One of the coolest things I've discovered about the Pilot Varsity is the hack that let me refill it with whatever bottled ink I have, so I really don't have to throw them in the recycle bin, lol. I love turning the Platinum Preppy into an eyedropper too! It's so easy and it helps me use up all my ink samples 😉.
I do believe it is easier to pick a new puppy than to decide on which pen you want the most. I have become enchanted with the LePen line and cannot stop collecting. Their inks are so nice, thank you for carrying them
LePen takes me back to the 80’s at the Hallmark store trying to figure out what colors I wanted to buy. It was a thing. Love seeing them around again lol
I thought the Pentel EnerGels were gonna get a mention here. 😊 They're my favorite gel pen by far, and a super classy setup when used with my Machine Era brass body.
I am a nurse who still has to chart a lot by pen. Pentel Energel 0.5 needle point is my favorite pen!! I always buy limited versions when available and I keep plenty of refills. Great finger grip and good ink flow!
The Zebra Sarasa Vintage pens are fantastic, especially because they offer refills in the all the original colours. I’d love it if they’d offer 07 and 1.0 refills.
In Indonesia students usually use Kenko or Joyko stationary ranging from as low as 0.15 USD to about 0.34 USD. They are dupes of sarasa and pilot. Btw Japanese stationary is much cheaper here. Sarasa clip is less than 1 dollar, 0,91 USD😊
You'll have to pry my Zebra Sarsa clips from my cold dead hand...though I'd probably prefer to be buried with them, but gotta admit, I also really like those LePens. They feel nice in my (undead) hand when using them and they're smooth, which suits my tiny writing style.
Without a doubt it's the Uni Jetstream; didn't know you can get consistent gel pen like flow from a ballpoint until I started using Uni Jetstream pens.
I love multi pens. They make my life so easier. The jetstream line is something I've only recently started to appreciate fully. Those fountain pens were my very first ones some 10 years ago.
I discovered the Zebra Sarasa Clip Gel Pens on a trip to Japan, just randomly at a convenience store, and they are now my absolute favorite for everyday use. They're sooo good!
The Zebra Sarasa clip is a favorite of mine! Also the Pilot Juice Up 04 and Pentel Energel 0.5 needlepoint gel pen. I usually like a fine line compared to bold so everyone has their own favorite.
Oh those Pilot Varsity fountain pens are great! I used those plenty in college and it's what basically seeded my desire to get more fountain pens much later in life when I could afford to spend a bit more.
I went to a lecture at the local library a few months ago because i was intrigued by the idea of fountain pens that anyone can use, being left-handed and never taught how to do so correctly (my few attempts in grade school resulted in either bent nibs or big blotches of ink). At the end, there was a gieaway for Platinum Preppy pens in different colors. I won one, and decided to get a set of six when my tax check came in (although I also bought a clear to get over the free shipping threshold and to have one to experiment with inks if I so desired), and while it took a while for some to get started because of air bubbles in the cartridge, they worked quite well.
Zebra is like the final boss of stationery lol They have the DelGuard, a widely loved mech pencil The Sarasa Gel Pens and Surari ballpoints, both widely enjoyed pen series Not to mention their stainless steel series, so popular that I see so many kids at school use it And the mildliners, one of the most popular highlighter-type pens I don’t think you can ever go wrong with Zebra as a brand 😂
Well, guys, your vids did it. I decided to get those cool RayMay scissors (with a form factor like a pen) this month...probably would have just gotten those, except for your suggestion that these inexpensive pens make a nice add-on so you can get free shipping. So I got the scissors, a washi sticker roll (which I also saw in one of your other videos), and 2 of the "write on anything" pens shown here (though I was very tempted to get one of those vibrant pens). Got a "fine" and a "medium." Excellent marketing, y'all!
That Zebra Sarasa is my favorite. I have an old Zebra Fitt brushed steel capped pen I bought in Narita Airport years ago and I don' t take it out anywhere anymore as people try to "borrow" it permanently. it's so portable and pretty. I was sorry they discontinued it; a capped shorter ballpoint is perfect for pocket or purse.
Hey Jet pens! Do you know if anyone makes a faux cap to post on a fountain pen? So. I have a cap- but its too long and heavy. But without it, the pen is too short. If I had dedicated posting cap- to only sit on the back while the real cap is still used for the tip- that would work. Do people make these?
The Uni Jetstream works so well and drys so fast - no smudging! But the Zebra Sarasa is a horrible line. The ink dries up very fast and won’t write anymore after like two weeks :(
i noticed some hotel pens / premium gifts from education fair and the likes writes very smoothly and i love them lots. but i dont know what kind of pen (ink) are they coz all the ballpoint pens that i buy doesnt write as smoothly as theirs. they dont seem to be rollerball point pen since the ink is not very liquid but yeah, anyone knows what kind of pens are those?
You wanna hear true affordable ??(i can't guarantee of quality, i myself can't use them for ink issues, but 70% indians use them), then it is use-and-throw pens costing 4 cents each.. Also expected pilot v5/v7 there.. it costs 75 cents worth in india.. but its writing is.. chef's kiss..
Most ballpoint pens are left-handed people friendly already! You can see more pen picks here: www.jetpens.com/Left-Handed-Supplies/ct/555?&f=89d5a6676ad6dc20#id=x16_be961f62acd92216ac534619aae1d558
@@JetPens Thank you for the response. I’m not sure if my message was auto corrected or if I had a moment of dyslexia word replacement, because my brain was thinking fountain pen. Do you have fountain pens for left handed people, specifically those who do not curl their wrist.
There are sites here in India, though the variety is limited. Nofikrr, Bumbokart, Japanese Taste are some of the sites. But the cost can be very high on some sites. Generally they sell at the yen price: that is ₹1 to ¥1, which is unfortunate. It should be half of the yen price. Delivery price is reasonable.
What’s YOUR favorite cheap pen? Let us know in the comments!
Claro teen gel
Definitely Uni Jetstream ballpoint pen! ❤❤❤
im obsessed with the sign pen :)
I got the Sarasa Dry, and Uni Jetstream.
On thing I like about these are that you basically just buy one pen and then buy their refills indefinitely.
Being a indian 34 dollar pens are just damn expensive for me

