You were one of a kind and will surely be missed by millions. My condolences to his family.
