I just wanna put some respect to the legend David Foster on piano. The man is a musician, composer, arranger, record producer and major music executive. He has won 16 Grammy Awards from 47 nominations. His influence & list of collaborations is never ending. He's either played on a track, written it, produced it, or been the one to sign the artist. ALWAYS a pleasure to see him playing music in videos. ❤✌🎵
I hear ya. But I have a love/hate thing re Foster. I like a lot of what he's done, especially his version of Carol of the Bells on his Christmas album. When that song comes on in the car, we blast it, and my husband and I are instantly conducting the orchestra!. And he has all the accomplishments listed above, as well. The "hate" part comes in when we get to the band Chicago; the band's sound was already beginning to change before Foster entered the picture, and the loss of Terry Kath only exacerbated the change, but David Foster's influence and drive toward "pop" hits was the final straw. It makes me sad (although I still love Chicago).
I was at a party in laguna beach some years ago and Kenny logins was there. He started singing and OMG, he sounded so amazing just singing a capella and I thought “this man is in a league of his own.” He still sounds as good.
Michael has one of the most recognizable voices in the business. One or two bars of even him doing background vocal & it's like "Wait, that was Michael!" 🎵✌❤
You can still catch Michael in a little town just outside of Nashville called Leipers Fork. MIke and his wife, singer, Amy Holland perform from time to time.
OMG.. DAVID FOSTER THOUGH WITH SOME WOMEN CHEES THEM AND SPITS THEM OUT. SO MUSICAL OK .. BUT HOW HE HURTS AND CHEATS NO RESPECT. LOOK IT UP HE IS NO GOOD. ALL WOMAN STAY AWAY.
Kenny Loggins is the love of my life, lol. In all seriousness, he’s one of the best singer song writers of all time! A real humanitarian. I’m so glad you reacted to this! The first time I saw this concert, I was blown away!
To quote you….”love you’ all”. Reliving our youth. We OGs have breathed some fresh (old)air. You have no idea what you and yours have done for us. We love you’all
It is being made, but not being in the spotlight of where the big money is funneled. Popular is another question. I'd say "who cares if it's popular?" It's just as good, in the ears. Am I right?
The talent on that stage, David Foster, Michael McDonald, and Kenny Loggins. If I had tickets to that show, you couldn't offer me enough money to give them up.
Man, your reactions are the best! Especially when you’re talking about Michael McDonald, Ambrosia, the rest of the greatest. Anyway, more power and greetings from the PH 🇵🇭
Back when people listened to the radio, these songs were the background soundtrack of our lives..the Ojays, Kenny Rogers, the doobie bros etc...everyone has that
"Heart to Heart" Kenny Loggins (audio version). You get Kenny in his prime, (his performance is unbelievable), Michael, AND you also get the GREAT David Sanborn on alto sax !!
Got to see all these guys live… back in the day. So happy to have been around through the great music of the 60s-70s-80s. Got to see so many amazingly talented singers/song writers. NO AUTOTUNE!! Just great singing and performing!!
Wow! Kenny, Michael, and the legendary David Foster. A group of the most talented musicians, singers, and songwriters of the 80's. Jamal - you're awesome! Love from Canada!
Everyone should watch the series of Yacht Rock videos. They're a fictional mockumentary about Michael McDonald & Kenny Loggins. The first episode tees up a song-writing battle between them and Hall & Oates. I believe Christopher Cross also makes an appearance in one of the episodes. It's super silly and cheesy, but surprisingly well done.
DAMN!!!! David Foster on piano? He did some phenomenal work with Whitney, Celine Dion and so many others. I was surprised to see him there. What a trip.
If you want more Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald live find the Live From the Redwoods (I think that’s the name.) concert recording/video. A crazy good musical performance by great musicians.
Kenny!!! One of my favorite male vocalists and still sounds awesome! Heart to Heart is my guilty pleasure on repeat song while driving alone lol. That falsetto melts me every time!!! 👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Thank you this was outstanding!!
MM's voice is unmistakable. In my top 10 favorite males voices. Excellent range, nice vibrato, and great tone. I think "I Keep Forgetting" is my fave of his.
Kenny does a segment with his original partner Jim Messina on this show. You already reacted to Angry Eyes (thank you) so you should Do "Vahevala" from this same show!
Finally glad I got to see both Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald (with the Doobie Bros) each in concert in 2021. Both amazing shows. Grew up with hard rock in my youth and never gave this music a chance, but now in my older age I can absolutely say they rock!
I love this my mom used to play Kenny logins and Michael McDonald all the time when I was growing up. Love these songs brings back a lot of memories! 💜🙂
And Why no one had a camera to capture Stevie nicks and Kenny Loggins tearing it up on , whenever I Call you Friend, is a crime! Both in the prime of life in 1976! A Land Mark in music history!
David Foster wrote a song for Boz Skaggs called "Love look what you've done to me". You've got to do that 1, there is a live version from I think the same concert or one like it.
