It's simply a classic, but perhaps the best thing about it is that it's affordable and everywhere. Picked one up from my local supermarket last month for £5. Special mention for the Jotter XL which addresses the main criticism that the Jotter is too small for long writing sessions. Also, use the gel refills for a pen that can meet all your writing needs.
Steve you are on point with everything here! What a price on that Jotter! We especially recommend the Jotter for quick notes and taking it on the go because of its size.
It's always a good idea to have a nice looking pen & notebook for job interviews and the like. It's not that the absence of them will make you look bad, but moreso that he presence of them will make you look good. It doesn't have to be a Parker of course, any nice looking metal pen will do. You don't really have to spend all that much, about $10-$20. I think that's worth it, at least (and usually they also have a slightly better writing experience than the cheap pens, but that might depend on preference).
Lovely pen. It's my EDC for High School and my Music School in Spain. I've seen them several times in the American show "The Mentalist" and in the British "Line of Duty". And in "Danger close: The Battle of Long Tan" the main character writes notes with a plastic Jotter. They are so well-designed, affordable, classy... They are just a global icon. I have four: two from the sixties made in the USA, which I keep at home, and two from France, which I use all the time.
It’s also in the movie “Prisoners” (2013) with Hugh Jackman & Jake Gyllenhaal (Jake’s a police detective that uses a standard black & chrome Jotter to take down notes). 📖✍🏼
I just watched the movie "The Lincoln Lawyer " and I think Matthew McConaughey character uses a Jotter Goldeneye in the first scenes. Also, the President of Portugal signed the Book of Honour of the Belgium Royal Palace with a Jotter Goldeneye too, it was quite visible in detail on a tv news report
We love Parker Pens too! We do not currently carry the Sonnet however we love the Sonnet Fountain pen! You can always trust Parker for a quality writing instrument.
First discovered the Jotter when I was living in the French Caribbean and never went back. I prefer the 0.5 point gel cartridges. Smoothest ever. I also look for them in every movie and show I watch.
My love for pens started with fountain pens. Recently, I just bought the Jotter in matte black and a Parker LS. I'm glad I bought both, but I still love my Duofolds. Parker makes great pens.
This is also my most favorite pen to carry and write due to flexibility, reliability, and effectivity🖊. Thanks Sir Michael for uploading my favorite pen of all time through silver screen. Stay safe Sir🙏
It is crazy how often they do show up. You will find them scattered through movies and television set in the 70s, 80s and 90s because of their design. It is a fun game for us pen nerds 😂
I just saw it in Daisy and the Six - I was born in 1956 and when I was in school it was a treat my mother would let me buy as a school supply. It was sold in the grocery store back when I was in school in the late 60’s,early 70’s. Still have and use them today. Brings back fond memories.
I got a new one last week ("made in France") for £7 or so, and today I found my old one from the mid-80's ("made in USA"). Comparing the two, side by side, there are only very, very subtle changes on the arrowhead clip's design, and the later clicky mechanism sounds a bit more snappy. Threads on the barrels haven't been changed, apparently; as they are fully interchangeable. Most importantly, you can still get Parker refills today, should you need a new one! There are so many ball pens from other manufacturers out there with proprietary refills which have been discontinued.
Yes i do like Parker jotter..and going to get more ..i already have the Parker classic CT ball point pen stainless steel slim.. great looking and only to recommend to use with gel quick flow refill ..in jotter and also in classic CT pen
Where in Breakfast Club? Brian's pen is probably best known and it's a Lamy. Stranger Than Fiction is one I didn't see on the list. Awesome film and features a jotter quite a few times.
We aren't quite sure where the Jotter appears Lisa. We found it mentioned a few times in our research. Sounds like we might need a movie day here at the office.... That Lamy is a great pen; we have featured it in a few blogs. We might have to add Stranger Than Fiction to our list! Thanks for the comment!
@@DayspringPens It is in the janitor's pocket. He is the only character who wins everyone over. He was also Shermer's man of the year if you watch the beginning really slowly.
I love these pens. I have a collection of them because all my friends see them and want them, so I send them home with one😂 I much prefer the fine point ink insert to the gel.
I bought a standard size Stainless Steel Jotter last weekend. The XL was just a bit too much pen for my liking. I also bought the .5mm black Quinkflow -> or whatever it's called...lol -> at the same time to replace the .7mm blue cartridge the pen came with. I don't like blue ink and the marginally thinner writing .5mm black is more my speed. Here in Toronto Canada at Staples it cost me $30 for both including taxes. A bit dear but glad I sprung for it. Now I have to justify the $90 plus taxes and shipping to get myself a Smythson Panama Notebook that I really, really don't need.🤔 Father's Day present!!!🏁🍾
It's a super awesome reliable pen. Back when I was in college and I would try a bunch of different ballpoint pens that readily failed me, especially during critical times in class and or testing. The Parker Jotter was always reliable and true. It cannot be overstated enough that the consistent ink refills are the hidden success behind the sleek Parker Jotter design.
Have been using a Jotter, like my Dad pretty much always did, for the last 20+yrs... Went and bought a 10pk ~12yrs ago just to make sure I had plenty of "back-ups" if I lose any...
The Jotter comes in a fountain pen? I have a few Parker fountain pens, but I've never even heard of the Jotter fountain pen. It may be time for a pen purchase.
Guys I recently bought a jotter and when I click it sometimes the Button kind of snaps down on the refill , and then it clicks, it feels like it is holding onto something on the inside but then it “slides” in the corect position. Does anyone know How to fix this or What causes it?
It depends on which model you buy. Some of the Jotters are sold with ballpoint while others are sold with gel. You can always buy a refill of whichever you like.
I have a Parker Jotter in stainless steel just like yourts and I love it, what I don't love is your generic commercial background music, horrible and too high in the mix, distracting and not complementary to your calm and earnest presentational style.
A parker jotter is a pen for children. It's too small and slim for adult hands. It's just been marketed well. There are loads of better pens and brands out there.
My father gave me a Parker pen 45 years ago and still works smoothly.
Is it ballpoint pen ? If so does it ever stop of ink ? Bro please tell ❤, I am thinking of buying a Parker pen ❤
Fountain pen?

