I had a time in my life where I believed my self to be a good and tollerant person, because I as a christian person, did not hit people in the head with the Bible, and condem them for being gay, but I learned that I was creating a cottely God to please the world, God is not the one that need to change but I am the one that need to change by the renewable of my mind as the Bible teach

As a newly saved baptist teenager, I had the utterance of tongues; I could sense prayer in another language in my mind because my words were just not enough to express what I was feeling but did not know what it was so I never spoke it out. It was four years later that I got baptized in the Holy Spirit.

    Right on Torben!
I have been seeking a church in the area of Melbourne, Florida, not only I but other disciples. I am reading their statements of faith, and I am shocked at how many are saying that baptism is an outward profession to man.
I am also experiencing many believers that are still living in sin yet teaching Bible studies and also teaching baptism is not important, that Jesus Christ is our savior alone and just confess before man and believe without repentance or baptism. They are just walking out this life still in sin and unchanged. Many of these people have seen deliverance and baptism at my home according to your teachings of the Bible, the truth and in Spirit and have seen radical changes in those people, yet they still stand in what their pastors are teaching at church and holding onto that deception. I think it may be due to they are comfortable in their sin and are not ready to repent, and or are not being ministered to correctly and or taking the scripture out of context. Repent, that is another thing I’m not seeing on Chruch’s statement of faiths. And let me say this, so once was I. I once walked this life like this and now I am free! I am living a life with Jesus Christ that is truly amazing, I can never go back.
Keep going Torben, and keep posting teachings from the Bible as a Disciple of Jesus Christ, you are a freedom fighter hallelujah ☝🏼🕊❤️. Jesus said I’ve come to teach about the kingdom. It’s the reason I’ve come, I’ve come to set the captives free!
“And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”

There have been seasons when I’ve been more bold then I am now and I can give all the excuses of why I’ve stopped stepping out praying for others for healing at any moment or just praying and listening more. But I’ve been asking the lord to change my heart and for boldness and though I still chicken out at times I’ve been practicing praying in the Spirit more and for anyone that stops me as I run errands to offer to pray a little more. The lord will see the baby steps we take and he will still be pleased we just need to keep taking those baby steps in faith to walk out our faith and he will give us more courage and joy as we do

In fact that is what I see from the Bible. My problem are all the people that come up and ask: what about people that have repented and are not baptized or are baptized as infants? I feel like there are so many problems because we weren’t obedient in the first place.
The verses that come to my mind are those: „Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.“
      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬
I wished for us as a body we would rebuild our church on the foundation that was laid by the Apostles, the real church fathers.

Praise The Lord! What about the thief on the cross? He was not baptized and had not received The Holy Ghost? He simply believed in Jesus and he was saved.
”For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.“
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
”Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;“
      ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬
”For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“
      ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I do believe in Acts 2:38. For I have been baptized by water and fire (Holy Ghost). But we must not let the enemy deceive us. God bless all who read this message in Jesus Name.

But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.“

The only way to NOT be deceived ....is to ALWAYS always SPEAK (only) the TRUTH!
Because it's a spiritual law: you will reap whatever you sow.
And if you think that's easy in today's world, you are deceived already. It will cost you pretty much everything to always tell the truth. It's something you have to practice doing every day and at first you'll have to repent..alot!
But its the second part of worshipping Him in

    and
🗣️📖Truth (always speak in agreement with the Scriptures and...never ever lie!)

Hi Torben! I really believe that you are a men of God! I already watched a lot of your videos. I have pray before for some people that got healed. I preach the gospel sometimes to people where the Holy Spirit guide me! Sometimes at my building, sometimes at the streets, gas stations, people houses. At work…I have seen so many miracles happen… God is faithful! God is good! I have a son that has migraines, his dad had also migraines when he was young. When he got older he got better. I keep praying for his healing, rebuking the migraine every time my son’s has it. I keep believing for his healing. It’s really hard for me to see him suffering from this disease. I don’t want to lose hope. I already fast and pray for his healing but didn’t happen! I think I will do another fasting. I just receiving now a txt from my neighbor downstairs that got healed of cancer, he was so sick but with prayers, fasting, encouraging him in the faith, God healed him! I am so happy for my brother in Christ! But Sometimes I wonder why I have the same faith towards my son and he doesn’t get healed. Sometimes times I wonder why I prayed for so many other people and they got healed and not my own son? But even so I will glorify my God!! He has been so good until here. I wish I can speak in tongues by I still not speaking! I had a dream one night that was so vivid! And I was speaking in tongues in my dreams in the presence of God! Even my body felt the presence of God! Such a wonderful feeling! One thing I Know, that when we obey the voice of the Holy Spirit , we always will see miracles! God bless you and your beautiful family!!

