IDK about Baalke specifically but I will say that Shad Khan is one of the more incompetent owners in the NFL. There's been some success here and there but largely his tenure has been mired with very questionable and outright stupid decisions as it relates to who he hires and how he runs a franchise (look into the 2018 NFLPA Statement where they basically told players to not sign there). Holding onto Baalke is just another feather in his cap of questionable/outright dumb decisions.
Why would you want Johnson??? He’s a coward trying too hard to find the perfect job. Even Josh McDaniels was that. How many OCs have we seen flame out as head coaches and then out of the NFL?? Get actual turnaround people, especially if they have prior NFL and NCAA head coaching experience with additional NFL assistant coaching experience - Bill O’Brien and Todd Monken.

I lived in Jacksonville for 8 years and it just seemed like the culture of the Jaguars rarely ever gelled. I do wonder if it starts with Baalke. They didn’t draft particularly well either. It wasn’t disastrous but not drafting Aidan Hutchinson with the number one pick in 2022 was a gigantic mistake.
There once was a coach named Pederson, Who was pegged as a “Real leader, son!” Had a guy named Trevor, Their friendship did sever. Doug’s coaching life will now teeter, son!
Can anyone explain to me why Pederson/Reich turned BOTH Wentz and Foles into superstar Super Bowl caliber QB's in 2018, which nobody else was ever able to do with either QB anywhere else, but yet Pederson/Reich both failed as head coaches and couldn't develop a QB after 2018??
Long time coming. Pedersen is the stabilizer you hire when your franchise is down trotted, so he could set it up for the next guy. This move should’ve come a year earlier.
That was definitely part of it...if Trevor was anywhere near a Joe Burrow instead of a Ryan Taneyhill or Derek Carr caliber player...this would not have happened. Trevor is mediocre...every now and then he plays fairly well to good...but at the same time...he has ZERO "game on the line"Clutch...just cue up the sacks, int's, or lousy passes and turn it over on downs when the game is on the line. Trevor also does not seem to inspire his teammates like other qbs do.
Why is everything on the coaches in the NFL? Their defense was the worst in the league which is not Doug’s fault being an offensive guy and considering the GM is the one who hired the defensive coordinator. And there were times were players just flat out weren’t playing well. All the coaches can do is put them in the position to succeed and it is up to the players to actually succeed.acting like they lost the games because of Doug is kind of odd
Jags fan here...I 100% agree that the PLAYERS are a HUGE reason why we stink....they play like they are mailing it in...penalties, low effort, drops, no intensity or urgency...but like Tony Boselli said...if you are Accepting that then you are Coaching that...Doug was Soft...Doug seemed like HE was mailing it in too...and it was HIS team that looked so unprepared and nonchalant every week...he had to go but YES players are every bit as much to blame!
This is why the Jaguars are a model of dysfunction. They refuse to fire Baalke. This is the second time they've done this. It's coming to the point where you have to wonder if Baalke has dirt on the Khans. One could argue Baalke cost the 49ers Jim Harbaugh, when the 49ers would not fire him. If I'm Aaron Glenn or Ben Johnson there is no way I'm looking at the Jags. There is a reason top coordinators don't want any part of this organization. Flores may take the job out of desperation. If I'm him I wouldn't. There are 2 common denominators here and you can't fire the owner. The owner should fire the GM but won't.
Baaalke has done good things and has done bad things. Nothing against him, but it's not like he's killing it every which way. The roster continues to have issues. At some point, it is time for a reset.
I have no idea why owners have a fetish for Trent Baalke. He must be a great office politician.
He is a snitch. He tells ownership everything about everyone and glorifies himself
SF ownership chose TB over JH even after a Superbowl

Not firing Baaalke is malpractice I’m honestly hoping it costs them Johnson

Mike Johnson?
The GM should be fired too
Baalke AND Schoen still being employed is insulting the intelligence of Giants and Jaguars fans

Or drafting Chaison and not Justin Jefferson.
There once was a coach named Pederson,
Who was pegged as a “Real leader, son!”

Their friendship did sever.
Doug’s coaching life will now teeter, son!
Why is Florio laughing in the thumbnail?
Idk but i noticed that fast too 😂
Because he can
He used to play with his hair in high school
Because the Jax franchise, like its owner, is a joke and it’s funny to watch the dumpster explode.
He doesn’t make the thumbnails they usually pick the same face for the videos for the day
This thumbnail wild.
Florio smiling in the thumbnail is messed up 😅
Doug has fallen on the sword twice for Press Taylor.
Loyalty or Stupidity?
Would Press do the same if the roles were reversed?
Doug Pederson is now available for Dallas
Jags fan here -that would be a mistake...
I could see Flores here. He would make that defense lethal with a couple of good pics.
3:21 You can’t get “back on track” if you were never there. The 2017 and 2022 seasons were flukes.
Doug Pederson had to be fired, and this should have been done years ago. You can only blame it Trevor Lawrence for so long.
Years?
I really think Ben Johnson winds up in NOLA the more I think about it. No GM, good O-pieces, he would have full control and pick his GM.
NO HAS a Gm...Mickey Loomis..he has been there for YEARS
Baalke was a disease at the 49ers that saw them fall into an abyss. He should’ve gone as well.

Olines?
It’s a phenomenon called lightning in a bottle.

The Jaguars are screwed for a long time because they are in a financial hole with their generational QB Trevor Lawrence at $275M. Can you say screwed?
Sad that Trevor Lawrence being overrated cost Doug pederson his job.
He is overrated.
Not many have made that claim about Lawrence. I agree about being overrated.

He certainly didn't help Doug much
@@Duvalgator904-u5p nope..we need MUCH more out of him

Patriots Jets Bears Jaguars Saints all need new coaches. Interesting black monday
Why is Shad Khan happy about his team? The Jags have been irrelevant.
Come on back to KC Dougie P!
Shad Khan is such a clown of a owner, no wonder his team sucks.
Baalke runs the team not Shad Khan
I would like to see Chris Simms grow his hair out more on top and get a edgar haircut
No one should that haircut 😂😂😂
Brain Flores.
Lawrence is a bum