I never cared about pen content before but this is super cool.
We know that not everyone are pen nerds like us but we thought it was cool to see how mainstream the Jotter is!

Parker pens are just great - the sonnet is the best fountain pen that I ever used . It is so underrated in the pen community. For me , it’s the best

I from India and its cost is 60$
Parker jotter pencil is the smoothest mechanical pencil lead I’ve ever felt! buttery and with bold application!
Had no idea this pen was in so many movies!!

@@DayspringPens Tnx Sir/Ma'am
I have used the Jotter for year, I used to and still do call it a T Ball Jotter. I have two right now. Love it.
Now I need a montage of every movie shot of a Parker pen, I've only seen it in GoldenEye 😄

Parker Jotter, Sheaffer Sentinel e Zebra F701, all steel and ballpoints. The perfect trio
I have around 200 Parker Jotter and even now i still buy them sometimes when i find a good deal on ebay. Is the only pen i use. Best pen

I own 2 Parker Jotter , a vintage from 1991 ( retired from use ) and my current one stainless steel GT ❤️
You really can't beat a jotter! What kind of refill do you keep in them? Our staff loves the gel refill.
Just use the quinkflow that comes with the pen , I'm planning on getting the pr4 refills soon
My dad gave me one for school, love it! it writes so smooth!
Yes i do like Parker jotter..and going to get more ..i already have the Parker classic CT ball point pen stainless steel slim.. great looking and only to recommend to use with gel quick flow refill ..in jotter and also in classic CT pen
Dude, you forgot to mention the gel ink refills. That’s the pen that sold it for me.
My dad’s “best pen” was a jotter. It became my favorite, too
Really good production quality for the amount of subs, goddamn
Thanks fox stevens-clay... tell all your friends 😂

It is amazing how different of a writing experience it is between the normal Jotter and the XL. Thanks for the comment!
In the TV series Endeavour, Morse uses a black plastic Jotter all the time.
Good call! We tried to find it online and the first thing we discovered was a GIF of Morse thinking and fidgeting with his black Jotter!
I have had one since 1976 ; love it !❤😊
I just saw the Gold Jotter in the Netflix series The Watcher episode 5
There is a fresh appearance in Gran Turismo 2023 movie. On 9th minute, marketing manager writes with Parker IM Ballpoint Pen.
I used to always spot the Jotter in movies and blurt out "Parker Jotter!". My gf probably got tired of it. It's a famous pen!
I had seen all those movies and yet didn't notice that it was a Parker
We were surprised too! It shows just how good of a pen it is!
A great pen at almost any price! Smooth writing and looks good and I love the iconic click !
Totally agree!

In the sphere of archetypes, the Jotter is THE pen.
I can't stop "clicking"!!!!😅
Do you guys deliver to India ??
Yes we do! It usually takes 7-12 days to arrive.
Hello Sir/Ma'am do you also supply in Philippines?
Yes, we ship to the Philippines. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Most international orders arrive within a couple weeks.

What's special about this pen is the click mechanism.
No mention that it is also a fountain pen. My partner loves the ball point.
Thanks for the comment. We only talked about the ballpoint because it is what appears in most of these movies.
The Jotter comes in a fountain pen? I have a few Parker fountain pens, but I've never even heard of the Jotter fountain pen. It may be time for a pen purchase.
@@theheathen100 It most certainly does, reasonably priced. Check out Amazon
@@edwardstaats4935 Thanks for the info.
l have one since 1988 😊 love it!
Only pen I have used for the pass 20+ years.
I had one of these pens in my younger years. I wasn’t a huge fan and the clicking felt too tinny.
I have one for 20+ years now :)
And the guy in Goldeneye was invincible as long as he had that pen. He didn't die til after he lost it. (Should I say "spoiler"? lol sorry)
I have one myself, however, performancewise it still sucks next to a dirt cheap BIC Cristal.

Use WD-40, a little spray?
Nice
Parker jotter is a James bond pen.
India made Parker jotter ( luxor brand ) is of substandard quality.
Leonardo use Parker jotter in shutter Island
It is also in joker movie
Is it Ball pen?

Don’t know why but I’ve never liked the jotter refills.
You looks like PewDiePie
Over the years, the pen has become very light and lost its former quality.
A parker jotter is a pen for children. It's too small and slim for adult hands. It's just been marketed well. There are loads of better pens and brands out there.
Probably because they provided them for free.LOL
i have a 1 - 2 dollar pen and it writes better than a parker jotter ☠️
Show the pen while you're talking, not your face as much. This was so annoying.