I thoroughly enjoy your teaching the need to reform/return to biblical truth concerning many topics that have been distorted by the "church" throughout history. Something I don't see pointed out very often in your teachings is the need to return to administering water baptism as taught in the Bible. The apostles baptized in the name of Jesus. The RCC began the tradition of using the phrase Father, Son and Holy Ghost years afterward. The Apostle Paul rebaptized people that had not been baptized correctly. I would enjoy seeing you teach on that subject.

The worrying thing is that these people who hear this statement from Jesus Christ are said to:
    1. Be many (not a few).
    2. Profess(ed) Jesus Christ as their Lord.
    3. Have done ministry work on earth in Jesus Christ's name.
Yet, they are still told that the Lord Jesus did not know them and to depart from Him (not entering the kingdom of Heaven), being characterized as:
    1. Not doers of God's will.
    2. Doers of lawlessness.
I am going to post (below) an exposition I did of Matthew 7:21-26 so that the reader can understand how it is that these people fell into this state.
    *Exposition Of Matthew 7:21-26*
// 21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell-and great was its collapse!” //
    - Matthew 7
VERSE 21: in this verse the Lord makes the point that not everyone who confesses Him as Lord enters the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of the Father will enter the kingdom of Heaven (and in the following verses we will find out what the will of the Father is, in context).
Notice the structure: not everyone who "says" X enters the kingdom (implying that there will be people who "say" X which do enter; yet saying X, by itself, is not sufficient to enter), but rather only he who "does" Y will enter the kingdom. This verse is contrasting "saying" X with "doing" Y. It is the "doers" and not, merely, the "say-ers" which enter the kingdom.
VERSES 22 & 23: many (not a few) people on judgment day will have (1) a confession that Jesus Christ is Lord and will have (2) done ministry work in His name, yet they will be told by the Lord Jesus: 'I never knew you; depart from me'; being characterized as workers of lawlessness.
VERSES 24 & 25: in this verse it states 'therefore', meaning it is a conclusion formed from the previous text. The word "therefore" is translated from the Greek word "οὖν". Strong's states: "οὖν a conjunction indicating that something follows from another necessarily". The conclusion to be formed from the previous text is that anyone who both (1) hears & (2) does the Lord’s words is a wise-man. This is in contrast to those of the previous verses who confessed Jesus as Lord and did ministry work in His name, yet they were characterized as being lawless (and we will see in verse 26, that these people of the previous verses heard the Lord’s words/commands but did not do them. That was their problem and why they were characterized as being 'lawless' in verse 23).
The Lord’s words, which are to be heard and obeyed, in context are the teachings from the Sermon-On-The-Mount. So doing the Lord’s words, from the Sermon-On-The-Mount, is related to doing the will of the Father found in verse 21. It is these doers of His words which are considered wise builders (who built their house upon a rock). These doers houses will stand the storm/judgment and they will enter the kingdom of Heaven, since they are contrasted to those who do not enter Heaven in verse 21.
Notice, the issue the Lord is stressing in these verses, concerning ones entrance into the kingdom of Heaven, is not concerning the doctrine one believes, but rather the way which one lives in light of His words/commands.
VERSES 26 & 27: in these verses the Lord teaches that anyone who merely hears His words but does not do them, they are foolish, because they built their house (their ministry/life) on sand (not the rock). Such a house can not stand against the storm/judgment.
These people who build on sand are those in verses 21-23 who have a profession that Jesus Christ is Lord and even did ministry work in His name, yet lived lawlessly and not according to Jesus Christ's law/words (which in direct context is the Sermon-On-The-Mount, but one could extrapolate it further to all the Lord’s teaching/words, including the teaching of the Apostles commissioned by the Lord).
Remember that this, according to our Lord, will be many people on judgment day (who professed Him as Lord and did ministry work in His name), not a few. That is very sobering.
    ***START OF SIDE NOTE***
I do not believe the Lord is teaching salvation is by works in these verses, but He is at least teaching that certain works of obedience are a necessary fruit/evidence of a saving faith and real salvation. For example, that is why in the previous verses (Matthew 7:16-20) the Lord talks about a tree and its fruit. The type of tree one is, is evidenced by their fruit/works.
Entering and remaining in the covenant is not (as covenant-nomism teaches):
    1. one enters into the covenant via a repentant-faith and then...
    2. one remains in the covenant via works.
Entering and remaining in the covenant is:
    1. one enters into the covenant via a repentant-faith and then...
    2. one remains in the covenant via the same way they entered the covenant (i.e. a repentant-faith), in which works are a necessary fruit/evidence that one has a repentant-faith (that is they now live for God through faith in Christ Jesus their lord: Acts 20:21, Acts 26:20, etc.) and has been regenerated (and is being led) with the indwelling Holy Spirit.
In the Gospel's the Lord mainly spoke about two things: doing the will of God and the kingdom of God. Christianity is about living to please God (which includes His will/kingdom) and living to bless others, rather than living for one's life in this world (as their main priority).
    ***END OF SIDE NOTE***
Luke's parallel of the Sermon-On-The-Mount teaches the same thing even more clearly (though Luke renders the sermon slightly differently). Luke states:
// 46“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? 47Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: 48he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. 49But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” //
    - Luke 6
To use the term "lord" means one recognizes this person is in authority over them and thus they should obey them. The Lord Jesus is basically saying: "if you call me 'lord' (which means you recognize me as your authority) then why don't you obey what I tell you to do?" (which in context are the commands from the Sermon-On-The-Mount). One has to hear and do to be wise; hearing and not doing is the what the fool does.
Again the Sermon-On-The-Mount ends with a conclusion (in both Matthew's and Luke's rendering) of two types of people:
    1. Foolish people: these are those who (A) profess Jesus as Lord (some even doing ministry work in His name, in Matthew's version), (B) hear the words/commands of Jesus and who (C) don't do/obey the words/commands of Jesus which they heard.
    2. Wise people: these are those who (A) hear the words/commands of the Lord Jesus and (B) they do/obey the words/commands of the the Lord Jesus which they heard.
// As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” //
    - Luke 11:27-28
// If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing... //
    - 1 Timothy 6:3-4a
// But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, *DECEIVING* yourselves. //
    - James 1:22

