You can't keep making the o-line argument when CJ has been playing behind a makeshift line for the whole season. His current center is 4th string, and his starting right tackle is currently playing left guard. CJ might just be the best pure passer in the league atm.

To be fair, I don't think CJ would be this good at Carolina. Bryce Young is a very good QB, but he is playing on a pretty bad team. Carolina's struggles cannot be on Young's shoulders. He has a bad O-line and no weapons, an ineffective run game and a defense that can't stop anything. If Carolina builds around him, gives him the tools that teams like the Lions, Eagles and Chiefs have, he can be an excellent QB and elevate his team like CJ is doing.

How can you say that when you just admitted you didn't watch him in college? Once again, Skip is just running his mouth. CJ was up for the Heisman both years he started at Ohio State. MVP talk always starts way too early, we just crossed the halfway point of the season. At the end of week 5 Josh Allen was being talked about heavily for MVP, now where is he? CJ Stroud has entered the conversation at just the right time with 2 huge statement wins in a row. There is still A LOT of football left to play. Between now and the end of the season, CJ could be the obvious choice for MVP if he keeps playing like this, or if he stumbles on more than a game or two he might not even get a single vote. That said, he has shown superior performance in a league with a lot of superstars. Whether he wins the MVP as rookie or not, the Texans have a top tier quarterback and a bright future with this guy.

If he finishes with 4500 yards, 30td’s and 4 picks plus makes the playoffs, he definitely the mvp. That would be better than Lamar’s mvp season when he had that amount of turnovers.

Skip is Out of his damn mind! the Texans offensive line is probably one of the top three worst in football. And as far as weapons go, everyone rated the Texans receiving court dead last in the off-season CJ is making these guys not the other way around. As a Texans fan, I didn’t even want him to play because I thought he was going to get wrecked since we couldn’t run the ball we had a poor offensive line and there was literally no one to throw to. This kid is getting the ball out so quick that he is subsidizing our running game through the quick passing game and he is able to pick a part defenses and put the ball on these no name receivers in the perfect spot to move the ball down the damn field and it is more than impressive. Skip saying he is not as good as that guy in Carolina, whose name I won’t even mention is ridiculous. We were a terrible team last year and the roster is not much different. Besides, CJ and people need to give him his props.

As a Houston fan, the only weapon getting consistent reps this year that played last year is Nico. Tank, Shultz, Woods, Noah Brown, Metchie, even Xavier Hutchinson were acquired this off-season. Our recover group was greatly improved this off season and I knew they were better than people were saying.
That being said, CJ is definitely elevating these players and has played out of his mind. THANK YOU LOVIE

If you really think about we just didn't have good QB play we was in almost every game they would of won a lot of those games last year if we had him we would beat the eagles and Chiefs last year

@@marquisenolan6877 I kind of agree. The major problem though is that we’re still not a great team. We have one of the worst offensive lines in football. The way we’re getting around that is we are throwing the ball to supplement the run game and CJ is getting rid of it quicker than anyone else in the game right now and making excellent decisions. He’s also throwing to what was ranked as the worst receiving Core in football in the preseason and I didn’t hear a single person disagree with that before the season started and on top of that our defense is average I don’t think Joe Burrow or any other quarterback in the leaguewould have this team playing this way with this roster unlike other rookie quarterbacks who have had quick success CJ is doing it by reading the whole field and throwing the football, not using his legs or any kind of gimmick RPO’s.

We don't have the worst offensive line if we did he wouldn't have time to throw the ball down field he lead the NFL in deep passes your not doing that without blocking they do a good job at picking up blitz and defense is good enough the Bengals were helped out by the refs on a lot of there drives they said he fumbled and he didn't that's 3 points they lost they said Robert Woods stepped out of bounds and came back in on his TD catch that's 7 points right there we stopped them and they called pass interference on Tavier Thomas that changed the course of the game they at least beating the Bengals by 10 are more of the refs didn't help them defense played good against Joe Burrow
