- South Africa is facing a conservation crisis. National parks and private game reserves are a key part of the country’s tourism industry, which accounts for 7% of its GDP and employs over 1.5 million people. As countries around the world implemented covid lockdowns and travel restrictions, this vital source of revenue was cut off, threatening conservation efforts, including the ability to combat the global illegal poaching industry.

Really proud of the work done by these men and women to protect the precious wild life. Imagine the horror of them going extinct because of human greed
The white Rhino went extinct.
I wish poachers would face tougher sentences
Hunting poachers should be legal
Their just trying to feed their families
@@nikolaievans2432 no excuse to commit a crime
I 100% agree.
@@nikolaievans2432 yes, some of them are but you’d be surprised at how poaching and Islamic terrorist groups are linked together.
My dream job would be to hunt poachers. Seriously !!!!!

Some species are are more common than others, but the individual animal , whether it’s a rhino or a cow has the same capacity to feel pain have and all the emotions that you have , it’s hard to find an upside to the extinction of certain species, but maybe one will be that the individuals no longer suffer.
@@feelingmoovey6318 its simply bad for the food chain which is bad for us. Eventually at this rate we will soon run out of things to kill and need to eat each other.
I have a dream and compulsion to undam rivers
I also dream to do that, hopefully when I turn 18 I’ll go for an anti poaching training course

Am not attacking here am just
Simply pointing out that when i
Travel abroad ppl assume am
Atomatically poor because am from
South Africa .
@Xhosa King 😂, trust when I say this isn’t because of a lack of education. Let’s talk about how y’all treat women, and the fact that white South Africans hold a majority of the wealth.
Not to offend. These people literally do the work. They said people living around the parks are poor. What are u talking about? Majority of South Africans remain poor and or unemployed.
I mean u want them to lie? There is alot of proverty in south aftica
Humans are soooo evil. Its soo sad to see that humans wont even leave animals alone 🥺😭
In China, they cram thousands of wildlife just so they can eat it later on.
Wow what a good piece!!!
Keep up the Great work

Poachers are probably among the few in Africa that are not living in absolute poverty. Can you blame them for hunting animals any way they can? How is it inhumane to kill a rhino, but it's fine to hunt a deer? If there is wasted meat, then address that issue. If they treat animals with cruel trapping practices, then address that issue separately. But don't forbid a people, especially poor populations, from hunting indigenous animals. It makes as little sense as telling Inuits to stop hunting seal.
We've got ourselves a poacher here,boys
Among the few in Africa who are not poor? African countries have very diverse economies. Hunting is an insignificant part of the economy of some countries like South Africa.
@@listpost Not a poacher, just someone willing to think this through with logic. I'm open to hearing counterarguments.
@@abesapien9930 majority of south africa is not broke lmao, majority of us are lower middle or middle class. Im broke though lmao