      THE AREA OF DECEPTION
I want to now look at the issue of deception.
The Bible quite a few times warns believers not to be deceived. However, it never states something like: "do not be deceived by a doctrine which teaches 'a Christian can not live in a state of continual, unrepentant sin and still be saved'; because such a doctrine would be salvation by works and not by grace". Rather, the warnings to not be deceived are stating the exact opposite, it seems.
// For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one *DECEIVE* you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. //
      - Ephesians 5:5-6
// You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one *DECEIVE* you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. //
      - 1 John 3:5-10
// Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be *DECEIVED*: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, or drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. //
      - 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
// But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, *deceiving* yourselves. //
      - James 1:22.
// Do not be *DECEIVED*: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. //
      - Galatians 6:7-8 (living in the flesh ends in corruption which is stated in contrast to [and thus the negation of] the end being eternal life).

    Acts 10 - Cornelius
He, the first gentile convert, got God's attention by what he did....his works.
He prayed always and he gave to the poor.
These works initiated a response from God to send Peter to him and his household with the Gospel message. God filled them with the Holy Spirit while Peter preached. After this Peter commanded them to be water baptized.

Yes, in James, he says that Abraham was justified through his actions, but in this case the word used means "vindicated". It demonstrated it to be genuine. Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, LOOKING TO JESUS, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. (Hebrews 12:1-3 ESV)

What I'm trying to work out is if I am truly repentant and if I have truly made Jesus Lord.
One thing I am sure of is that salvation is for those who are IN Christ, who do not live according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die.
Salvation is a life for a life. "If you try to keep YOUR life, you will lose it, but if you give up your life for my sake, you will keep it unto eternal life". "Why do you call me "Lord", but not DO what I say?" Of course there is grace, but obedience is the test of genuine faith. Without it, we are found unfit and will not enter the Kingdom of God.
Where I struggle is that it's tempting to feel the pressure of "working for it" and I think there is a Scripturally accurate basis for it. Jesus, Peter and Paul all warned that we should be terrified of missing the mark.
I keep searching for the answers, but I have little peace and I think that's OK. I would rather worry and come to understanding than comfort myself into hell.

