the media doesn't want Houston sports to succeed. Its the same treatment with the Astros who have been amongst the best for a decade and still get the undercard spots. Texans are going to make you sit and listen.

I agree. There is a bit of chicken and egg approach to sports media in general when it comes to "market". When certain cities and teams get more exposure by the media, it doesn't help build those fan bases. When the same teams are freely "advertised" year after year after year, what does the media expect? The fanbases of certain franchises don't get the same marketing by the media of those franchises that these "marquee" franchises do. The reason the NFC East has the teams it does is because a team not geographically in the East was put in that division to increase its fanbase by the NFL. Has the NFL done this for newer expansion franchises? Are those fanbases smaller because they get much less exposure nationally or even worldwide? Does it take a rocket scientist executive to simply put the two teams that already have exposure to expand to those markets?

That’s the cool thing about CJ and his personality. It kinda opens it up. His love for God and humble confidence. People love it even if they aren’t Houstonians. Something JJ kinda brought. But not something that Altuve couldn’t. Nothing wrong on his part. But he’s just quiet.

Nah I was born and raised in Houston.
The issue is 90% of the time when Pro Houston Sports were put on the national media stage and it people did respect them and give them favor, they choked and embarrassed themselves.
Too many to even list, but Rockets 0-26 against GSW, the letterman jacket Texans, Astros cheating, etc.
So nationally media rightfully don’t trust Houston teams.
When we come through we get the respect
See all the CJ stroud praise and Demeco Ryans praise they getting right now.
Plus people still remember the 93-95 Rockets and Astros historic playoff run.
And Comets had that legacy too but the owner sold them and folded before WNBA was fully established.

Well said. Houston is a great city, full of hard working people. This turnaround has been fun no matter what happens this Saturday. Ravens started the season and may bookend it with another loss but the Texans have top 5 cap room and a full draft...so the future is incredibly bright going forward. If they can beat the Ravens it will be mind bending

also got to give credit to McNair family they keep pounding and pounding look for GM and they finally got Nick. Which is weird, Nick was recommended by BOB, Nick supposed to work with BOB as GM. Texans are very lucky that none of BOB "BOB Fired October 5, 2020."people around when Nick arrived in Houston January 7, 2021. They crossed path and now Nick hand are freed he don't owed anyone at Kirby any favors, this enabale him to build the team he wanted not HC BOB or any HC that are there.

People who don’t want to acknowledge what has happened in Houston either hate us, don’t watch us, or choose to ignore us. The Cowboys can win 4 games and still get more prime time slots. People in the National media were slow to see the Generational Talent in CJ. It wasn’t until they beat the Bengals with Burrow that people started to see CJ’s talent. Nick Casserio deserves credit for fixing the hot mess Bill O’Brien dropped in his lap. Demeco changed the culture from day 1 and has gotten 100% buy in on his vision. Bobby Slowik deserves some credit for some great game plans and the design of the offense around CJ and maximizing the players in the offense talent. The Texans earned that win against Cleveland and now we need to earn the next 2! Then we might get the respect we deserve.

It was like the air out of the Browns were deflated once The score was 38-14..Considering CJ had nearly the entire 4th quarter off....The Texans will not be a push over in their next game....This WIN put the Texans on the map for a long time to come!!! I hope they play Ravens so when the Texans WIN and then have to beat Mahomes...The MVP trophy should be an automatic for CJ! He would have beaten all the candidates leaving him alone with ONLY JIM BROWN for the only ROY to win a MVP!....Can't wait till the next playoff game.

Did you see what Chris Collingsworth said? CJ isn’t great. I always hated Chris Collingsworth. He always dissed the Texans. I LOVE CJ. He is such a great role model for kids to look up to. He’s cool, humble, he’s talented, he’s got more common sense than Collingsworth could ever have… the Texans could make “6 touchdowns in 1 play” and Collingsworth would criticize. He’s a big jack-a. I was a season ticket holder… until Bill Butthead O’Brien couldn’t handle talent and traded all of the superstars for pennies on the dollar. His first mistake was disrespecting Andre Johnson. Andre singularly entertained us for years. Not to mention him being a stand up guy. I walked away from season tkts and the PSL. Couldn’t give it away. I moved away But now want to move back. I sat in so many bad games.. I want a piece of this winning action… Demeco has always been a great guy saw him as a player. The whole current team is good. Those young guys are having fun. I wish some of our greats like Andre, JJ, Cushing, Deandre Hopkins etc… we’re here to experience this. These previous players played real hard for us. Anyway… I plan to come back to watch a few games. If they get to the Super Bowl (never say never)… New York jets were my dad’s favorite team and they weren’t supposed to win in ‘69 with “Joe Willie”. I’m happy for my second home city.
