    ARs have aluminum receivers & the front sight base is also the gas block which gets hot.

    Great video and very good tips. What cloth did you use for wrapping the gun? And did it come in strips or did you have to cut it? What did you do to age the cloth and what did you use to stick it to the gun. Thank you very much.

      The cloth is a canvas drop cloth that I stained with brown leather dye diluted in water and tore into strips. I used Barge cement to glue it all together. Thanks for watching!

      @@BlackfingerGarage Thank you very much for the tips. Im going to bring my mini bike to Wastland 2022 and I want to wrap the frame like that, and do my guns too. You did a great job and your guns look very cool. Thanks again.