Also, that song was showcased in the movie "Urban Cowboy", full of great tunes (including the ever-popular "Devil Went Down to Georgia" with Charlie Daniels)
David Foster ( on piano) wrote great R&B hits like After the Love Has Gone for Earth Wind and Fire. He co-wrote Heart to Heart with Kenny. Kenny and Mike co-wrote the next two songs together. This is from one of Foster’s specials where he showcases all of his collaborations!
Not bad for two "well-seasoned" guys. Straight back to the 70's. Up and dancin' (nope. Not a pleasant sight. Ha!) Thank you so much for finding this. And so happy that you appreciate it.
The arrangement on Heart To Heart is impressive. The way the vocal parts of the background singers and the different band members weave in and out throughout the song is stellar. Add Michael McDonald to the mix and it really can’t get better.
thank you so much for bringing a smile back to me by your reacting to this wonderful video. ☺️ Perfection and Classy of these beautiful people 💜 hugs 🤗 💜💜💜💜💜
Jamal, I am so glad that I have found your channel! I am a flower child of the 70's and It warms my heart and soul realizing that you have brought back this wonderful music of the 60's, 70's, 80's...God Bless You Jamal:)
I love them both, but Michael McDonald is on my bucket list. I love his voice!!! The Legendary David Foster on keys is icing on the cake. He's on wife #5 & married Katherine McPhee in 2019 & has a toddler now. It seems to keep him young. His resume' is Outstanding for so many artists!
Kenny also did the song Danger Zone for the movie Top Gun,and there's a song a song with Kenny, Michael and Steve Perry, but I can't think of the song please try to find it, and it was live. Much love to you and your family.
Rockin’ the Yacht Jamal!!! Cruisin’ and Soothin’ smooth sails on the seas of ease!!! And the shores of Love and high tides of romance! Ur my fave Jamal!! Happy holidays and Merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year!!!
This was awesome and the collaboration smooth. I must say that the guitarist in What A Fool Believes killed it! Killed it! Oh man! Awesome all around they so show up and show out!
If you haven't heard of the Dukes of September, look them up on RUclips. Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald, and Boz Scaggs. They toured together ten or so years ago. You will love it!
"This is it", was the "theme song" of one of the Lakers' NBA championships ('79?). Jim Hill can tell you. These three songs, have been with me via, cassette, iPod, & MP3 since the 80's. ****Old G in the IE.
Michael McDonald has the most unique, recognizable voice ever. Most singers vocal range seems to falter with age, his just seems to get better, it’s crazy.

Meet Me Halfway and Forever by Kenny Loggins
Hey Jamel, can you react to What a fool believes by Aretha Franklin please man.
You gotta react to Kenny loggins , nobody's fool and meet me halfway !!!! Amazing songs
I just wanna put some respect to the legend David Foster on piano. The man is a musician, composer, arranger, record producer and major music executive. David Foster also cowrote with Kenny my favorite Kenny Loggins song, Forever. A true masterpiece written over dinner between two friends .
Couldn't agree with you more Jenifer!
And he wrote one of my fave Earth WInd & Fire songs, "After the Love Has Gone".
I hear ya. But I have a love/hate thing re Foster. I like a lot of what he's done, especially his version of Carol of the Bells on his Christmas album. I really love how these two singers have kept their voices!
I was at a party in laguna beach some years ago and Kenny logins was there. He started singing and OMG, he sounded so amazing just singing a capella and I thought “this man is in a league of his own.” He still sounds as good.
He is one of the best vocalists ever!
@@joelliebler5690 I agree. I cannot believe his upper vocal register is still so perfect.
His voice still sounds like when he was in Loggins and Messina back in the early 70s.
Michael has one of the most recognizable voices in the business. One or two bars of even him doing background vocal & it's like "Wait, that was Michael!" 🎵✌❤
Definitely. His and Barry Gibb.

Keep rockin' Debbie!
This was way fun. I've heard these songs hundreds of times, yet these live performances really brought out their spirit of the music.
So thankful I grew up during a great era of music (70's-80')
Best 2 decades for pop and rock music.
So Am I birth year 1957
Can someone please tell why music like this isn’t popular today and still being made.
It is being made, but not being in the spotlight of where the big money is funneled. Popular is another question.
I'd say "who cares if it's popular?" It's just as good, in the ears. Am I right?
I love this ❤️. Micheal McDonald and Kenny loggings! Two legends together doing what they do best🔥🔥🔥
The talent on that stage, David Foster, Michael McDonald, and Kenny Loggins. If I had tickets to that show, you couldn't offer me enough money to give them up.
Two legends! Their voices still sound so great. Loved this reaction.
"This is It" was used for several years as the opening song for the NCAA Basketball Championship. Great song!!
Michael McDonald and Patti Labelle awesome duet in "On My Own" official video is best.
