Just 3 years is the crazy part. People forget how shitty the Patricia Quinn roster was. As sweet as this is it is just the beginning. They're gonna be loaded next year

It’s amazing. It was as good as winning the superbowl. Probably even better in my mind. The stars aligned perfectly for this to be an amazing storyline to get the first win, then revenge at the same time
The incredible interesting thing is Sheila Ford realized she could not continue like her Father. So she reached out to a college classmate who’s the head of a Fortune 500 company and asked him where she should start. That led her to Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell. Holmes learned from Les Snead and Campbell from Bill Parcells & Payton. Incredible turnaround in a short time🏈
She brought in Chris spielman a former player, she asked him to help her make the right hiring choice, and he had a big hand in getting Campbell and Holmes, Campbell played in Detroit on the 0 and 16 team in 2008 he WANTED to be here.
That Brad Holmes moment was so moving. To keep getting questioned over and over again about draft decisions, trade deadline moves or lack there of.
The talent they've assembled here is wild! And to think this organization is just getting startd 😮😮😮😮😮

@@Warden033 And that's only a slice of the full story. The Lions were a good team in 2022 that barely missed the playoffs. Then they draft Gibbs, LaPorta, Branch, and Campbell. Wags slam their draft as being full of mistakes. Then all four of those guys either start of have an immediate major impact, proving all the critics of their draft completely wrong, and making Campbell and Holmes look like ankle-biting geniouses. They saw something in those draftees that other teams undervalued or missed completely.
It's below zero in the D today but we are all feeling so warm inside.

In what way? I mean, historically NFL coaching was pretty racist. The majority of players are black, but there were only white head coaches for decades. But I’m not sure how you can point to a single hiring as being racist, unless more qualified black coaches were all passed over.

Proud of Jared Goff (cal alumn here) proud of Dan Campbell and this team.. lions were most underrated team this year but look at them now. Last 3 years we could see the building of this team,, we knew Dan and group were marching down the right path.

Don’t forget Dan Campbell was on the 0-16 team got hurt game 1 and couldn’t play the season out…had to watch. I think that stuck with him.

Absolutely. The moment I started having hope is when she started asking for input instead of assuming she knew what to do. It was the first instance of ownership accountability I'd ever seen in 40+ years as a fan. Much love to Sheila.

Man, I'm 65 years old. I used to take my kids to the game as a season Ticket holder always been a fan Of my lions. Even before we beat the rams, people hate, including yourself "It's still the lions" I can't begin to tell you the emotions of seeing my team win that game Sunday. Let's be clear football has its place in the grand scheme of life But outside of that, a true lion fan knows that win was #1 in our world of entertainment and finding joy and satisfaction from life

I’m like y’all. The story is what makes it. When you saw Ford Field packed to the gills it was electric. And I said to my friend, if they score on the opening drive the city is going to erupt. This is why we love sports fam. It’s doesn’t get any better than that. And you know it means the world to those fans.

Looking at the NFC brackets before the start of this year's playoffs, and what do you see? A bunch of annual contenders and the upstart new kid on the block, the Detroit Lions. The Lions pushing their way into the top echelon of the NFL is a huge story and a beacon of hope for every other also-ran team in the league. If your team missed the playoffs again this season, you've got to be cheering for the Lions. In three years they've gone from zeroes to hereos.

It was not a Stafford for Goff Trade! It was a Stafford trade for multiple first round and top draft picks. McVay threw in Goff for some reason. Detroit built a team off that trade to what they are today. Crazy, just Crazy. If the lions kept Stafford and didn’t get those picks, they would still be losers.
