    It makes perfect sense, when you look what CJ had to overcome to get to the NFL. At a young age of 13, his father, who was a pastor, commits a crime and is sentenced 38 years to life. He could have easily chosen the wrong path after that. His mom got a job at a storage facility, allowing them a place to live in the upstairs unit shared with his mom and 3 siblings. Third time they had to downsize. Better than living on the streets, close call. Played high school football with one broken contact lens because money was tight. No money for special coaching or camps, so he had to watch youtube video's of Drew Brees. He was malnourished so he had to get help with food and receive donated equipment to play football. He certainly didn't have the right of passage like Shedeur Sanders, where everything was handed to him. Developed a chip in his shoulder and had to fight for everything. Mad respect as he lost twice to my Michigan Wolverines while at Ohio State. Then the incident with his S2 Cognition test scoring only 18% compared to Bryce Young scoring 98%, which sent his draft prospects tumbling down to possibly the 4th QB to be picked. Through the grace of God, he has overcame his circumstances and become a leader of men. His accomplishments on the field, stats, and records broken as a rookie, are all accomplished by his maturity, faith, and determination to be a better player and leader.

    • @Evilene52
      @Evilene52 Год назад +1

      He lost to Michigan because of the sign stealing program which ruined CJ's opportunity to win the Heisman in 2021 and 2022. The fact that he didn't have a touchdown in the 2nd half of those 2 games tells me everything I need to know. There is no way Michigan's defense is better than the NFL defenses. Also, it didn't help that OSU's defense couldn't get off the field due to the Wolverines knowing exactly what OSU's plays were. Sad state of affairs.

    • @tie_breaker
      @tie_breaker Год назад

      @@Evilene52 It may have been a blessing in disguise. Not many Heisman winners have success in the NFL and it created a chip in CJ's shoulder as he had something to prove. He almost singlehandedly beat Georgia and no team has ever came close. You get too much success in college and it gets to your head and you crash and burn in the NFL. Just ask Jonny Manziel, Tim Tebow, RG3, Troy Smith, Matt Leinart, and too many more to mention.

Tore his ACL but before that he was going absolutely off. Went into New England and put up 342 total yards and 2 TDs, 307 total yards against the Titans along with 5 Tds, 292 total yards and 5 TDs against KC, 248 total yards and 3 Tds against Cleveland, and ended his rookie campaign with 469 total yards and 4 Tds against Seattle's legion of boom. Stroud is really an anomaly. Rookies aren’t supposed to be so polished. Maybe he played a lot of games in high school and college? But I’ve been saying the AFC South is absolutely loaded with young-gun QB talent. Trevor. Stroud. Levis. And even Richardson although I think he’s on the IR with a shoulder injury. If Richardson learns to slide he’ll be great as he has a ridiculously-strong arm. But Will Levis is a potential dynamo. When I first saw Levis I immediately was reminded of Phillip Rivers although Will has a higher ceiling I think. If that’s true the NFL better watch out for that division because they’re going to light up the NFL like a Christmas Tree.

    • @NAT-turners-Revenge

      Always loved Levis wish my raiders got him; he was my #2 behind stroud. That division could very much be who drafts best and which QB is better prepared.

    CJ Stroud is obviously outperforming. But at his combine he had a ball speed of 59 MPH which is Kirk-Cousins good but Stroud has a 0.3 Load-to-Release (LTR) on shorter routes like slants, the latter being a lot better than Cousins. I saw them both measured on video. And Stroud is really accurate too even though his completion percentage is only in the low-60s last time I checked - I think that stat is only a mirage and Stroud’s number will just improve. But the Vikings need a QB more like Stroud or the guy that they just traded for, someone who has a quicker LTR and at least some mobility. Cousins is an excellent passer but his lack-of-mobility tends to bite him in the you-know-where at the end of playoff games. That’s at least my opinion although I know I’m right ;-)
