I don't know why. I'm not a Ford guy at all, I even ordered a Cupra Formentor, but I have a sweetspot for this car. I think it looks just different and it seems to be really a lot of fun. I could totally see myself getting such a car as a 2nd car. It's a manual, it has all the comforts, sounds nice, is really usable...I simply like it.

I’ve got the Vignale 115bhp version of the Puma - the ST wasn’t an option for me on the lease scheme I have it on - but that more fun & nippier thanks the previous 1.6l Zetec Sport fiesta I had. Seriously fun car to drive. Can only imagine how much better the ST is…

Prepare your mind to be blown by my comment. Here is why this car exists: It is fun to drive, has 200 hp, a stick shift, and is rated for towing. To my knowledge, there is no other new car that checks those boxes.
Every time you review a Ford, you end the review by discovering you underrated it. I believe Fords are best value and fun driving,, but of course if one can afford double its cost German cars and their maintenance it is then another story.
Such a shame, because it's got dual injection (port and direct), which means it could actually be quite reliable. But Cylinder Deactivation makes it unreliable again. Maybe you can have it deactivated at a tuning shop?

Im pretty sure the new Focus ST is even more powerful than this, too, something like 250 horsepower. There’s not much of a reason to get the Puma for performance
I hope that you can test the Ford Focus RS too. I like Focus RS with the 410 hp. I want to upgrade mig Opel Vectra OPC with electric motors back and much more power in the front motor. Just now I have round 320 hp on my front wheel but will get round 500 hp and then a pair of strong electric motors in the back wheels. Maybe it will be a sleeper with 700-800 hp some day 🤔
They should drive straight like all cars!!! If your car pulls to a side you should get it checked out. Maybe the wheels/tires were not adjusted properly or your axis is fucked
Most cars should go straight lol. Front wheel drive cars with a lot of power can have “torque steer” tho which pulls the car to a side when accelerating but it shouldn’t really do it once you’re moving. Mainly happens in first gear

Good compromise. If you want more space it is true that there is the focus st but it costs much more as management costs (Italy)

I had a Puma ST-Line X 155 MHEV and traded it for a full fat ST Puma. There is a huge difference between the two cars.

I’ve driven this Puma and the Focus and Fiesta ST and conclusion was the Fiesta ST is easily the most fun you can have on back roads 👌

From my experience, usually the road is inclined to the right, for those with steering wheel on the left, so the car should pull to the right
