I have noticed the Security Guard/Greeter at the Liguanea Mother's too, very courteous, full a mannaz bad nah lie! Him fi big up himself freal! Good customer service is rare in Jamaica. Mother's keep up di good job too!

i kinda have to agree with the viewers also; that the lady and yourself have a great chemistry of just trying new things...going wit the flow of things...and being a compliment to you....now in my jamaican grandma slanguage 'it fit yuh'....she is a great on screen working partner for you....i don't know what her schedule looks like....can she fly to different places with you...what are her home responsibilities; but; all i know; she adds value to your vlogs....and she drives....and that alleviates you from cutting the camera...and allows you to continue working. So work out the contract; cause after all this is a business of island promotion....and sign on Rita ok Bob....

$20 for Tastee's patties when I was a kid. An old guy on a motorcycle used to sell them at Mico to us as kids.
So I imagine he got them cheaper than $20 to make a profit.
Cocoa bread for $10 more completed the experience.

I paid .75 for a party in school days, (am in my mid 40's) would get $2.50 for lunch, could buy 2 patty and a box juice and have little left for a snack on the way home😄 In Linstead it was Ken's patty shop and Tastee's that was the most popular.

The price you're paying is cheaper than what they charge out here in the US, Maryland to be exact. $2.50 avg price for a pattie. I remember them being $1 growing up in Brooklyn

Stephen the yellow and white plant at the Devon House Patty Shop entrance is called the Shrimp Plant. There are of different colours: burgundy, green-yellow and a variant red-orange. The patty there is more like a pyramid if you ask me. Jilli don't even know how to tackle it to eat it. What at thing? I like how she clap it down though. She don't play with food😄😄😄

The 1st time I had a Tastee patty I was hooked ie 1971. Only Bruce's (Cross Rd) came close. I think they went out f buz soon after Tastee opened.

I use to love Patties and u always get one at lunchtime. I can remember it filled me up. Nowadays they are not the same and you can barely see the meat/fillings.

I've had meat patties multiple times while in Jamaica, back home at Jamaican restaurants, and made them myself. First one I had was free, mainly given it with a "try this!" lol. But funniest memory I have is a family trip we had and on shuttle back to airport some other family in the bus while passing a patty place went "Oh, we never got around to trying one, we never have had one!", which my family and the driver went "WHAT!". Driver then went "You have not visited Jamaica unless you have had one, I'm stopping at my favorite place, it's on the way!".
