The sax player is none other than the great David Sanborn. Richard Page on backing vocals who became the singer of Mr. Mister. Of course, Michael McDonald on vocal and your favorite instrument, the Fender Rhodes. Also, the great Canadian composer David Foster with too many credentials to list. Glad you enjoyed this one Harri. 👍✌👋
Kenny Loggins shows off his tremendous range on his voice, David Foster helped out and David Sanborn was on the sax. This was a top 40 hit early 1983 in the US
Before this album, Loggins and McDonald wrote This Is It and What a Fool Believes. This song is from the Kenny Loggins album High Adventure. Written by Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald and David Foster. Produced by Loggins and Bruce Botnick. Michael McDonald appears again as co-writer and performer in I Gotta Try and Only a Miracle. Steve Perry appears in the song Don't Fight It, written by him, Loggins and Dean Pitchford. All-star band members: Marty Paich, Paulinho da Costa, Lenny Castro, David Sanborn, and future Mr. Mister founders Richard Page and Steve George. 2 years later (40 years ago), Loggins and Pitchford would write the title song Footloose.
First saw Loggins in '78 when he had just gone solo. Firefall opened for him. One of the best shows I have ever seen. "Outside: From The Redwoods" is money. Wonderful song and reaction -- thank you, Imadrummin and Harri!
I truly enjoy Mr. Loggins music. The whole Leap of Faith album is fantistic. He was more recognized in the 70's, 80s, and 90's he is such a great singer and song writer. I liked your reactions and I also live with music every day. You seem to be a very caring person, continue doing this. 👍🎤🎶🫶👩🦳🎵👋
Kenny Loggins had a brilliant voice. I thoroughly enjoyed most of his stuff. Which is hard to say when you’re talking about just one person or band. Most bands will come out with a couple of good songs and then others that you are not too keen on whereas he was just brilliant. The song he did for Top Gun was (and this is my guilty pleasure so I am allowed to have it) LOL. Was danger zone by Kenny Loggins. This song just makes you want to get up and dance. I might be wrong but I think he did the song footloose for the movie of the same name. I’m not too sure please anybody out there correct me if I’m wrong. Take care of yourself Harri. Please keep up the great work and blessings to you.
I had the same reaction to his vocals. When he went solo after loggind and messina i remember thinking, where did this voice come from. Hes one of my favorite singers ever.
Love Kenny Loggins, he is so gifted and his lyrics are beautiful (must be the country in him)lol. Kenny's vocals can't be beat, you know him when you hear him. I hope you think about listening to his album Full Sail with Jim Messina, it's one to lay back and let it take you on an experience you won't regret. Thanks Harri 👍❤️ Note: David Sanborn played the sax.🍬
Wow. Talk about jogging some fond memories of my youth. This song really captures some glorious moments. I've been a huge Loggins and McDonald fan from the start.
Oh I loooove this song! It’s my guilty pleasure and I can listen on repeat. I’ll sing (terribly) in the car lol 😂 I love Kenny’s voice. His falsetto here is 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Great reaction.
I grew up during the yacht rock era and I grew up in Miami, so yacht rock was everything in Miami. This is till this day one of my favorite songs ever.
