You should definitely gap the rings! Especially if the motor only had 90k

Not worried about it as I’m just going for low boost. Motor will be back out over winter for forge internals

Not looking for a 800hp truck. Just want my truck on the road. Plenty of builds on the forum and YT with no ring gap making 700hp+. It’s all in the tune. I’m not looking for anything more than 650hp. Next winter motor coming back out for forge internal. The 5.3 had ring gap and still broke a ring land due to bad tune.

If you watched the previous video rings were gapped on the 5.3 like i said in the video. You need to understand the truck was tuned by a Honda shop after i sold the truck. I bout the truck back with a hurt motor and 7k cheaper than i sold it. The 4.8 motor blew do too much timing. After i put the 5.3 in it. I drove the truck for months without getting into wot and sold it. I’m well aware of ring gap. Also I’m not looking for a 1k hp truck. I’m fine with 600hp rn. Motor most likely coming back out over the winter for forge internals.
