I'm back at BJ's Wholesale for past 2 of the epic grocery haul. I was honestly blown away at the grocery items they had, so many really cool Bobby Approved items, many of which Costco does not have!

BJs puts their grass-fed beef on sale A LOT. You just need the coupons you get from their app.
Cafe Bustelo is Cuban coffee. There are three big ones in South Florida: Pilon, Cafe Bustelo, and La Llave.
None of those coffee’s are organic and they don’t say where the bean is cultivated which is a red flag 🚩

Exactly! That’s what I do after I open the jar. I freeze it in quart size bags; take all the air out and lay flat on the freezer shelf for better storage and faster defrost or you could break off a chunk if you are not going to use the whole bag. They go on sale pretty often 👍

I know during the early part of the pandemic they had stop due to know hand to hand contact and someone would have to retrieve it from the drawer but a few months now they have started back accepting the manufacturer’s coupon and the store coupon for the same item.
@@svetlaencheva6382 I think with manufacturer's coupons if there is a coupon/discount, it shows on the shelf, while BJ's coupons require either a paper coupon or for the member to have "clipped" the coupon in the mobile app.

Nellie's eggs are organic. Not only that but they had deeper colored yolks than Wegman's pastured eggs.

I wish someone would actually do a nutritional test on different egg brands because I wonder if the Nellies aren’t more nutritious than some pasture raised brands based on the fact that they are so much yellower

Our Costco in AL just started selling grass fed beef in the freezer section in the tubes. I just noticed it last week.

Hi Bobby and Brad, The mixed nuts is delicious. I do buy the Verde farms ground beef. They also have fillet mignon from Verde farms 100% grassfed. I tried the skinny pasta. They have a light fishy smell so I rinse with cold water and let it sit in cold water and vinegar before I cook and season (italian seasoning) them. I eat the whole pouch for 18 calories 😋 . I'm looking forward for a part 3. Don't forget the frozen aisles. Also, download their app. They have amazing coupons on there.

Good to see you doing some BJ's reviews. We have been BJ's members since they opened here in 1999. Costco only moved in a couple years ago and I did not join until hearing they had toilet paper during the Great TP Crisis. I ran in and joined just for toilet paper! Honestly, if I had to choose between the two, I would keep my BJ's membership. It is far more friendly to a small family, and it's just the two of us now. For example I can buy four big beautiful bell peppers at BJ's, but at Costco you have to buy six and they'd go bad. Same with most of the produce at Costco, it comes in huge containers. You can also buy smaller quantities of high quality meats, fish and poultry at BJ's. At Costco you're stuck having to buy a whole side of beef, practically, or three chickens packaged together. Maybe good for a big family. At BJ's I have the option of buying one roasting chicken or a pack of two or three nice steaks. In some cases BJ's can be a bit more expensive but they have great specials and coupons. I find that BJ's is better stocked on produce, paper products and cleaning supplies, too.
Thanks for the video Bobby. Skinny Pasta used to be one of my favorite noodle substitutes but not now that it's joined the konjac/oat fiber bandwagon. Oat fiber probably makes the product less expensive to produce but my experience with a previous brand using a konjac/oat fiber blend is that over time in the frig the konjac/oat fiber noodles disintegrates, whereas the konjac sans oat fiber noodles maintain their integrity for months. Digging a konjac/oat fiber packet from the back of the frig and cutting the pack open, I got mush, not noodles. I hope Skinny Pasta goes back to their old recipe but they probably won't. Most people probably don't dig out packs of noodles from the back of their frig after months but I rely on my food still being edible after the expiration date.
Started using Rao's a while back and have found myself going back to Ragu. Ragu is close to the sauce I make from scratch and in my opinion tastes better than Rao's. Ragu is also cheaper.
Most butchers will recommend grain fed beef over grass fed. I worked on an Angus farm and all their steers were fed grain mixed with molasses.

Bought the Rao's today at my BJ's in Queens and it was $9.99! The Verde had a $2 off coupon. I go at 8 am and today it was busy because we are expecting 3 -4 days of snow, so there were 15 people when the store opened.

Sorry Boby, but Cuban coffee is the bomb. Café Bustelo is one staple in any Cuban kitchen. My favorite is Pilón. It’s basically an espresso shot done in an old fashion espresso coffee maker.

Steve at Serious Keto did a review of "noodles" and found that Healthy Noodle sold at midwestern Costcos was the best. I hope they go nationwide! We tried the Skinny Pasta at BJ's and it was meh.
If there is a Lidl near you, please do a video there! It's the sister store to Aldi and is the BEST place for 100% grass fed beef!
Yeah, I wouldn't believe any labeling from Walmart. I rather spend a little more on grass fed beef from BJ's than Walmart.
Cafe Bustelo is ground coffee from NY inspired by Latin roots; people think its origin is from Cuba but that's because it is very popular in Latin communities. It's delicious and makes great expressos. It's robust and has no additives; highly recommend people try it.

Not all BJ's carry the same products. Check out the website. I often have to order items that are in store one day and online only the next. I don't have a Costco where I live yet, and I refuse to support the Walton family so BJ's is our only option for warehouse stores.

They run $ 2 to 3 off coupons on the verdes grass fed meat regularly as on many of the other items you have been showing. You can go on their website and open an account and then load all active coupons on your card so they automatically are taken off when you purchase the item.

Bustelo is popular in Hispanic homes. It’s espresso ground coffee so you can make Cuban coffee like espresso. Puerto Rican’s we make regular coffee cups with Bustelo. It’s strong and amazing. They do make an instant version but I don’t like it.

I would love to see you explore The Fresh Market and perhaps do an ethnic food stores tour. There is a nice Italian foods market (Doris') and the Russian & International Foods Market (which has some Bulgarian items as well usually) both in Boca. Finding healthy items for specific cuisines can sometimes be quite tricky.

The grass fed beef price is not too cheap, but for fairness sake I have to say that BJ's regularly issues coupons for those ($2 off). So, that would bring the price to about $5.35 instead of $6. We have tried the ground beef from Aldi, which was alright (I think it was like $5 per pound), but overall the BJ's one seems to be pretty good.
Overall, having been a Costco member for a few years, then a BJ's member for the last few years I can say this much (mind you, that I don't typically shop 80% of the things reviewed in this video). In a way they are like 6 or 1/2 dozen, but Costco has a better in-house brand. Berkley-Jensen is a pretty good alternative to major brands for its price, but with Kirkland I think it doesn't even need the caveat of lower price, it's just good. For me personally it came down to factors outside of the products themselves, such as store hours and location. All Costco's in my area (NYC) are within the metropolitan area and as a rule, always crowded. Same is true for BJs, but they have locations farther outside of the city, where I like to shop on the weekends. The warehouse I shop at is never crowded and offers a much more laid back, relaxed shopping experience. That being said, when it comes to membership-related services, Costco seems to be more flexible. For example, I had to return something that I had purchased the day before, and they just took it back scanning my membership card. When I had the same situation at BJ's, they insisted on the paper receipt to be able to confirm the purchase and make the exchange/return. Those were one off occurrences for me, though, so, not a huge deal breaker one way or another.