Ok yeah I have to echo that, I wouldn't mind also knowing about this hack! =D

The Zebra Sarasa Vintage shades are my absolute favorite when I want a subtle pop of color. I wish they’d come out with more shades!
Yes I have all the vintage colors. Great journaling pens!
The Pilot Multi-Ball is a little known gem. Works great on smooth surfaces. Choose the medium if you plan on using more like a Sharpie.

@ptrcbh Joyko, Zebra Sarasa, and Pentel have official stores at Tokopedia, don't know about Shopee.

Takumi from Japan, a calligrapher, loves Zebra Sarasa Clips. He uses them constantly.
I love the Sarasa clips! The clips are super strong unless your grandson picks it up and pulls on it as hard as he can. 😊

Zebra Sarasa Clip Vintage all the way! 😍
im thinking of getting the zebra sarasa clip since they do offer color that you can choose and im a fan of gel ink pens
Do it, they're great!
My favorite gel pens are the Pentel Energel Clena. They're so beautiful and cost under $4.00. But I miss my Peanuts gel pen!

Idk. Basic Zebra pens have been a let down. Messy, uneven ink flow and they dry out easily. The more expensive ones are excellent.

I think the Muji Gel Ink ballpoint pen is one of the best cheap pens. Writes surprisingly well and is super cheap
I thought I might be ruined for ballpoint pens, but I'm totally going to try one of those Jetstreams in my next order...
I've really started to enjoy the Sarasa brand
Love ur pen videos!
Dear Jetpens
Pls recommend a good pencil case where I can fit my scitific calculater under 15 bucks
My Varsity from a decade ago still writes perfectly
I bought the Sarasa Mark On. ❤❤❤
I just got my pen fix for the day...ty 🙂
Why did I never notice Platinum Preppy was that affordable?!
They're soooo good for what they cost. They never dry out. I have a bunch and fill all my favourite inks in them.
The Zebra Sarasa 4 color pen costs four times more here in Sweden...
Guess I will have to wait to get that pen.
