I just have to comment. i drove a 2012 wrangler until 2021, it got totaled after i got hit head on by a drunk driver. i almost died and the emts said that if i wasn’t in a jeep i might have actually been dead. after that i spent the cash and i got a 2021 wrangler sport 2 door and it is my favorite car in the entire world. a jeep saved my life so i might be biased.
On a recent trip to Arizona I rented a wrangler from Vegas and drove to Havasu and the Grand Canyon for the week. It had the turbo 4 cyl.. I was impressed to say the least with the speed and power of the little motor. Plus we averaged close to 27 mph for the week. I had no problems at intestate speed, I’m talking 80 mph in a wrangler of all things with plenty of power on tap. I only wonder about longevity with all that power packed into a small block. Time will tell I guess. It’s not a 4.0
My bestie has a manual wrangler and we took it on a fairly tough trail last year, we eventually had to let it cool down for a bit because a clutch too hot warning came up. Even she admits she should have gotten an automatic wrangler for ease when going slow on trails.
I daily drive a Wrangler with the 3.6L Pentastar which has slightly more HP (285 vs 270) but less torque (260 vs 295). I came from an AWD GMC terrain with the 2.4L naturally aspirated 4 banger with like 170 hp. The Wrangler is so quick compared to what I was used to.
I am falling in love with lamborghini aventador svj roadster with the gintani f1 exhaust and fuego flame tune pops & crackle and put on corsa mode you should recommend driving this beautiful sweetheart v12 supercar by an amazing loud gintani f1 exhaust with pops & crackle loud flames is such a beautiful ultimate Italian supercar driving my dream car both day pov and night pov.
A '90s Wrangler was one of the worst vehicles I ever drove. Was expecting amusingly terrible, but didn't receiving the amusing. This seems significantly better in every way. I drive the same roads with fairly low profile tires on cars with more performance suspension (though OEM or close to it) and here's what I think must be the secret because I can't figure another explanation to my 900k miles of never needing to replace tires or wheels and only needing alignments in the very rare event that a front end part is replaced (like, 180k+ miles rare) regardless of pot holes or other bad road conditions: don't brake on the bumps and try to hit them with the wheel as straight as possible. Brake before impact, lift for the hit, then brake again. I started doing this out of a sense of mechanical sympathy and because it reduced wheel lock up (no ABS back then). I shouldn't need to qualify that you don't risk hitting the vehicle in front to do this, but this is the internet. Anyway, I think braking momentarily locks the wheel(s) as they leave the ground when they enter the hole, leaving the full force of the subsequent impact to concentrate on a single spot whereas allowing the wheel to continue rolling reduces that peak load by redirecting some of it at an angle with the rotation. I imagine that reducing the weight on the wheels slightly by coming off the brake contributes as well. I even drove a Focus ST over an island in an emergency and just scuffed the undersides of the skirts on the curbs. Also, get the smaller wheel packages. I don't do anything with a sidewall under 90mm.
Yeah, the one it sounds like you drove was a 95 or before wrangler. The first generation, with leafsprings. Of course it wasn't nice. It was a utility vehicle.
@@FreeRangeLemon I think it was a 97. Maybe it was older, but I'm pretty sure it had the round headlights. I expected a bit agricultural and old fashioned feeling, but I got something significantly less refined and archaic driving than a '38 Plymouth I'm familiar with. And it ate fuel like a '60s big block. Definitely not my thing.

Will this jeep fit a mountain bike?
I love how they put the ZF 8 speed in this. It makes it so much more tempting to use it as a daily
Yup, ZF8 is great. Comfy as daily and still can do offroading

We're in a time where we call a volume knob a feature.

I rented one of these in Tennessee and the wind noise made me want to die. But the little 2.0 motor hauls.
I drove a 2002 wrangler in high school. It was an under 40mph vehicle. Anything over that was…an adventure 😂
Same power train as my Giulia TI only slightly detuned. It’s been fun in my car.

I'm not an off-road guy, but even I can appreciate what Jeep has done here. Not to mention that the modifications are 👌
Whoever wins that beauty, you're very lucky.

The 2.0T has a ton of torque
306 lb ft stock in my giulia. It’s plenty in my car and the stelvios I’ve driven.
I just bought a 2d black 2022 wrangler. At first I was sad because I thought it was gonna be 3.6 but I’m very very happy with 2.0 turbo
"It is the polite thing to do, to wave to other Jeeps." Tell that to the soccer moms with the "Jeep Wave" stickers on their mirror caps🤦🏻♂️
Probably a dumb question, what are the high pitch noises (7:16 as an example)?
6:08 I live in Italy and that kind of road condition is pretty normal around here
You’re lucky to drive it on those Brookline roads! Beautiful place.
Just upgrade the speakers and you won't have to worry about road and wind noise!!
i love real jeeps like 2 doors
If only the new Jeeps weren't so damn expensive..... ughh.
I cannot finish a Tedward video without thinking a Second Thoughts video opened in a new tab or something.

Please do a review on a willys/rubicon xtreme recon package

Bought a '21 JLU with the 4 banger. Its too slow. Currently trying to sell my Corvette and trade in the Jeep to get an AWD Coupe. A new M240 perhaps?
Seems like the best option unless the Audi TT or Jag F Type seem intriguing to you
Why would you buy small sports coupe with AWD? Buy RWD M2

Didn’t mustie1 have his vw pickup there at the museum for awhile?

Glad I could help
I ended up getting it and it’s everything you said
Those roads look just like our normal city streets in California.

Good car, but bronco is better.
Bronco isn't as capable off road, and the leaking hardtops, wrinkly soft top etc are a deal breaker. No thank you.
