- The Ford Puma is no longer a small, four-seater coupe. It’s now a small, five-seat, five-door, crossover. And some of them even have an ST badge! However, will this new generation hatchback win over the boy racer brigade that were transfixed by the Fiesta ST? We take this little green ST crossover on test to see if it is as wild as its older sibling.

Well, is it?
Nope the Puma name of that car is just an marketing campaing.
That car has nothing familiar with the real Ford Puma a realy lightweight low siluette small 3 door Sport coupe made for hunting corners.
Those properties made it a real Rally legend.
This strange fake of an successor has none of that
The same With the Ford mustang mach E.
They just misleading branded that car as Mustang to grab the positive emotions from the real deal and tryed to stick that to something else to boost sales.
Just an Psycological trick.
When do we se an SUV Ferrari Enzo ? 😂😂😂😥😫😫🙈🙅😧😬
They really dont get why the originals became legendary in the first place they are completely irrational at that point not a great sing for the future.
Its such a shame.
Mean green the best colour . Great hot hatch and would be amazing if they made a RS version
The Puma is awesome to drive especially the 155hp ST-Line and the ST.
Great video not driven the puma st yet hopefully soon. One thing wrong in your vid the fiesta st is 6.5 0 60 puma 6.7 o60
Imagine an RS version, that would be a riot.
I like it! But here in the States, we’ll never see it. Glad I got my Fiesta ST when I did.
If you’re into hot crossovers then this is your thing but I often relate crossovers/SUVs to non car enthusiasts. Strange car
Nope still prefer how the original puma looked didn't expect it to go to a SUV/crossover type thing
@@Troy_nov1965 i don't mind the Evoque and Duke etc but not ones that use to be a Hot hatch originally and like the Mustang Suv nice backend but front 🤔 . .
Lovely looking car but not a hot hatch it's too high, more like a sports crossover to be honest, think it's like marmite u either love it or hate it, I've just ordered a brand new puma st in mean green I like the quirky Kermit looks it's different, can't wait till September October this year for delivery 💚👌👍🏴
Since a kid one of favourite hot hatch once it was presented in the 99 Geneva Motorshow as Puma ST160 Concept, so at that time already the ST was already in use for sportier versions. The limited edition combined with a lot of changes as limited Slip diff, the brakes, the gearbox and even the chassis have a lot in common with the actual version it's not just one crossover with a badge. However the price is a bit to high in comparison with his younger brother which a reference in the segment. One more brilliant and detailed review👍
Nope, I loved my original 1.7 Puma, amazing handling car that I did 120k miles in, and was excited when I saw a headline that they were releasing a new Puma… then I saw it was an SUV. This is ok but if I were to buy one it would only be because of the name/nostalgia for which this is a totally different car. For about the same money as this I could get a GR Yaris…
@@Justin225 I had an original 1.7 puma. Ive now got an ST I would say the new ST is much better but possibly due to tech coming on so much further and the extra space is nice too!
I really like this car
Focus ST Estate review...?
40 grand school run truck 🤣
Why would you not sell this in America...? 😭
Those headlights a bit extreme. It's not a bad seeming vehicle but don't call this a hot hatch haha
Seems like a warm compact SUV to me
3 cylinder ? No Way.
A lot of trolls in the comment section..
Performance "crossover" is a contradiction. Sits too high. No low center of gravity for cornering. It's funny how much development had to go into making it more locked down in corners when just riding lower would have done the same thing.
Band in the U.S. do to Egos
Looks weird with those small tires imo.
It looks horrible from the front out of proportion in the headlights and bulbous front end
The hell Ford is doing trying to make it look like a miniature SUV, going for the housewife appeal? :D
Pewma
An SUV will never live up to the actual Puma.
What a disgusting looking car! What happened to the original puma? A beautiful coupe!
I'm not a fan of SUVs in general, and even less so in crossovers! They just don't know what they want to be. They share all the ugly looks of a chunky SUV and the limited space of a hatchback, so they're the worst of both worlds!
Sorry Ford, no crossover will ever win me over, give us back the puma coupe!
Football mums going to be all over the road with the ugly crossovers, and who at ford performance decided to look at this and think ah yess performance 🗿
No worries mate. Football husbands can afford more expensive SUVs
What are Ford playing at currently? The Ka cross thing is hideously ugly, they’ve destroyed the Puma, the EcoBoost has both a terrible name and looks like a jacked up shopping trolley, the Kuga is so anonymous it might as well be permanently pixellated and the styling across the range is so similar it might as well be a cut/paste job. Ford are going back to the 90s in a bad way, the pre-Focus era where the company sank into a deep pit of mediocrity.
Fact: It's not a Puma. End of line.
It's ugly
