    This video didn't really show how the diamond was cut. We kept seeing it clamped and taking shape, but they skipped the actually cutting.

    • @beerus101
      @beerus101 9 лет назад +8

      When they grind it on a wheel, or 'polish' it, that's when they are adding the facets. If I'm not mistaken, the only time they will really 'cut' the diamond is when it is still in its very rough shape. Although it seems pretty unremarkable, you did see the diamond take shape (through 'polishing' it on the wheel').

    • @doggonemess1

      Corey Williams I'm right there with PlanetRockJesus - I have never found a video or even a description of how a diamond is cut into two pieces. They mention it in the video, but do not demonstrate how it is done. I have always wondered what is used to split a diamond into halves! If anyone can elaborate, I'd be very grateful.

They were sold as lesser diamonds because of their color and what WERE available were so heavily included they weren't worth buying. Most places just did NOT have what I was looking for.
