Robert Cartwright, That is great!! I finished radiation last March for breast cancer, too. Hope your wife is doing as well as I am, and tell her, I'm a little jealous she scored a Kenny Loggins concert! I got bupkis! Lol, just kidding, I got my life, that's pretty cool, too! Kenny Loggins has one of the most amazing voices. I've been listening to him from when I was only 20 years old. I am now 72 and I still love his voice.
One of my all time favorite songs!!! Kenny Loggins & Michael McDonald are gold! Kenny wrote this for his father who was ill & battling a life/death situation to inspire him to fight knowing survival is ultimately having a made up mind to fight!
Love you, son. This was not a love song, but a life song to Kenny's father who was going through vascular medical issues. He was telling his dad to take it seriously and live on.

Kenny's vocals are amazing - one of the best of that era. His first solo album was Celebrate Me Home and there you can hear actual melodies (like this song), great song-writing skills and of course, more fantastic singing. While songs like Footloose (made for a movie soundtrack) were popular, he shows more than just singing ability in other lesser known songs. His popularity started with his music partner Jim Messina as Loggins & Messina which was great but once that partnership dissolved, the Celebrate Me Home album came out and in that album he was somewhat on a par with my absolute favorite, Stevie Wonder. Thanks for your reactions and for featuring This Is It - great song full of soul.
Yes, Kenny Loggins in We are the World. Please react to the following songs from him Footloose, Danger Zone Meet Me Halfway and his duet with Stevie Nicks, Whenever I Call You Friend
SO many great Kenny Loggins songs. Originally in a duo called Loggins and Messina, which is also worth checking out. Danny's Song, House at Pooh Corner, Your Mama Don't Dance, Angry Eyes.
