One of the surprises is how Gary Neville ('Red Nev') has come to impress me greatly, from someone who groaned through Man Utd's domination of the 90s and early 00s. His optimism, enthusiasm to give things a go, opinionated but insightful commentary - he's the first to criticise his old team and brings out the strong opinions in his fellow commentators - and social/political interests have made me see a whole new side to him, and he's as articulate a pundit as we've had. Sobbing my eyes out at Gary discussing his dad. I hope he is healing. I miss my cousin that recently passed..
Great interview, love this format. Top work Gary!
I used to run a loop from Agecroft Rowing club up the canal to town and then back along the Irwell. Came down Throstle Nest Bridge. Long story short, ended up running along the towpath with Gary Neville, who was out for a jog back when he was still playing. Didn't say anything. We just ran along, then I turned off to pick up the river and he carried on.
He's turned into one of the best commentators / analysts / interviewers around. Outstanding.
we need more of these behind the scenes footage on matchdays
Not on the business and wealth but on mentality and outlook, I resonate more with Neville than I thought 💭
Best overlap by a country mile..you should do more behind the scenes. Especially with Roy keane
Takes a lot of courage to be as honest as Gary was here. A big thank you to you.
These are some of my favourite vids on RUclips 🙂
Great to see behind the scenes, I'd like to see more episodes with bonus footage of the Monday night football commentary. This episode is probably the best so far
Manchester United & Forest Green Rovers Fan here Gary, super proud of what you have accomplished in your career 👍🏻.
Pls get on Eddie Howe fella.
All the best,
M.
I’m a United fan and a Brentford fan. It’s very awkward now!! I was born and lived up north for the first 8 years of my life and had already been taken to Old Trafford by my Dad when I was 5. Then we moved to London and I started supporting Brentford. When they were in the 3rd division. I didn’t see them playing in the top flight when I first went to Griffin Park in 1987!! Yet now they are and they’re doing better than United!! I’ve got a season ticket at Brentford and I go to all the United games in London. I always explain it to people with a sense of irony if nothing else!! 🤣🤣👍👍
I hate the fact that I love him😂👍
It'd be great if we get a full length documentary about Gary's time at Valencia.
