Hi there, great tutorial but I had a quick question. I use the Pilot Parallel Pens in the eyedropper format by filling the barrel with Noodler's Ink to do scoreboards at my job but experience feathering at times. If I were to mix gum arabic with the Noodlers and then fill the barrel, will the arabic settle and clog the nib or does it dissolve into the ink to allow consistent flow even after the pen has sat for a few days to a week?
This was a very informative tutorial... but the background music was a little too loud, and interfered with your speaking... "Thank you" for sharing this video

Love your videos! JetPens is reliable, and has great pen tips and hacks!
Thank you for your kind words!
I just recently got into calligraphy and this channel is so helpful!
Wonderful tutorial! So informative and organized
Really excellent tutorial- thanks muchly!
will these remain water soluble after dried? If i wanted to watercolor over it, will it bleed together?
It depends on what you use to mix. The Speedball inks for example, are waterproof so they remain waterproof.
love this...thanks so much!
great tutorial. I only have liquid gum arabic will the measurements be the same as powder
Yes--the measurement is roughly the same, but you might want to experiment to see what works best for you.
thank you

We do not recommend doing this as it will clog your pen.

Is it possible to use eyeshadow to make inks?
Unfortunately, we don't have experience with this!
I know I'm late but I have a question. If I thin out the DR MARTIN'S PH WHITE too much can I add some gum Arabic. thanks
Yes you can! It might not be as opaque though.
Thanks for replying in a flash
Great vid! I've got a question though: are there any cheaper alternative to arabian gum? like flour or something? ;)
We don't know of any alternatives!
what nib are you using?
The Brause Blue Pumpkin! www.jetpens.com/Brause-361-Steno-Blue-Pumpkin-Calligraphy-Pen-Nib-Fine-Point/pd/5809
JetPens PenPal thank you!!
Isn't the ink too viscous?
What is the gum arabic for?
It helps thicken up the ink so it can be used with nibs.
Will it also work without?
@@ninal.3109 No, without it may be too runny and difficult to write with
Nib holder used?
It's this one: www.jetpens.com/Speedball-Oblique-Pen-Nib-Holder/pd/12366