    • @Jason-ub4rt
      @Jason-ub4rt 2 месяца назад

hey bro, when you say you would rather worry and come to an understanding than comfort yourself into hell this is a confession of true repentance and a desire to get it right by putting Gods will first and foremost in your life and trusting that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him (Heb 11:6) as repentance is a daily walk of seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and denying ourselves, taking up our cross and following Jesus - there is a war between the inner new creation man (born again of water and the spirit) and the outer old man of the flesh (Gal 5:16-18) and what you are experiencing is normal as we grow in Christ. I presume you have been baptised in water and baptised in the holy spirit and can therefore pray in the spirit (speak in tongues) - I would encourage you to make time alone with God & to spend at least an hour each day praying Mt26:40-41 (or more if possible) in tongues and time in the word and in building up the innerman (Jude v19-21, 2Ti 2:15-16 etc etc) spending time with God and allowing the holy to minister to your spirit by both the spirit and the word and as you daily sow to the spirit (Gal 6:8-10) you will start to enter more deeply into the love, joy, peace etc and develop the fruit of the spirit and character of Christ in the inner man and this will eventually start to over flow in your life - I went through a season of years similar to what you are saying and was seeking and spending many hours a day in the secret place (private prayer) at the feet of Jesus asking for clarity, help in overcoming and to be led of the holy spirit (fasting at times also) and over time the holy spirit just transformed my life massively. I dont know who you are or your journey or what you do or dont do but if there is any edification or encouragement in the scripture references & testimony ive shared then praise God, he has great things for all of us and lifts us up as we humble ourselves to trust in him, his word and his wisdom. be blessed..

I unfortunately have not been filled with the Spirit yet or prayed in tongues though I prayed for it for over a year and even got rebaptized. I got pretty discouraged after that and struggled, but I got over it and continue to seek relationship with God.
Peter said that the Holy Spirit is given to those who obey. I wondered for a while what that meant, but now I'm sure it means "obey the word of truth" which is the good news (meaning believe, repent, and be baptized). That's why I wonder if I am truly repentant (or I'm not understanding how to live by faith.)

" 1 ye may prophesy" Cor. 14: 6 " Now brethren, if i come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? " Vers 11: " Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh a barbarian, shall be a barbarian unto me" 1 Cor. speaks of various gifts of the Spirit. Vers 10: (...) " TO ANOTHER the working of miracles , (...) TO ANOTHER divers kinds of tongues; TO ANOTHER the interpretation of tongues." It makes clear: Speaking in tongues for exemple is not given for everyone.

Jesus Himself proclaimed all that are Born of the Spirit will speak in tongues.
    John 3:8
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou HEAREST the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is EVERY ONE that is born of the Spirit. Notice how it mentions "HEAREST" and "So is EVERY ONE". that is Born of the Spirit.
And confirmed this on the day of Pentecost.
    Acts 2:1-4
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came A SOUND from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were ALL FILLED with the Holy Ghost, and BEGAN TO SPEAK WITH TONGUES, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Isn't tongues an actual language? Not so much la la la, kind of noise?

I think your heart is in a right place, but when you say "as an elder one of the things they know how to do is to get people healed" you are wrong.
It is the exclusive will and purpose to God to heal according to his own prerogative. Not that of elders.
I say this because we are really just cups on Gods shelve. No matter how old a cup is, if the owner does not chose to use it to serve wine, it remains an empty cup on the onwers shelf.
So, but if we are filled with when, again according to his will, then he will use us to serve it.
There are cups he uses everyday, there are cups he uses once in a while for special occasions, there are cups he uses in unfavorable places, and there are cups he keeps in the shelf for s specific time.
What then is the point, God owns us all, and he will chose who he wants to use for his own purpose, how, when etc.
