    Ram speed is limited by the cpu's built in memory controller, not the motherboard or how many sticks of ram are used. Cheers

      It is a combination of both but you are right that the cpu's built in memory controller is the primary factor on zen 4. The number of sticks absolutely impacts the max memory speed as indicated by AMD themselves here under max memory speed: www.amd.com/en/products/processors/desktops/ryzen/amd-ryzen-7-7700x.html.
