Great videos brother. I do have to comment about the tuner not having the overboost protection/lean cut. Gotta pay attention to the wideband at all times because regardless of whether the overboost protection was on or not, the job of the wideband is to tell you when to let off and stop the pull. Anyway, good stuff tho! Awesome content.
Those are the breaks. I'd build your engine with a stock 5.3 crank and a set of forged rods and pistons. You could turn the boost up without worrying about it. A set of head studs would be even better.
Definitely don’t go back to that guy of a tuner, he didn’t give you the training wheels tune, cause you need to feel out the build bad on the tuner for “sending it” on another persons dime my opinion
I have 2 tune for it. I wasn’t on the low boost tune. I definitely already got the hang of it the first day of driving it. Had nothing to do with training wheels or anything.. my over boost and lean cut wasn’t turn on.. which tuner definitely should have did On the controller. But after boost leak was fixed. Truck went lean.
Be sure to gap your rings accordingly this time.

Gap the Ring top ring at 26 and bottom 28…. I’d pay the extra money for a 6.0L personally…. But a 5.3 is going to give you some ommmph.
