Aerondight has a default level of 35 id suggest going for it at lvl 33 or 34, i got mine at lvl 27 and was disappointed that id have to wait for another 8 lvls b4 i could use it lol iv noticed that when u get a scaling weapon while 2 or more lvls higher than its base lvl it never catches up to ur lvl and always remains 2 lvls below, at least it does in a normal game as i have not ventured into NG+ as of yet
Thanks you for the information, currently at level 13 and I definitely do this guide if I don't know there are levels limit to use the weapon.

I’m level 8 what level should I be to get this sword I was level 4 when I did of swords and dumplings so I can handle level gaps but can I get it right away
At that level you should be doing the early areas of the game. I would say if you're reaching level 30 or above it is time to go and get this sword.
I didn't get the child to deliver me a letter is it because I took a different route while returning to the dutchess? What should I do now?
The route should not be the reason imo. I was dating Yen, another reason could be you were not involved with Yen or Triss. Also, You can show generosity virtue by doing another quest. Obviously this is not as straightforward as in the video then, but you should keep an eye out.

@@_dexxy Whole main quest of B and W? No, I dont think so. The B&W is basically a game of its own, you can simply do any 1 quest for each virtues.

Don't worry there are plenty of other quests to prove your virtues (generosity, valor, etc). There is a wikipedia page listing all of the quests and their respective virtues. If you have an earlier save I'd honestly use that as it would give you access to the sword faster.

do you have to go to the hermit first? like before doing the sidequests? then go back to the hermit or do i do the sidequests before ever metting the hermit?

There are no location specific virtues that I recall. The hermit is always in that mentioned location where you confront them and then get the sword (this should be the final task).

No, all of the activities you perform will give you a virtue (like generosity, etc.). There are other quests you can do to get the same virtue, however, it will not be the fastest way to get the sword.

I made this after finishing the game but when I recorded the steps, probably 60 plus.
@@rpgbro386 did a differnt Quest path with sidequests/contracts but now Im stuck at the hermit fight. He oneshots me at level 26.
@@Gurkenpudding On second level (which is normal difficulty) I'd recommend level 40 or at least 35 plus. Since my friend beat Dettlaff at 40+. Also, you could look up some cheese strats for this fight.
@@rpgbro386 thank you. i wanted to get the sword as early as possible so i'll try it again and again to beat the hermit. It isn't fun but more like darksouls torture. I would say its possible to beat the Hermit at Level 26 on 2nd difficultly (Feline Armour + Swords). I managed to fulfil Quest at recomended level 43 on first try so i guess its possible.
for other people who try this: always Quen, dodging, thunder, humanoid oil (?), ... - use your full inventory including bombs. Keep him busy, stay near, 2-3 hits and dodging.

you have to lift a curse wyte when you’re sitting at the table don’t choose any options with the spoons. Choose don’t use spoon.

@@madmax-xq3zc Do you have an earlier save? Also, there are two chances to prove honor virtue in that quest did you fail both? One is to participate as Geralt and second to keep Vivienne's secret. Valor can be proven again in A Knight's tale quest (help Witch of Lynx Crag lift the curse) and you can also do the quest titled "Feet as Cold as Ice" make sure to kill Grottore. There are plenty of opportunities to do valor tbh, but the more direct approach is to do them both in the same quest like I did, it's faster.

@@madmax-xq3zc Outside of any mods or console commands, I think it may be too late. Though, If you have a save you can load it and try.
Can i prove generosity in different way than paying the kid or bootblack?
For sure, there are many different ways. It just won't be quicker as here, we gain other virtues on the way and don't have to run around. Try the quest "A Portrait of the Witcher as an Old Man" and buy the painting. Also, look into "Mutual of Beauclair's Wild Kingdom " check the wiki it can give you two virtues (generosity too) and it is a side quest.

There maybe other quests for the same virtue. But you should always have a backup save, there even maybe an autosave at your last fast-travel.

I fucked up honor in my third play through!!!! Is there another way to get it???
If you have multiple saves yes. I would advise buying this game on STEAM/PC anyway since it makes it really easier to get everything and try everything (especially if you're doing second playthrough).
@@rpgbro386 On PS5 you can also make all the saves you want, but I didn’t saved before the missions on my third play through and wanted to choose other dialogs to change the experience and that result in losing my third chance of having the Aerondight!!!
I used it in my first and second run of the game and enjoyed it a lot, so it’s fine not using it this time!!!

@@JavierArochoVega Np. But just to be clear I'm talking about Save Imports that are possible on PC and save editor. Both are not possible on PS5/4 or Xbox Series X. It makes it really easy to see all of the places (like Church of the Eternal fire etc.) and experience all the endings, scenarios.

I'm late but sparing the beast is not necessary nor is any of the other choices in this video. The game gives you opportunities to show these virtues. I got Aerondight by accident because I went to follow a side quest and I wasn't aware the hermit quest gave it to you. The Lady of the Lake acknowledged that I've already completed the virtues and I didn't have to return to the spot. This was before I even did some of these quests

No it is not gg yet. Watch from 2:00 Load an earlier save and just keep Vivienne's secret. Also, subscribe to my channel it it helps.

Well yes and no, you may not get the sword early and with ease. Try finding other quests that prove compassion.
I’m pretty sure helping the wight overcome the curse counts as compassion
Also checked and helping the wight counts as a wisdom virtue also

@@KXYNGZEUS I think there are a few more quests for the generosity virtue problem is you can't get them straight and easy. Mutual of Beauclair's Wild Kingdom - Let the basilisk live, Beyond Hill and Dale - buy ribbon for 500 or get the Shoeshined for 500. All the generosity quests are on the wiki. Good luck.
