Unlocking the Power of Baptism: Freedom from Sin and Revelation Await - Important, Please share

  • This will bring revelation and freedom. I have done many teachings before about baptism, but nothing like this one.
    We need to ask ourselves: What does God do in baptism? Why does Paul talk about marriage and how we are released from the law that binds us to each other when he talks about baptism? Why did the early church always baptize people right away when they came to faith?
    You will receive many answers in this teaching that will set you free from the law of sin and death. In many ways, I see this as one of the most important teachings I have done about baptism as we answer the basic questions: Why do we need to be baptized and how is this part of salvation?
    Today, we have two deceptions. On one side, there are those who preach baptismal regeneration, which means that baptism itself saves and that we need to baptize babies. On the other side, there are those who preach that baptism is just a symbol and an outward sign. They see it as an obedient act and nothing more. They don't baptize right away as we see in the Bible, and they don't understand what God does in baptism. Both of these views are wrong. There is a middle road, and this teaching will help you see what the Bible, not our traditions, says about baptism.
    This is the second teaching I am doing in this series. The first was about repentance, as you can see here:
    Repentance, Sin, and the Kingdom: Restoring Truth to the Church - IMPORTANT TEACHING
    • Repentance, Sin, and t...
    If you want more teaching about baptism, I also have a two-hour teaching where we look at all the verses in the New Testament about baptism:
    FIGHTING FOR THE GOSPEL - TRUE BAPTISM (THE CHURCH HAS MISSED)
    • FIGHTING FOR THE GOSPE...
    Please watch this and share it, as there are sadly not many who preach the whole truth anymore.
    May this teaching set you free from sin so you can live a new life in Christ.

    I just got baptized anew at 45 years old. When I first got baptized at around 13 years old, I was not taught about repentance nor what God does for me through baptism. I've been praying for freedom and the Holy Spirit for almost 4 years. I couldn't see what I was missing. I've never been able to tolerate more than 5 min of your heavy accent, I would always get irritable and frustrated. This morning I have been fasting specifically for receiving of the Holy Spirit. I started getting frustrated again and had to pause the video four or five times because I just couldn't handle the accent. I told the Lord, " I'm going to push through and listen to everything Torben has to say." When I started the video again it was like listening to the most pleasant person I've ever heard, now you speak eloquently and it's very relaxing to hear you speak. Also, I don't hear an accent anymore. I continued and realized I have been carrying around the old dead carcass since my baptism two years ago. I told the Lord, "I'm letting it go now, I would rather have You and your Holy Spirit than sin." I immediately felt 1000 lbs lighter, and I'm FREE! Glory to Our Lord Jesus (aka Yeshua Melek HaMassiach).

    Wonderful teaching! Why do we need to be told, over and over again, what the Word says clearly, to be baptized for the remission of our sins? Why are we such hardheaded people? How many times will we be told and not listen, or worse, argue with God's prophets and baptizers? In the last days Elijah (who John the Baptist was seen as representing) will come preaching and teaching and many will be saved, cleansed. Hallelujah!

    When Torben says he doesn't believe in "baptismal regeneration" he means that he doesn't believe it in the way Catholics believe it - that baptism by itself will assure your eternal life. However, baptism does "regenerate" as it says in Titus 3:5 in giving a person a new life.

    • @TheLastReformation
      @TheLastReformation  5 месяцев назад +1

      Titus 3:5 explain the whole packet. What happens when we do acts 2:38……

    • @TheLastReformation
      @TheLastReformation  5 месяцев назад +3

      The book of Titus does not specifically mention baptism. However, baptism is a significant aspect of Christian faith and practice, and it is found in other parts of the New Testament, such as in the Gospels (Matthew 3:13-17, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22, John 3:22-23), the book of Acts (Acts 2:38, Acts 8:12-17, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:14-15), and the letters of the apostles (Romans 6:3-4, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12).
      While the book of Titus does not explicitly discuss baptism, the concept of baptism as cleansing from sin, and identification with Christ is foundational to Christian belief and is taught throughout the New Testament.

    • @bobthrasher8226
      @bobthrasher8226 5 месяцев назад

      @@TheLastReformationThe early church used the word "washing" to mean "baptism" in addition to the word "baptism." See Justin Martyr First Apology - 155 AD. So I think Paul could be specifically mentioning baptism in Tit 3:5 and Eph 5:26 when he uses the word "washing."

    • @bobthrasher8226
      @bobthrasher8226 5 месяцев назад

      Here is where Justin uses the word "washing" to refer to baptism. "I will also relate the manner in which we dedicated ourselves to God when we had been made new through Christ; lest, if we omit this, we seem to be unfair in the explanation we are making. As many as are persuaded and believe that what we teach and say is true, and undertake to be able to live accordingly, are instructed to pray and to entreat God with fasting, for the remission of their sins that are past, we praying and fasting with them. Then they are brought by us here there is water, and are regenerated in the same manner in which we were ourselves regenerated. For, in the name of God, the Father and Lord of the universe, and of our Savior Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Spirit, they then receive the washing with water. For Christ also said, “Except ye be born again, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Now, that it is impossible for those who have once been born to enter into their mothers’ wombs, is manifest to all. And how those who have sinned and repent shall escape their sins, is declared by Esaias the prophet, as I wrote above;131 he thus speaks: “Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from your souls; learn to do well; judge the fatherless, and plead for the widow: and come and let us reason together, saith the Lord. And though your sins be as scarlet, I will make them white like wool; and though they be as crimson, I will make them white as snow. But if ye refuse and rebel, the sword shall devour you: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.” And for this [rite] we have learned from the apostles this reason. Since at our birth we were born without our own knowledge or choice, by our parents coming together, and were brought up in bad habits and wicked training; in order that we may not remain the children of necessity and of ignorance, but may become the children of choice and knowledge, and may obtain in the water the remission of sins formerly committed, there is pronounced over him who chooses to be born again, and has repented of his sins, the name of God the Father and Lord of the universe; he who leads to the laver the person that is to be washed calling him by this name alone. For no one can utter the name of the ineffable God; and if any one dare to say that there is a name, he raves with a hopeless madness. And this washing is called illumination, because they who learn these things are illuminated in their understandings. And in the name of Jesus Christ, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and in the name of the Holy Ghost, who through the prophets foretold all things about Jesus, he who is illuminated is washed."

      @@georgemontgomery5438 I’m sorry, I didn’t want to offend you. I had the same experience, I was baptized 18 years old in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit, but as I was taught as an outward sign of something that had happened already.
      After many years I realized the real meaning of baptism after a conversation with Jehovas Witnesses that told me Romans 6,7 would say that all men would die and be resurrected again, because they have paid the price of death for their sin. I told them: but this is talking about baptism! And realized that I myself didn’t know that. So I studied the topic and was rebaptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of my sins. And I really felt that burdens were lifted from my shoulders after that.
      I still struggle with the next step, the infilling with the Holy Spirit. On one side God reveals so much to me in His word that I keep thinking, that can only be by the Spirit of the Lord, but on the other hand I didn’t experience the Holy Spirit in a way that I could tell people about. I just strongly believe God has more in store for all of us and I’m waiting eagerly on him for a new Pentecost.

      That's a good question to ask from ourselves: what sins am I repenting from? What about repenting from living for ourselves and doing our own thing for so long (selfishness, pride)? What about repenting from not loving God as He is worthy to be loved: with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength? What about repenting from not loving our neighbor as ourselves, even as Jesus has loved us. These are the greatest commandment of God. How great sin then it must be to break these? how worthy of damnation? What about asking God to reveal to us the great sinfulness of these sins, and then repenting and believing in Jesus Christ, that He will save us from all these sins and fill us with His Holy Spirit, so we might live for Him, as His own possession, forever submitting to Him as our Lord and our God. What about giving up that old selfish life to be put to death in baptism in Jesus' name? And be filled with His life, through receiving the gift, the Holy Spirit of God! God greatly bless you!

      Genesis 2:16 God established the law of sin leading to death. After this first sin, the first blood spilled was done by God when He killied an animal to clothe Adam and Eve, representing a blood covering.(Gen. 3:21) Life is in the blood because the price to redeem sin is death. But animal sacrifices could never permanently remove sin because animals, although innocent because they cannot sin, are not legally equal to humans, who have free will. The only blood that is worthy to permanently remove sin is from our kinsman redeemer, Jesus, who had free will but never sinned and so didn't deserve the penalty of death. Only His blood has the legal right to remove the stain of sin, the power of sin and the power of death from those who trust Him.

    One question I have Torben is, you mentioned Ephesians 5:26 which says: "...that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word (rema)," and you emphasize the water cleansing not just the word. My question then is, what sort of cleansing is Jesus referring to when He spoke to His disciples around the topic of the branches and pruning in John 15:3 where Jesus says: “You are already clean because of the word (logos) which I have spoken to you."?

      I see the water is what is cleansing. That is how it is written there.

    In all meekness and love.
    Please read the word “command” of our Lord and saviour Yahshua correctly! Many say there is no recipe in the bible on baptism, But there is and its the power of the word. The command of the word!
    Baptism in my humble understanding should be performed by immersion only as the word commands us to do.
    Affusion (la affusio) is not a method of baptism from the Bible where water is poured on the head of the person. The word "affusion" comes from the Latin affusio, meaning "to pour on". Affusion is not one of one and only method of baptism on the Bible, which is total immersion baptism and not partial immersion, or aspersion or sprinkling.
    The word Baptism comes from the Greek word (βαπτισμός), which means, baptismós “to immerse.” Baptism is a ceremony in which a Christian is immersed in water before the church to publically symbolize their belief in Christ. The water is a symbol of sin being washed away. Old life death new life resurrected.
    Matthew 28:19-20
    Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
    Matthew 3:13-17
    The Baptism of Jesus
    13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”
    15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented.
    16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
    Mark 1:9-13
    The Baptism and Testing of Jesus
    9 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11 And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
    12 At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, 13 and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.
    Corinthians 15:1-5
    The Resurrection of Christ
    15 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
    3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.
    Please take time to see correct translation or ask for help! Comment on this writing please. Thank you.

    If we study Acts, we will understand that baptism is done in the name of Jesus. Too many say that water baptism is in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as we read in Matthew, but the baptism in the Holy Spirit and in the Father are two different baptisms.
    Only Jesus died and rose again, not the Holy Spirit or the Father. Study all of Acts and discover that water baptism is in the name of Jesus and be blessed at this revelation.

    Brother you should look into the fact that the trinity was created by the roman catholic church in the 4th century. There is no where in the Bible that claims that there are three people. You are a father, a son, and a brother. Are you three people? The invisible God was manifest in the flesh. 1 Timothy 3:16 And the Holy Spirit is part of God. If the Holy Ghost were the third person which is God but is not the Father then does Jesus have two fathers because Matthew 1 says that the Holy Ghost impregnated Mary. The TRINITY is not in the Bible. It is a mystical/occultic doctrine created by the ungodly catholic church. The Goddess Diana is a trinity. There is a trinity in Hinduism. This comment probably won't convince you, but if you pray and look into it, maybe you will see this truth of the nature of God. He is the Father in creation. He is the son in redemption and the Holy Ghost in newness of life. One God manifest in three roles. Deuteronomy 6:4 You should pray and check it out.
